  1. I have many extra masts, but at the moment I was saving them for the man-o-war I will make hopefully soon and the black pearl I made for my sister. I have many extras (thanks to a few bricklink purchases) so I can. and yes, I have bought another midsection and I should narrow the bow. I am on vacation so I cannot do it right now. I don't know what the name is, I think I will let the public choose ;P
  2. looks nice, welcome to eurobricks
  3. Yes, this ship is certainly outclassed by the Eclipse -in both design and size. However it is good to get feedback and make my mistakes more obvios so I can get constructive feedback (thanks sebeus, much appriciated ;P)
  4. [pid][/pid] 156D This is a ship I built for fun, the tumblehome is in the style of the christine (by sebeus) here is the link to sebeus's ship http://www.eurobrick...showtopic=90011 not quite brig, not quite galleon, here she is! image by captaingoldenhook, on Flickr some more photos: image by captaingoldenhook, on Flickr image by captaingoldenhook, on Flickr Hope you like it ;P
  5. Looks nice so far! You do know that there are real lego things that look like the things you made out of clay
  6. Thanks everyone for all the feedback!
  7. Thanks!
  8. Nice, you certainly spiced up a boring standard set! Great work!
  9. Thanks everyone!
  10. Yea, can you enter my ship? http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=89718 Thanks
  11. It might be a wise investment to buy some hulls and masts off of Bricklink, I know most of my ships were built on hulls I bought, I only have 2 original sets (the black seas barracuda and the queen Anne's revenge).
  12. Yea, there are a lot of trade offs in lego shipbuilding
  13. Yea, I was
  14. It's coming along nicely! All the brick-made details are very cool! It ceratinly looks like a small English brig. By the way, rear mast there is a big gaff sail and you might consider having a tiller instead of a wheel, it looks kind of big (but that's just my opinion). Other than that, it looks very historically accurate. All in all, great job so far!
  15. I have this great sail material, I would love to give some to you (I Have a lifetime supply of it) , but since you live so far away it probably would cost more in shipping than if you got it yourself. Here is a picture of it: image by captaingoldenhook, on Flickr However I know that there is a tutorial for making custom colored sails. Do you have any ship sets?
  16. This is a Junk I made with chairs. image by captaingoldenhook, on Flickr
  17. Thanks, I will have to try that!
  18. I can't figure out how to do that right (I am a new member)
  19. Answering Sebeus 1: I did that because I stepped out the width twice (by 1/2) and originally had 5 bricks long for every length segment. I changed it through layering to 6 long everywhere. However, the center section would be way to short unless I made the sections around the middle 4 long. In short, I kind of let the model dictate how it turned out. Thanks, I like the stern too ;P
  20. Nice! Even though I am pirate, I still have a collection of redcoats/bluecoats. I originally had my redcoat leader dressed in the same attire. Now he looks like this: image by captaingoldenhook, on Flickr This is my current redcoat ship: image by captaingoldenhook, on Flickr
  21. Thanks! I am a pirates fan, and when will you post your ship? answering commodore Arial Brickson Responding to Matthias: sure, as soon as I can load it to flickr answering captain becker: yea, I agree. But that part was built before I saw other frigates of similar style Answering J9993: Thanks! Here are some more pics: image by captaingoldenhook, on Flickr image by captaingoldenhook, on Flickr image by captaingoldenhook, on Flickr
