  1. I learned that it's best to use smileys to express the context in which you say something. Observe: You are an idiot You are an idiot You are an idiot You are an idiot See? Same sentence, different results
  2. So would I. Human figures can be easily made with loose parts, but it becomes so much harder with the alien heads. There have been some good Hammerhead customs in the past and I'm really happy with the Ree-Yees head; but could do with more variety (Ponda Boba; Quarren, Ugnaughts). I'm in the middle of photographing my 200+ custom Star Wars minifigs. Go to arealightcustoms.com and make them yourselves. All four of them. Why should LEGO make these when the figs are already (partly) available?
  3. Do you maybe have a picture of the parts list? It's always my favorite of new set reviews :-)
  4. Well, the probable answer is here: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=92581
  5. Showed this to my wife yesterday. She then proposed to do the same thing and get rid of 75% of all my LEGO That's the last time I'll show a MOC to her for a while...
  6. I didn't vote on this on cuusoo as I thought it was way, way too big for LEGO to release. Reading now that it's a modular makes it a lot more feasible for a set, so you now got my vote (#1004) :-)
  7. great MOC; L-O-V-E that Falcon !
  8. It got my vote on LEGO Ideas; I love the K-wing It's a bit like the Cobra Rattler from my childhood; there's no substitute to lotsa guns & rockets !!
  9. Very nice diorama; couldn't agree more on the exploding AT-ST; great!
  10. I find these discussions of 'look in the right corner at 1:26 in the movie for 1/10th of a second, you see (random B/C-grade character) walking there, in which set will he come next year?' really funny. May I remind everyone the Star Wars LEGO logo of the year 2000? It looked like this: Look at the left there; it's queen Amidala. This logo stems from the year 2000, yet the figure was released in 2012. So really, don't get your hopes up by everything you see in official star Wars videos! (funny fact: when the first Palpatine figure came out in 2000 people still wanted a Darth Didious minifig, claiming they were not the same figure )
  11. And that's 1000 !! Got official comments from LEGO as well: Wow, they know who Rex is
  12. Yes, but not Vader's TIE-advnaced; it's the Inquisitor's TIE-advanced: For those who don't know; this is an AT-DP Q: Isn't that an AT-AR A: That's what I thought, but with EU out of the window it's apparently an AT-DP... Wonder what that DP stands for... I mean, it only has one gun, not two
  13. I reckon 2015 will introduce an AT-DP rather than an AT-ST, judging from the prototypes of other Star Wars toy makers. Expect a TIE-fighter with curved wings as well :-)
  14. When I login to a site like IMDB, it gives me various options to sign in: via the site itself, but also via Facebook, Google+ etc. I really believe more votes could be generated if signing in would be simplified... As for the meaningless votes; that's why TLG also wants some reasoning behind the votes (what would you pay; how many would you buy; why do you think it needs to be released). If that stays intact it's less of an issue if one would login via Facebook or another provider, I think...
  15. I find one year a bit short really, but I guess it all depends on the following: - Make voting easier. Currently you need to register to vote, and that is something many just don't do. I've had 25000 viewers, and 994 votes. So that means 4% of those who visited, voted. Currently the nr. 1 project is the Invisible hand; there just 3% voted! - Make the site available in multiple languages. 85% of LEGO buyers are, believe it or not, kids. If the site would become available in German, French, Spanish etc. it would make the site more accessible for the younger voters, and hopefully, generate more votes - Draw more attention to the site. Cuusoo, Rebrick, there are various LEGO sites which are hardly promoted from the marketing tools LEGO has at hand; as a consequence traffic is a lot lower than it ought to be. Multipage advert for the new site in all LEGO catalogues maybe? In-store promotions for the site? LEGO prizes when you vote or register? More action on social network sites? - Generate more 'buzz' for projects that are in a lift. Last year we would get an official nod from LEGO at 500 votes. Now it's 1000 votes. And after the 1000 votes? LEGO won't look at it until you get to 5000 votes... Could be more, feedback could be better and more thorough; create some buzz LEGO! and lastly - Once it's made, take clones away. Currently there's a Correlian Defender in Cuusoo @ 2247 supporters, which has been made last year. There's Grievous Wheelbike @ 1019 supporters, which has bene launched in January. One Dr Who set got to the 10000 votes, but there's still a dozen in the longlist. There are still 5 Deloreans in the list... Cleaning up will help a lot in keeping the list up-to-date Just my € 0,02
  16. I'm currently at 993 votes; would be great to reach 1000 before the end of the month. As Cartman would say: 'vote now; free hat !'
  17. really nice; would buy this (even though I already have the old one)
  18. I wouldn't consider the advent calendar minifigs as 'exclusives' really...
  19. You forgot NY I love Yoda ;-)
  20. Well, the UCS Sandcrawler didn't make the cut as TLG already had something similar in the pipeline, but it would be curious to see what will happen if the Invisible Hand (9075 votes) will get to the jury stage. Other than Dr Who, TLG has never taken out any Star Wars projects because of licensing issues, and apart from rumours that Star Wars LEGO projects would 100% not make the cut, I'm still striding for 10000 votes :-) And if the project won't make it? Well, then I'll probably make a limited series of the vehicle myself
  21. In order to celebrate the 500th supporter of my Cuusoo project (see here) I built this Starspeeder 1000 of Dantooine Express: Click on the pic = the complete set of photo's. This is the 2nd alternative version I built (the first one was from Air Alderaan when I reached 250 supporters) Please know that I am currently at 972 supporters, and at 1000 supporters I will build the next version; the Bespin Direct : So keep me busy and vote; all help is welcome!
  22. better: there's a webpage! http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Revan
  23. Hooray! A MOC with a link to a reference pic! Always welcome :-) Very nice rendition of the original; good stuff! Does thou haveth interior pics?
  24. The 10221 Super Star Destoyer contained one in dark bluish grey instead of in dark bluish grey. That was really odd, as the in dark bluish grey doesn't even appear in the 10221! Ordered the extra part at LEGO, got it rightaway. Was the first time in 600+ sets bought that missed a piece.
