  1. So quite a while ago I landed on the odd chance to buy a batch of HAVOC Trooper outfits from the LEGO Star Wars set 9497. I bought the corresponding helmets from Arealights.com and ended up with ten minifigs looking like this: But what to do with all these figures? I decided I needed a vehicle to put all these figures in. Searched a bit on the Internet and found out there was a big Walker in the SW:TOR videogame that was exclusively there to carry troops: It also carried a very peculiar way of opening the backside: Splendid! I decided to build this vehicle for my fresh troops. And here's the end result: It features the same opening construction of the backside: A neat little compartment for the pilot: And it carries quite a few HAVOC troopers - with their weapons. Look at all those smiling faces: I also made a short video of the vehicle, which you can find here Albeit being in the test version of the vehicle, it never made it to the final game - it was replaced by the Manka-Class Armored Transport instead. Look how hideous it is: Eurgh... But I'll surely build it any time soon ;-) Unfortunately the vehicle's role is now reduced to one picture in the SW:TOR videogame, in Timeline 1: Treaty of Coruscant. It's so much reduced in Star Wars history, Wookiepedia decided to cut it out of its pages :-( So treasure what you see here folks; one of the vaguest Star Wars vehicles out there ;-) A lot more pictures can be found here!
  2. Hey all, it's me boring you with new pics :-)
  3. A custom willrow is easily made: minifig - willrow hood by HJR-Holland, on Flickr
  4. Nope, incorrect ;-) the original Hasbro fig was released before the clone wars series started, an on a few details this nightsister is different than mother Talzin. But hey, I can most certainly see the resemblance :-)
  5. Before I poste the extra batch I'd like to do a shameless plug for someone who walked the extra mile for me by making an entire batch of special coloured custom capes: Cape Madness from the USA. I can already show you the first results: That's not looking bad, is it?
  6. White pants? LEGO, do your homework!!!
  7. Bit disappointed about that Flash speeder; would have preferred a Gian speeder: - bigger guns - more screentime - nicer colours (and with all the 'Friends' sets also possible in current colours) - Boss Nass stood by a Gian Speeder, not a Flash Speeder Better make one myself then ;-)
  8. No, those are decals from finecloniercustoms.com nope, none are for sale. But it's all made from LEGO, so you can build all of this yourself :-)
  9. Necro-posting galore! New Minifigs (hey, I promised 250 unique ones!) :-)
  10. I was at the presentation as well in and can confirm everything TWP said. The canopy is EPICby the way, but I do hope Boba will get the thin black paint splat on the neck part, as the one that was presented didn't. As a consequence every time you lifted the helmet, the headpiece came along. Took me ten times before I could finally see the face of Boba. And he didn't look like Jeremy Bulloch at all ;-)
  11. Well, the Desert Sail skiff was later named the "Desert Sail-20 Skiff" so in that sence there are a lot more numbers missing... I have no idea why there's no '1' in the line-up. It started in 1981 with a '3', a '7' and an '8'; in 1982 followed the '4' and the '2', and then in 1983 came the '5' and '6'. so I'm not sure if from the outset they wanted to complete a series. Personally I think the concept Freight-loading external rover could have been the '1', but that one never got released. More info on this vehicle can be found here Nice to see the concept back in the Rebels series though :-) There's a nice article about the minirigs (and bodyrigs) on the official star Wars website which is worth the read; they also stated that KENNER had plans to release a lot more minirigs than they did in the end, and that one of the minirigs ended up in an X-men comic!
  12. Just went to your brickshelf page, and there are various nice vehicles there; why don't you put them on Flickr?
  13. Being an avid KENNER / HASBRO rebuilder myself I truly love it, and could not have made a better variant! But... I'm taking up the challenge of putting a full minifig in there. Did you take into consideration that the Stormtrooper had a harness on? See here: Various LEGO harnesses have studs on the backside; maybe you could use that to 'click' it to the vehicle. But job well done sir; job well done
  14. The sellers at FACTS are the same as the ones' you'd find at venues such as Jedicon, Celebration Europe or 'De verzamelaarsbeurs' in Utrecht. in practice that means serious prices really... Unfortunately FACTS is always programmed in the same week as LEGOworld, and as I'm one of the exhibitors there I unfortunately cannot attend...
  15. Errr... that's what you get when you never EVER visit other parts of this forum
  16. Thanks for helping out
  17. Hello all, Thought this might already be here, but it seems I'm the first here to post about Star Wars Rebels. Saw the first episode yesterday evening, and liked it. it wasn't epic, but it was nice. The style is somewhat different than the Clone Wars cartoons, although one can see parallels between the two: - Big crowd are a rare thing in the star Wars universe - The backgrounds are often plain and simple - Shooting straight still seems impossible - It's a kids show, which means all characters are (for the time being) a bit single-emotion-caricatures; let's see how that develops. I look at these cartoons mostly for the vehicles if I'm honest, and there were some nice ones in there: - the Ghost - AT-DP - Imperial cruiser (marginally larger with four TIEs connected to it; I'd love to see how LEGO would do that one) - Imperial Star Destroyer - TIE Fighters - Imperial Speeder Bike - Wookie Gunship For someone growing up with the original movies, it was great to see new content with all the favourites: TIEs! Stormtroopers! Awesome to see those in this series; hope to see a lot more of them. It was peculiar to see that the Stormtroopers were cannon fodder in the series; in the Clone Wars I hardly saw Clone Troopers die; but in this series they die by the dozen... They still can't shoot properly though; in the midst of the end battle shots fly everywhere, but never seems to hit anyone or anything... Room for improvement there I think. I didn't like the design of the Wookies by the way. I understand that they can't production-technically design every hair, but this didn't look great; I now understand the 'peculiar' versions of LEGO a lot better. Bonus points for the kid-Wookie though; he looks exactly like Lumpy from the Christmas Special So, what did you think about the first episode? I think it was a good start, and look forward to much more; bring it on
  18. Nice build; I really like what you did to the interior
  19. This variant of the vehicle looks very much like the GI Joe Havoc: I made a version myself ten years ago; for more info on the original concept vehicle, just click here :-) I really like this rendition, especially as you just have one picture to base it on. With a gazzilion snowspeeders released surely LEGO should see that they need some kind of transport to take the destroyed ones back to base?
  20. Built another speederbike, this time a Swoop from Shadows of the Empire (as released by KENNER back in 1996): Click the image = more images And the original: Hope you like it And for those fed up with these small MOCs: there's bigger stuff coming pretty soon
  21. And then there's more:
  22. Wow, great! I had this on my to-do list (along with the Han Solo & Luke Skywalker ones) Allow me to steal this idea somewhere in the near future ;-)
  23. Wait till you see the Ric Olié minifig, it's even better
  24. Hey everyone, Time for a new MOC: the speederbike from Power of the Force II from KENNER. The model: Clicking on the image = more images And the original: Hope you like it
  25. ready for the next batch?
