  1. I remember that when LEGO stopped with Alien Conquest after wave 1, they used some of the minifigs from the unreleased wave 2 in the collectable minifig sets. Could very well be that Darth Revan had been foreseen for a TOR set which was cancelled, and then made this appearence as a unique minifig :-)
  2. Move out to your own house and decide what you put where :-) And enjoy every moment of it, because once your girlfriend moves in with you, the LEGO has to be out of sight again. I solved that one by buying a bigger house :-)
  3. Someone has something to say to you:
  4. I think in essence you made nice minifigs, but your pictures areso dark! May I advice to retake the pictures in sunlight? When you photograph them outside in the daytime you get the best results :-)
  5. A nice set to see, but IMHO at least €50 / $75 overpriced...
  6. About €150. Motorization would explain something price-technically, but not everything!
  7. Very nice build; congratulations on it :-)
  8. Just saw I hadn't answered on the topic myself :-) And my answer is: I'm somewhat relieved really, as I have been rather reluctant on building MOCs based from the EU, as LEGO released them as well, and of course at half the costs of a MOC. First LEGO stuck to the movies, so I built vehicles from the cartoons Then LEGO made vehicles from the cartoons, so I built vehicles from the videogames Then LEGO made vehicles from the videogames, so I built vehicles from the comics Then LEGO made vehicles from the comics, so I built vehicles from the vaguest corners of the EU It came to a point that I wanted to quit building MOCs altogether and just wait what LEGO would come up with next As long as I now avoid Ralph McQuirry and KENNER models (a little too late I'm afraid) I'll be save, and have enough models to build for the coming years :-)
  9. We should have more minifigs customs in the star Wars section of this forum. The unfortunately get rerooted to the minifig customisation corner of this forum, where the is a lot less activity... Good advice on using that eraser!! I normally use a special paste used in the jewelry-industry for cleaning up scratches on watches...
  10. I just read this at jedinews.co.uk : Paul Harrison over at our The Force United allies Jedi Temple Archives has posted this piece detailing Hasbro and Lucasfilm's decision to cease production on any Expanded Universe characters. The Expanded Universe is dead folks. Hasbro has been directed by Lucasfilm, Ltd. (the culprit in many of Hasbro's bad business decisions) to avoid the Expanded Universe like the plague. Not only is it next to impossible that we'll see a brand new Expanded Universe figure in the near future (we're talking years folks), older and hard to find figures will NEVER see re-release either. So far there is already an exception. Hasbro has received permission to get Bastila Shan, Darth Malgus, the Republic Trooper and Starkiller out into the line again, but that's only because of the distribution nightmare surrounding The Vintage Collection which have been planned way in advance to the recently announced "No EU" directive. Hasbro said, and I quote, to "not expect to ever see Jaina Solo or Jacen Solo or any other older Comic Packs figure re-released in any way to get out to collectors". Sorry to be the bearer of tragic news, but that's what's going down. On a related note, we will see a huge cutback on the characters from the Prequel Trilogy as well. They're not off limits, but the focus will be on the Original Trilogy and Star Wars: Rebels for the foreseeable future. Read into that what you will, but we are definitely approaching new and uncharted waters as Episode VII draws nearer. Watch this space AFAIK Lucasfilm is also the sparring partner of TLG, so I could very well understand if they would pass a similar message to them: only sets based on the forecoming movie(s) and Star Wars Rebels, and nothing else. LEGO will release a JEK-14 set for this year, but it might be that's the last for now. What is your feeling towards abovementioned decision and an eventual similar decision towards TLG?
  11. I like the sets in general, but that piece of Playmobil (the Bantha) is seriously a complete disgrace. That is not LEGO. Did they hire a Galidor designer for that?!!
  12. UCS Sandcrawler will be presented in March UCS (?) Slave-1 will be presented in September
  13. In the image of the Phantom you can now have a good look at LEGO's interpretation of the 'new' Empire Helmet. It concerns a prototype helmet of Ralph McQuarrie's snowtrooper: +1 !
  14. Well, you could always put in a Bacara: I'm sure there are more wearing this "clone tank drivers" outfit...
  15. Then it should be IG-88A, the only one that has ever been on a Death Star (the 2nd Death Star)
  16. May I put on my gossip head? The separation of the headpiece from the backpack might mean room for Galactic Marines somewhere next year: I could very well understand if it is rather hard to only colour the helmet and not the backpack, when the latter is directly connected to the helmet. Especially in the case of the 'Mace Windu version' when these lines have to be put on the 'chin line'. Although I understand that with the Clone Wars series dicontinued, there is a slim change the 'Mace Windu version' will come (spoiler alert: he's dead when Star Wars: Rebels' starts), but I could understand other versions could come due to this change in molds...
  17. Very happy with the minifigs I received yesterday. Thanks Mike! They will come to good use :-)
  18. *kloink* Just fell from my chair for this file. This is what I have been looking for since a few years! What a beauty; I'll have it printed & implemented next weekend. Someone give Henning & THS1138 their Star Wars badges; they truly deserved it ! :-)
  19. Indeed; they won't allow pictures to be taken at the stand.I think we can conclude that there will be a new mold for the body of droid 'chopper'. In the text it also states that (at least) the boxes (for Rebels) Star Wars sets will come in the so called 'rebels' packaging:
  20. +1 and a for trying!
  21. Could very well be these stormtroopers are the 'Rebels' variant, from the upcoming cartoon series. Those troopers have a somewhat different helmet design: REBELS: 'STANDARD':
  22. Both look fair; although the Phantom's wing look a bit 'bulky'...
  23. Well, to put it into perspective: Kenner / Hasbro have released well over 2500 different action figures, whereas LEGO is currently at about 600. I am really a fan of the more variation, the better. But then again, I have all sets ever since they started back in 1999, so I'd even be disgruntled if they did a re-release of Gasgano (2000) or Aldar Beedo (2001), favoring another minifig that hasn't been made yet... I'm also quite a fan of building MOC minifigs, so new non-minifig heads are always welcome ('human faces can be more easily made). There aren't that many Bith characters in the EU...
  24. Normally that vehicle goes into the back of the Ghost, which would explain the 'reasonable' price of the Ghost. Had this vehicle been part of the Ghost set, I guess the piece count & price would be higher... As you can see the vehicle was still called 'wolf' in the production phase, mostly due to Dave Filoni's fascination for these animals...
  25. I would l-o-v-e an archive; especially for older sets (10019, 7163) as in that period of time the sticker quality was really lousy, and LEGO still used STAMPs (Stickers Across Multiple Pieces)...
