  1. If this will be the final wave I'm sure TLG will put in a set with Frodo and Sam in Mordor/ at Mt. Doom, as it is the most important part of the movies/ the book. And it is likely to put Eowyn, as one of the main female characters in the movies.
  2. Thanks for the review. Does anyone know if this poly will be available in Europe?
  3. I think there will be a third, allbeit small, wave. I think TLG originally planned the LOTR waves as a teaser for the Hobbit sets. There's definitely a connection between the two lines. With the decision to make three instead of two Hobbit movies, TLG might have decided to cut the second and last wave of both hobbit and LOTR in two sections. Instead of two waves with 7 or 8 sets, we will see three waves, the first with seven, the second and third with 4 each (not counting Tower of Orthanc). That leaves room for a few iconic scenes not yet depicted in a set and explaines why the second wave was smaller.
  4. this is really really awesome. The led makes it even more beautiful. I love the trees. Especially the twisted tree is really great. How did u do that?
  5. Nice review! I bought this set a few weeks ago, mainly because it had a really nice discount (50% off). I only recently had the time to build it, but it was a real nice built. The set is better than I expected, it has a nice, spooky feeling and it is bigger than I thought it would be. And the minifigs are really good, escpecially Radagast.
  6. I really like this vignette. Especially the posing of the minifigs is nice. So did I. Really nice how you did that.
  7. Congratulations! I hope all is well. My baby girl is 3 weeks old now, all my spare time goes to her at the moment. There's only little time for Lego...But so much other joy
  8. Nice review, I agree with your conclusions. Minifigs are really nice, but the walls should have been higher.
  9. Nice! I really like the rounded shape. I'm just wondering how you did that. And do I spot a dutch flag on top?
  10. Nice MOC. Great to see the castle is getting its shape. Can't wait to see the final result.
  11. Great review. I definitely will buy the set, as an expansion for my Dol Guldur Battle set (which is still in it's box...). Orcs look great, Beorn gives me mixed feelings. The single piece head doesn't bother me, I'm not sure if I like the printing on the torso. It's great to have him in a set though.
  12. Just picked up Dol Guldur Battle and Lake Town Chase a ordered a few weeks ago from a shop I didn't know. I paid slightly more than 80 euros. For both. An offer I couldn't resist... According to the cashier they made a mistake with the prices on their website. Bad luck for them, I'm very happy!
  13. Thanks everyone for your welcome!
  14. Hi everyone, Since I'm new here, it's a good idea to introduce myself and to tell you how i came out of my dark ages. About a year ago two things happened, within a few weeks. First, we (my wife and I) sold our house. I had to pack our stuff into boxes. I found my lego from my childhood on the attic. Curious as I was, I just made a few models, just to see if it still was complete. Then, just a few days later, I walked into our local toyshop to buy a gift for a friend and discovered there was a lego theme called Lord of the Rings. I decided to buy just a small box (actually Riddles for the ring from the Hobbit). From that moment I was sold. Rebuild all my childhood Lego sets, start buying new ones (mostly LOTR / Hobbit) and start MOCing. And stumbled upon this interesting forum! Greetings, Tuinman BTW: my new home is bigger, so now there's even more space for my Lego now
