  1. My entry for the DK: Sand Worm Encounter
  2. My WZ 5 entry: As the Desert King's light cavalry patrol the barren desert, watching for enemy troops, they suddenly hear a rumbling beneath their feet... Suddenly, a giant sand worm erupts from beneath the ground in a churning mass of sand - the cavalry, their horses rearing in terror, raise their weapons, preparing for the worst. Fig-less shot: For now, I'm picking D2 as the next WZ if I win.
  3. Warzone 3: Killing Two Birds With One Stone
  4. My entry to Warzone 3. A pair of Ulandian Legionaries are struggling to hold a strategic bridge and roadway leading up to the Nestlands against a group of High Council soldiers. When several High Council soldiers are suddenly struck from behind with arrows, the Ulandians give up a cheer, thinking reinforcements have arrived. Their elation quickly turns to dismay as they realize the arrows came from the bows of the Desert King's mounted archers. The light cavalry quickly mows down the High Council's soldiers, and the Ulandians throw down their weapons, knowing they only have one chance at survival.
  5. My entry to warzone 4 - Lonely Mountain Rumble One of the clans of sand elves that make their home in Kaliphlin has allied with the Desert King, and one of their best warriors represents them in the Bella’Erezhi brawl. The fight spills over into the parts of Bella’Erezhi closet to the mountain, where ash and molten lava have buried the city in a grey blanket.
  6. Ah, nice, my dad had one of those!
  7. Hey Ska, quick question(s) - Is there a limit on the size of a guerrilla/counter attack? Also, when countering a guerrilla attack, do you have to counter the actual people/figures who carried out the attack, or can it be a counter against the general enemy side in that territory?
  8. Nice build and posing! I heartily approve of the butt-kicking of those conniving council-folks (even if the glorious Desert King will have to squash you too in the end)!
  9. Hail Sir Gillian! The mighty(est) guild of Avalonia gladly welcomes you to our fair land!
  10. Really nice build! The posing looks great, and the landscaping feels very lush, which is perfect for a Kaliphlinian jungle.
  11. Gosh, that's so beautiful SK! The wood housing on top of the wall looks amazing, and the landscaping is really giving the feeling of spring. I also really like that the wall looks a bit ruff, rather than polished with battlements - it gives the feel of an old wall/fortress that's been modified.
  12. Thanks LordDan! Thank you Mccoyed! Glad you like the roof! Cheers Basiliscus! I hope to have some more builds soon! Thanks Kai! Cheers Garmadon! I admit, the stone mixed with wood wall was strongly inspired by Edoras from LOTR...
  13. Great build man! Everything looks top notch.
  14. Very nice figure and posing! For the Desert King!!!
  15. Nice job man! One small thing I would advise is to maybe put tiles under the SNOT dark grey bricks, just to make it more smooth. Also, I give approval.
  16. Thanks man! Thanks mate! Thank you! Thanks Milo! I was trying to find a good way to create a circular well, and I remembered seeing someone used a similar technique a while back, so I sort of came up with this. Thanks a lot de Gothia! Thank you mate! Cheers Vlad! Thanks Gunman! This may be my favorite too. Thank you Gideon! I agree about the ground outside the wall, it was just not quite enough space to fit any of my dark green leaves. Looking back, I wish I'd made it a little farther back, so I could do some more landscaping. Thanks robuko! Cheers Maxim! I've got some more ideas for my city, so hopefully I can build them after the Kaliphlin challenge. Thank mate! Cheers man! Thank you! Thanks Goliath! Thanks man!
  17. Dinas Brynmor HSS REQ - Military (Gatehouse): Gates of Dinas Brynmor
  18. Dinas Brynmor is the capital city of Ferinwæld. Built upon a large hill, it has an ideal view of the surrounding land, and it's elevated position makes it highly defensible. Dinas Brynmor was once an old caer, but it's been expanded over many years to become a small city, and now is the home of many Ferinwældians. The wooden outer walls are mainly made of a solid, treated oak, making it largely fire-resistant, though the lower part of the wall is reinforced with stone. The front gates and guard house. View of one of Dinas Brynmor's many meeting halls. The keeper of the hall is bringing a travel-weary Gwawl Ceisiwr monk a drink, as this order is held in the highest regard by the people of Ferinwæld. Sir Brychan rides in with several of his guards, greeted by his advisor and bard, Heulwen. Some children are playing a game of 'tracker', a more physical version of hide and seek that's meant to teach tracking skills as well as wrestling. View with the gates closed. This is a build I've had in the works for a month or so, I just finally got around to photographing it. I'm hoping to start building up my city/province, and create a bit of culture and background for Ferinwæld, as I've kind of slacked in that area... I'm largely basing Ferinwæld around old welsh culture, but I'm also kind of incorporating a bit of norse influence in some of my buildings, since my lands border Mitgardia (I figured it would make sense to have a bit of overlap). Bonus: Dinas Brynmor is (ruffly) old welsh for "city of the great hill." C&C welcome, and thanks for looking!
  19. I'm gonna throw my lot in with the Desert King... for the sole reason that Avalonia will get keep Esterbroke.
  20. I agree with what ZC said, geometry works better than a picture for smaller windows, since you can't really do a whole lot of detail. Today I finished cleaning off my main lego table, which I had been procrastinating for a long time. It was literally completely covered with bricks and half-taken apart builds... I had set up a temporary other table to use, but that one's quickly becoming covered in bricks too... But at least my main building space is now clean.
  21. Cool build Mike! I like the trans-plates, you don't see those used very often. Nice use of the ship masts too!
  22. Awesome series Emma! I really like the look of the pit fighter, and the mountain man is hilariously perfect!
