  1. If I'm not mistaken, the toy safety lays required that a battery door had either two latches or be held by screws: that's why the NXT rechargeable battery, which uses a single latch and was made before those laws, had to be redesigned for the EV3. Since the C+ hub switched from latches to screws, maybe it's because the laws changed again to be more strict?
  2. Yes. https://www.newelementary.com/2021/07/lego-42129-technic-42128-designer-interview-reindl-tacchi.html
  3. To me, the stuff around a set in "lifestyle" photos is nothing more than a lorem ipsum to have something around the model. In those photos I only pay attention to the model itself, because that's what I get if I get the set.
  4. That's true, but do we know that's how this set's laid out?
  5. Maybe during a climb the weight shifts to the rear wheels and, without a central diff lock, all the power goes to the slipping front wheels?
  6. Just out of curiosity, and considering I'm European and therefore don't see this kind of trucks on the road: aren't the front grille slits supposed to be vertical? Also, regarding the fuel tanks, they seem to me built from wheel rims instead of beams.
  7. I also doubt, as there's already the 26913 with relative position encoding (like NXT/EV3 motors) but not absolute positioning (unlike most PUp linear and angular motors).
  8. And, once again, people were bashing this set left and right just by looking at a few blurry pics, only for their opinion to change when official details come out... come on guys, we should all know by now to reserve judgement until full info is known!
  9. Hmm, with that sillouette, I wonder which Ford model could it be? Perhaps a Model T...?
  10. Most likely only after the embargo date. I don't remember what it is (@Sariel might have mentioned it on Facebook), but I think it's around mid July.
  11. Indeed, graders is something LEGO never made as an A-model and would be a breath of fresh air amongst all the excavators and front-end loaders. Scrapers are also something missing from the A-model ranks.
  12. They're not totally unrelated to other LEGO: the shock absorbers they introduced were used at least once in "regular" Technic, in 8420.
  13. We still don't know what other new parts may come with it.
  14. Maybe the LEGO regional office for the catalogue's country decided to not sell those sets there. It has happened before: for example, the 8259 was never sold in Portuguese and Spanish shops.
  15. There have been in the past add-on kits for sets, such as the pneumatic towing crane for the 8466. Doing something similar (with maybe instructions for building alternative add-ons for other sets) for the Zetros could be a good business opportunity for TLG.
  16. 12 yards long, 2 lanes wide, 65 tons of American Pride! Canyonero! Canyonero!
  17. The 41685 introduces what appears to be a large Technic ring, with 6 pinholes 4 pinholes and 2 axleholes distributed around its edges. Brickset's image shows two of them in yellow, on the right: https://brickset.com/sets/41685-1/Magical-Funfair-Rollercoaster I wonder what uses they can have for Technic models.
  18. I'm not sure if that hub can use those motors without running Pybricks. Have you tried the standard Powered Up app?
  19. The last Technic Formula 1, the 42000, came out 8 years ago, so it wouldn't be unreasonable to expect a new one shortly.
  20. A 100€-set doesn't automatically imply no gearbox: The 42048, for example, has one.
