  1. Awesome choice . Cant wait ti see it finished.
  2. Here is my first update or should I say last nights attempt. This shows 2 chute extensions, the front nose of the cab and front half of the chassis. Here is my moc of the bowl and the 2 chutes together and then just a couple of extra views of the bowl.
  3. Thank you. Thats helpful. I'm making a concrete truck for the [TS6] contest so being able to have the bowl turning all the time helps, just have to have a manual reverse switch. Cheers.
  4. I've created one half of the outside of the bowl with beams and currently figuring out the spiral fins on the inside and how to fill in the gaps. Will have a pics ready tomorrow of my progress so far. The bowl is 15 x 27 studs and the rear opening is 9 studs wide. Has 8 sections to make it round.
  5. Unfortunately no simply because I don't have that type of Lego so it will be just Technic panels and beams.
  6. G,day everyone. I've decided to enter this competition with a Technic concrete truck. All I have at the moment is a piece of paper saying build a truck. The functions will be: Servo motor for steering L motor for drive L motor for mixing bowl M motor for either a small actuator or pneumatics for the raising and lowering of the chute. Now for the wish list. Rear suspension will hopefully be Hendrickson bolster spring, twin steer so it will be an 8x4, based on the Kenworth K200 and model team size for the challenge to cram it all in there. All going well the bowl will work as to the real thing. As a guess proportion wise the truck will be 45 studs long, 17 wide and from 19 to 30 high with the bowl. Which should make the bowl 27 to 30 studs long and 17 wide. I used some beams connected together looking at a pic of the eight wheeler concrete truck I used to drive with Boral. It had a bowl capacity of 8.5 t but I think that might crush this little truck. Will make 2-3 removable chute extensions and possibly a fake 3 cylinder motor, opening doors and tilting cab. Its all in my head as I ramble on so better stop that and start doing before the functions get bigger then the truck.
  7. Thanks for the reply Roland. You hit the nail on the head as to what I want to do. Ill give your suggestions a try tonight and see how I go. Cheers Jono
  8. G'day. Was wondering if it was possible to do a 2d render of a moc using the programs from ldraw all in one installer package. I want to insertt renders of the moc at certain stages into the instructions Ill make using Lpub.
  9. Not sure if been asked but, Can the you via an app. switch on a motor through the sbrick and so that it runs until you switch it back off on the app. and not have to manually hold the power on?
  10. G'day. I bought this set for my son and had the same problem. My fix was turning the motor wheel a full turn while having the remote activated to move it, this got it to work and no problem since. You have probably done this but some things i would check; the power of the batteries and all the plugs are pushed down tight. Does the remote light up the IR receiver? Change the motor connection to the other side of the receiver. Do you have other IR receivers or Battery packs to try?. By pass the IR receiver and connect the motor directly to the battery pack to see if it will run, if it does it could be a faulty Ir receiver. Hopefully you have it working by the time you read this or someone with more xp will reply for you. Good luck.
  11. Can I reinvent from the ground up an old technic studded lego set to studless beams and power functions?, So from old school to new school. The set I'm thinking of is the Set 8439-1 Front End Loader, No more pneumatics but all actuators and rc. for 4 functions. Or does it have to be a completely new moc?.
  12. Congratulations to all who entered. It was a great contest and some well deserved winners. Thanks Jim for this.

  21. Thank you everyone for your comments. I'm working on the instructions for it and t how it works will makes sense and it uses the flex rod as a spring.I ran out of room inside it for geared landing gear. I will put them up after the contest finishes on this site if I can figure it out and also on my moc pages.
