  1. You can basically build a replica of you just find a ship you like and then look at the pictures very closely. I know that is not the answer you wanted, but great things arnt made with little work.
  2. What are you talking about??! I hope the annoying redcoats will be slain by the brave and "majestic" pirates.
  3. It varies, because I listen to pandora, but mostly green day, linkin park, 3 days grace, sum 41, kayne west (not sure if that is how you spell it) fort minor, eminem, apocalypta, and a lot of other great bands (including stone sour) that I am to lazy to name.
  4. ;P..........Mine is faster though, so I would never vrs yours though........;P Edit: that is to sebeus and the dread pirate Wesley! And to koltabeamer, sorry, I will take your advice into consideration but for now I am to lazy to rip apart my beautiful ship to do what you are describing.
  5. Wow, not my favorite time period of ships, but the level of detail is amazing! Nice job making it modular, too.
  6. Nice Moc, only thing I dislike is the flat rear baseplate used, even if it is old.
  7. Thanks for all your comments, sails will be made soon. There was no way around the lower rear gun looking squashed. Also the stern side windows don't meet the hull as nice as I wished. image by captaingoldenhook, on Flickr Oh, and sebeus, your Flying Dutchman does not have all the guns in the gun decks, so mine has more guns, it think. And the Flying Dutchman is defiantly not seaworthy.
  8. Nice, not the most HISTORICALLY ACCURATE but a wonderful in between for playability and realisticness (not a word but you get the point)
  9. 164B image by captaingoldenhook, on Flickr ...the sloop of war is patrolling the carribean waters on the fateful day... image by captaingoldenhook, on Flickr "Captain! There is a ship on the horizon!" image by captaingoldenhook, on Flickr "Ahhh, we can take them"................ Or not image by captaingoldenhook, on Flickr Presenting the new and improved eclipse, 44 guns and chasers, fast enough to outrun any man of war and with enough firepower to take any ship smaller. For 90% of you out there, this ship will WREAK your flagships. Most of it was completed in a 11 day period. Now for photos. image by captaingoldenhook, on Flickr image by captaingoldenhook, on Flickr image by captaingoldenhook, on Flickr image by captaingoldenhook, on Flickr image by captaingoldenhook, on Flickr image by captaingoldenhook, on Flickr If you have a ship that you THINK could take this ship, please post and we will have a merry time arguing ;P
  10. Welcome to eurobricks, I wish you a long and fruitfull moc'ing career here.
  11. Nice start, not everything seems clear to me but this will be cool
  12. Nice comic! And I am in it ;P How did you do it, photoshop or did you actually build my sigfig? I notice I don't have my dark green plume, so I am assuming the latter.
  13. Nice Moc, I recognize the crane from the second lego adventure book with that pirate building guy.
  14. Thanks, ultimo :D Captain brawnsfeild the large tan ones name is eclipse, the large yellow ones name is vendetta, the small yellow ones name is Celeste, the one with the triple gun is dissector the maroon striped one is named maroon tiger, and the trading ship with the maroon broadside lines name is up for disscussion.
  15. Severus, your request is noted, I am working on it. Morthan, I have blue baseplates (10) but I would rather use my "sea" rug. Edit, sorry sebeus the spellcheck changed your name ;P
  16. Nice Moc, cool that you made it modular! It would be cool if you added a dock, but obviously if the dock were to be big enough to fit a big ship it would dwarf the town...
  17. Wow, this is indeed a unique take on the standard frigate! The only thing to be improved is the bow, which (no offense) is ugly to me. Great job so far!
  18. Great Moc so far, I tried to build a ship like this and ran into part and budget issues. Don't give up, this will be so much cooler if it is a 2 gun deck ship!
  19. I just made a video of all the ships i made that are still together. It is on my Flickr here https://www.flickr.com/photos/111973605@N07/ If you went and watched it and possibly commented it would mean a lot to me.
  20. Wowwwwwwww! I have never seen such a big ship so far completed! You must be rich to afford all the parts and retired to have the time to build such a monster creation!
  21. Cute little model, it is always cool to see small ships being made. If you were to make another ship, it wouldn't hurt to try to angle the tumble home.
  22. wow, this has gotten far since i last checked this topic..... very impressive.... It looks fairly complete, when are you planning on making a brick version?
  23. wow..... thank you everyone! such detailed explinations! i never know there were so many different kinds of similar ships!
  24. @ kabel: I don't have any hinge plates left @ sebeus: the frigate vendetta is done, I am waiting for someone to close my WIP topic for the frigate before I post the final pictures, I don't want to crowd the forum with a million topics from me. And I haven't made sails yet.... But I am to lazy to make them in the near future. @ mr Townsend: I know what you mean with the stern, but I wanted to continue the tilt all the way to the back and not use slope plates. I tried and failed to close it up to well
  25. as far as i thought, a brig is a 2 masted ship with a taller mast in back and a big gaff sail. and a brigintine was a mini frigate with a interupted gun deck for the rigging attachment. however i read somthing recently that sail brig was short for brigantine. can some ship expert clear this up please?
