  1. While blue tyres look cool, I hope LEGO doesn't produce them: SPIKE Prime wheels look pretty only when new, and get dirty and ugly in an instant.
  2. Your phone needs to be compatible with a Google AR library: AR Core or something like that.
  3. I view it as a parts pack. And, in that respect, apart from the hard-to-reuse bright green elements, I actually like it.
  4. Chinese online stores sell pliers specifically for LEGO axles and pins, with rubber tips to avoid damaging the parts. I have one, and I was surprised at its effectiveness.
  5. Shall I ask my cats to also try opening the battery box? No sample size is too small for TLG's statistics!
  6. No problem, just buy custom chromed parts on BrickLink... oops, thanks a lot TLG.
  7. They could have used printed transparent parts, like they did with 42125.
  8. And I often feel sorry for them to see their hard (and often with restrictions) work being bashed so often and hard here. I hope the health plan at TLG includes rhinoceros skin grafts.
  9. Eurobricks doesn't observe the One Steve rule. I wouldn't be any surprised at all if more LEGO designers visited the forum, they're just not frequent posters as Milan (the designer, not the mod).
  10. The embargo has not only a date, but also an hour.
  11. Yes, the expression "right hand vs.left hand" often comes up in conversations about TLG management.
  12. And then people will complain that such a big set has so few functions.
  13. Someone jumped the gun two days early... Anyway, not gonna watch until the reviewers I follow, such as Sariel, RacingBrick or JANGBRiCKS publish their videos.
  14. Maybe to avoid cannibalising the Zetros? TLG did the same in 2019, with the 42100 being delayed in favour of the 42099.
  15. Yes, and that's why I value B-models, and especially B-models that have little in common with their A-model's subject matter. But I also like to get new parts, to see what new possibilities they bring.
  16. Wow, that's one complaint I never expected to see!
  17. So, you two decided to buy this set specifically because it disappeared from the LEGO site?
  18. Or they're still not done changing it from those preliminary pics.
  19. If I'm not mistaken, the toy safety lays required that a battery door had either two latches or be held by screws: that's why the NXT rechargeable battery, which uses a single latch and was made before those laws, had to be redesigned for the EV3. Since the C+ hub switched from latches to screws, maybe it's because the laws changed again to be more strict?
  20. Yes. https://www.newelementary.com/2021/07/lego-42129-technic-42128-designer-interview-reindl-tacchi.html
  21. To me, the stuff around a set in "lifestyle" photos is nothing more than a lorem ipsum to have something around the model. In those photos I only pay attention to the model itself, because that's what I get if I get the set.
  22. That's true, but do we know that's how this set's laid out?
