  1. How I wish we had gone for him. Then I wouldn't have to redo the hair again and again...
  2. Thanks everyone. Would you like the bunny to run a bit faster compared to the wheel Bob? Because I have the same feeling. I have geared it so that it didn't go too fast on high speed, but seeing that it will run on speed 1 for most of its life, I'm considering swapping the red cogs between the wheel and the bunny.
  3. I have watched the video in the other thread (The PFx thread). It seems to work quite well, and I would probably opt for connecting the LED's directly to the brick, rather than using the additional board shown in the video. However. Looking at the kickstarter. It seems like they have to make an end sprint to end all end sprints in order to reach the goal. Do you know what their backup plan is if they don't reach the goal?
  4. This kind of brick (the basic one) would be ideal for all my tractor units: The two PF ports are for driving and steering while the 8 light ports can light up: - Headlights (+reverse and ambient lights) - Reverse lights - Side indicators (2 ports necessary) - High beams - warning lights (2-3 ports necessary) With 8 of these trucks currently built there is no reason not to back this project :)
  5. It is with a little delay that I can present our Easter GBC module. This GBC module is an evolution from this old small ring module: (Brickshelf gallery of the old module here: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=569534 ) The module is quite simple. The wheel spins. The anti-jamming mechanism kicks in when needed and there are two inboxes to help place it optimally in a layout. There is a compartment in the base to store fragile objects during transport and the XL motor can easily be replaced: You can also use an M or L motor instead, should you not have an XL motor. The flowers are tulips: A daisy: And a daffodil: The design started with the head of the bunny, where I tried to make it both compact and cute: Brickshelf gallery with more pictures (once public): http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=569534
  6. If I say "Famous Bulgarian person", then who is first on your mind? My entry is finished, but we are still working on my +1.
  7. LEGO Play with Numbers Set 5497 Edit. I'm wrong. It is LEGO DUPLO My First Number Train Building Set 10558
  8. Maico. Do you remember who made the 10x10x10 micro GBC module? I recall you had some of them in your collection, and it might be what OP is looking for.
  9. If you find that this mod has too much internal friction, then try to only have the bands on every second track piece instead of all of them. This helped me when I did the same mod back in the day.
  10. That is also what I expected. Plus. Using SNOT there would weaken the construction, which might not be fun at exhibitions. I also like the attention to details that few might think about. That chain link for the hood must have been a nightmare to make in chrome!
  11. Which OS and browser (and versions) are you using? Which extension do you have enabled?
  12. Good news! It turns out that I should just use fully charged batteries. The Dekotora runs perfectly fine, and I have added some outtakes to the end of the video:
  13. That's just beautiful. At a quick glance the coloring of the trailer makes it appear as if it's chrome as well. The only suggestion that I would make is to consider jumps of less than half a stud on the sides of the bonnet. However. This might eat up precious space for the engine if you choose to do make a complicated structure for this.
  14. I have had the tour so many times that last time I became the tour guide for my +1 in Legoland Billund! We will skip it this time and go for another spinning Ninjago ride instead :)
  15. Is this a common problem? I usually suggest to increase the axle rotational speed in order to reduce torque.
  16. It is soon Easter, so what would be more appropriate than building something for the season? This time I have tried to venture into the theme of BrickHeadz: The bunny is almost following the BrickHeadz standard. I took the liberty to place the eyes a stud higher, and let the belly drop a bit in the front. The egg is similarly squared to stay in the style of the theme. It is decorated by my girlfriend. Here is an additional photo with the tail should you want to build your own: Happy Easter :)
  17. Yes this is a very good idea. I'm still having a lot of problems with the technic parts and LDD - it is absolutely horrible at chosen the build order for instructions. There is a new program which helps making building instructions from LDD models, and I plan on looking into it. Meanwhile the rear end of the trailer has been updated with the complete rim of reflectors like often seen in real life: This is also the version that there are building instructions for:
  18. I'm glad to see a new 10x2x3 windscreen apparently replacing the old 10x3x3 one. I wonder if it will also come in smoke. The designer of the old UCS Snowspeeder didn't have any reference photos for the bottom. I wonder what has prompted the design of this one to be so different.
  19. How am I supposed to see that with my eyes closed!? Joke aside. If that offer still stands, then we would like to jump onto it - unless that increases the price for others, of course (that would not be fair).
  20. Thanks Cwetqo. We might end up picking that - it is still €10 off :)
  21. Oh. I didn't see that he had to cancel. She would like to take up the spot in his place, but might not at all be able to fill his shoes. I can see that Bonaparte was not on the Legoland discount ticket list, so I will try to get her a ticket from elsewhere.
  22. Should the unspeakable happen that someone has to cancel, then my girlfriend would like to fill in the spot. I have told her that registration is closed. This is only if it would be a convenience, then I would like to write her up on the "someone has cancelled - it would be nice if someone could go in their place so that the prices don't change"-kind of situation.
  23. Great. There should be plenty of time to play around with this.
  24. I will bring as many Sbrick and Power Functions driven trucks with me as possible. They are relatively child safe (I have building instructions in case they are destroyed) Remember to download the SBrick app in advance if you want to avoid roaming taxes.
  25. Nice challenge. I will see what I can do.
