  1. Well, it's not a watertight indication, but the parts to which Rebrickable adds the label 'Rare Color': 2x 75902pr0007 Black 1x 32532 DBG 6x 87926 LBG 2x 18646 LBG 2x 18654 LBG 6x 27263 LBG 2x 2431 trans-clear And the three sticker sheets, set 10188 (which is probably the most expensive part), set 7667 and set 75141. You can skip the stickers of course, but especially the stickersheet from set 10188 adds some nice details in the interior. The sticker sheet of set 75159 can also be used instead of the one from 10188. However, 10188's sheet is transparant while 75159's sheet is not. I believe this doesn't matter except for 2 stickers in the TIE fighter hangar bay, but don't qoute me on that. Aside from rare parts. There are a bunch of parts in big quantities. For example 445 1x2 plates in LBG, 191 cheese slopes in LBG, 141 2x2 corner tiles in LBG, 327 1x1 with clip in LBG etc. Thanks! If you're really going to build this thing in the next couple of weeks, you're probably the first one to use the instructions with real bricks. Please don't hesitate to send us any problems or errors in the instructions.
  2. I may be a bit biased, but I think this is a really great model. It might be a bit heavy on the number of parts (I probably can't build it myself either in the foreseeable future ), but if you have the funds and time to build it I think you won't regret a cent of it. Some examples of the instructions if anyone was wondering:
  3. Most often images are made using LDview. To make a good submission in this topic, you have to clearly specify which set you have created by adding (for example in bold) the set number and set name (and set theme usually). You can obtain that information from Brickset or Bricklink. Take a look at other submissions here to get some examples of what I mean Also, the white axle in your model is not correctly placed. It's slightly misaligned. I can highly recommend LDCad to avoid most of such problems. You also used the wrong slopes, as can be seen in the inventory of the set. It might look the same, but it isn't
  4. Looks really cool! The curvature is beautiful. If I remember correctly, we tried making instructions for an earlier version right? EDIT: yes, indeed. Was able to find the files. Well, I guess the attempt died in silence.
  5. There aren't new shaders implemented in Pascal. It doesn't quite work like that. Pascal has better support for newer graphics APIs through hardware and (mostly) software (Nvidia's drivers). I think nvidia changed something in their Pascal drivers which causes LDD to flip out. However, I don't know if the change in the drivers is good (in other words, it fixed something that did not work correctly before) and LDD should fix it because the behaviour of the driver has changed. Or if the driver now has a new bug which causes LDD to misbehave while LDD does its job just fine. I think it's the latter, but it could just as well be the first one. I'm not that knowledgeable to figure that out I did file a bug report at nvidia quite a while ago, but never heard anything about it.
  6. Well, you can blame LDD, but it's not clear if the problem is in LDD or at Nvidia...
  7. The paths part bin... I don't think I ever used that one, I believe you only need it if you want to make your own flexible part templates or something like that. Better ask @roland, I'm not sure about that. While I have used LDCad with a trackpad without problems, in my experience I find using a separate mouse is a lot easier. But I guess I can say that for basically any 3d application in combination with a trackpad. I don't believe there's a lot of changing keys, but maybe I just don't notice because I'm so used to it.
  8. The green and red balls are the bezier curve control handles (or whatever the official name is). When the string isn't curved (just a straight line) they indeed do nothing because there is no curve. If you move on the of the string up/down or left/righ and then drag the red or green ball, you'll see what they do. Inserting a control point can be done using the 'INS' (insert) button on your keyboard. The new point will be inserted after the currently (or last) selected control point (unless it's the last point, then it will be inserted before it I believe). For some more explanation, read the paragraph titled 'Pneumatic hoses' here or look at the (older) video here. LDCad is great in my opinion, but the learning curve can be a bit steep (especially when you start with flexible parts ). But as soon as you've got the hang of it, it's great and so much faster, easier and more precise than MLCad (for me at least). Maybe it would be a good idea to build a small Lego set in LDCad to get used to the interface?
  9. Or you could completely wipe the nvidia driver using this tool and then reinstall it again. Not sure if it would help anything, but..."niet geschoten is altijd mis"
  10. To be fair, Bricklink's own online buy tools have increased in functionality a lot lately and in my (little) experience work very well. Maybe not as great as something like Brickficiency was, but since it doesn't have to scrape everything and has direct access to the database it's very fast and seems to come up with quite reasonable results (the auto-buy feature that is). I quite like the functionality and its ease of use.
  11. That looks... weird. Haven't seen that in the (probably) thousand(s) of hours I used LDCad... What laptop/video card do you have?
  12. This program works better than LDD's own exporter I believe:
  13. I think it's reviewers academy.
  14. Doesn't work for me either in Chrome (with an adblocker turned either on or off). Viewing the results doesn't fully work either and after voting the poll just disappears completely. It seems the site has problems loading urls like these to show the poll: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?/forums/topic/152211-test-poll/&fetchPoll=1 http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?/forums/topic/152211-test-poll/&fetchPoll=1&_poll=results Could be that there's also such a url for submitting a poll result that isn't loaded correctly. But I'm just thinking out loud here, I don't know how that poll works underwater. Also, the Technic theme is completely gone here, I suppose that's for testing purposes right?
  15. Well, 1 BWE and you got possibly more that. I think I doubled or tripled my number of frames with that set
  16. I'm a big fan (and user) of the Allit Varioplus Basic series of drawers. However, the shop I used to buy them at is closed. One day it just vanished from the internet. It's a shame really. They had great prices, almost the whole Allit catalogue in stock and shipped to the Netherlands. Now I can't really find a good source for these things anymore for a good price aside from the Hornbach in Germany. Luckily I have pretty much enough now (or at least, I don't have room for more).
  17. Yes, certainly. When I have something to share I'll definitely post it here
  18. Oh darn it. I looked at the inventories on Rebrickable and the Superman one is currently the only one not inventoried (well, technically the Joker/Batman one not either, but I submitted the inventory for that one myself). I saw a few exclusive colors (like @julesvincent also mentioned), but they looked pretty insignificant and easily replaceable with something else. That black unikitty tail though is pretty specific and quite important for the looks of Superman. Bummer. I almost can't imagine they made those parts (and especially that tail) only for the SDCC sets. Maybe we'll see them in upcoming Brickheadz?
  19. Yeah, I expected scans somewhere too, but after extensive googling, I had to came to the conclusion nobody made any scans. Many thanks!
  20. I'll post it here if I have anything to share. If I have something usable, I'm certainly not keeping it to myself Thanks Oky! I'm pretty sure that will be sufficient to make some digital versions. Maybe a bit off-topic, but do the instructions have a parts list in the back? If so, could you post some images of those too? That way I can save the element-ids for the printed parts in the Rebrickable database; makes it just a bit more complete
  21. For me personally, that's the biggest con of stud.io. Not sure why exactly, something about the way they operate lately and the way they handle the stud.io stuff. Not that I don't trust Bricklink, certainly not, I use Bricklink a lot. But aside from that, it's an interesting editor with a lot of functionality. Although I haven't used it very much so far.
  22. As the title says, I'm looking for someone who has the exclusive SDCC BrickHeadz. And I don't mean stored away MISB to sell at some point, but I mean actually built (for what they are meant). Why? Well, I'm a collector of the Brickheadz series, but no-way I'm going to spent thousand(s) of dollars to get all these exclusive brickheadz. On a sidenote, I think it's a stupid decision from Lego to make so many SDCC exclusive Brickheadz. Brickheadz is a really collectible-oriented theme and a few exclusive ones is not a problem, but now there are already as much exclusives as there are standard Brickheadz Anyway, back on topic. As I said, buying the original ones is not an option for me. So, I'd like to Bricklink the parts. And for the printed pieces, I want to try to make some custom stickers. And here's where I need the help of someone with the set(s). Someone at the LDraw forums has been making vector images of the normal Brickheadz prints. And he's fine with making some vector copies of the SDCC prints too, he just needs some scans or photo's of the part. So, if you have these sets or if you know someone with the sets, please let me know Thanks! Btw, I wasn't sure if I had to post this in Licensed or in Special Themes
  23. Well, it's raining now (and rain has been forecast for the next 2 weeks) so as far as the weather goes; it seems to cooperate just fine for now
  24. Huh, that is really weird. Do you use LDView as a renderer? LPub3D (well, one of the more recent versions) has made some very significant speed improvements when using LDView as a renderer. Make sure you have checked 'Use multiple files single call rendering' in Preferences -> Rendering -> LDView. Anyway, about your parse error. I haven't tested it, but it could be LPub does't like the whitespace in the name. Try changing the submodel name (and the PLI BEGIN line) to something like driver_rear.ldr and see if it works
  25. Do you use LPub4 or LPub3D? Because if not, I'd recommend you try that one first; LPub3D is a lot better and (especially) a lot faster. Also, if you could paste the bit of code that you (try to) use, that would make it easier for people to help you
