  1. I'll make a nice pdf of it with a cover and than I'll upload it on Rebrickable. I'll finish it this week. I think that will be it, although it seems I got into another LDraw build at Madoca's Truck Thanks everyone!
  2. Well, that went kind of out of control So, I've made a quick sheet to keep everything organized. It's just a first version. You can see it here. Take a good look at the notes (and add some if you want), and as the sheet says, update the sheet according to your progress. Everyone has edit rights in the sheet. Please, try to keep this organized and don't start building random things, without at least saying here that you're working on something. This model has over 4000 pieces. I know this may sound a bit unkind, but I think it's better for everyone if we keep the amount of people working on this to a small amount. We don't need like 20 people all doing this, since that won't work and will only create a mess.
  3. Well, I think there won't be any problems regarding destroying things, unless you putt a lot of stress on the motors (and the parts) or the part was already cracked If you want to read more about all kinds of Lego motors, I can recommend this webpage Be warned; it can get quite... technical
  4. Well, I don't think there won't be any problems that are only related to the fact that you use studded Technic. That's the beauty of Lego, it still fits, even after 10 or 20 years Only disadvantage I can think of at the moment, is the fact that the old studded Technic has an even number of studs, but the new Technic is built around an uneven number of holes. So, the m and the xl motor are both 3 and 5 holes wide, which makes it a little more difficult to nicely center them in a studded model. But on the other hand, the old Technic also has an uneven number of holes, so it depends on if you want it centered according to the studs or to the holes. But you can still use them very well. I hope I'm clear enough, that explanation is kind of vague
  5. It isn't LDD, it's LDraw. This was just a quick test. It are very basic instructions, without any rotation-steps, arrows, sub-models or anything else. Note that I don't know if I'll finish the instructions (it's alot of work), but I'll definitly make the digital file with or without steps. And even if I would make some instructions, it would take quite some time....
  6. Well, I "hope" it won't get that far, since this model has over 4000 pieces. It would be a lot of work. Although, some cad instructions would be nice indeed.
  7. My hands itch to make an LDraw file of it, so Blakbird can make a nice render Maybe I'll make an LDraw file of it next weeks, who knows... Anyway, maybe I'm also going to build the model in real life. It looks like I have almost all the parts, except the extension wires and the ridicoulus amount of panels.
  8. Where can we find the building instructions? As always, you've made a nice model. Great job on the model Oh, and welcome to EuroBricks
  9. Here are some small Designer Set sets (an older version of Creator). I have a few more small ones on my PC, ready to be posted. I hope I can make some of the bigger sets somewhere in the next weeks. I quite like them 4903 - Lion - Designer Set/Creator No errors. Download here 4904 - Elephant - Designer Set/Creator No errors. Download here 4905 - Giraffe - Designer Set/Creator No errors. Download here 7910 - Robot - Designer Set/Creator No errors. Download here 7911 - Tugboat - Designer Set/Creator No errors. 10. That looks very nice. Is it done manually, or did a program randomly choose some bricks to place imperfect? The second option would be the best if you create this kind of render with a big model to create more realistic imperfection.
  11. Another index update! A lot of classic space this time. Thanks for all your submissions, support and interest everyone! 12. That are nice models. Nice looks and nice functions. And very original. Good job on those!
  13. That sounds (and looks) like a very nice moc. I hope you will be able to finish it (not to question your building skills, but building on this size has its disadvantages ). I'll keep an eye on this topic to see the progress
  14. Well, if everything goes according to plan, there should be a simple pdf file at the end
  15. I think he means the LDraw parts, since this is the digital Lego subforum Here are some links: 14149 41897 86652, required sub-part The first 2 parts are already certified, the third one isn't. If you can't find a part, make sure you have the newest official parts update and you can also download the complete unofficial parts pack. You can also download seperate parts here.
  16. Nice models. They look clean and are easily recognizable. The forklift seems a bit small though. Nevertheless, it are nice models. Good job!
  17. I really wonder why everyone immediately starts to think about a possible relationship. Personal needs? It can also be fun just to know that you're not the only one that likes Lego.
  18. Rebrickable does not only have pdf files, instructions can be shared as pdf files, but also as lxf files, LDraw files, and more.
  19. Well, they don't develop the mold until it's 100% certain that the part will be used in a set. Until that moment, they use prototypes, cad models, DIY parts, 3D printed pieces etc. That doesn't cost a lot.
  20. Well, if they wouldn't make any exclusive parts, there wouldn't be any reason for someone who already has a lot of Technic to buy the set. He could just build it using his currect collection. But, when there's a exclusive or rare part, he needs to buy the set (or pay high prices at Bricklink), so TLG will sell more. And of course, like Jim says, often parts aren't needed in other sets. For example the blades in last year's Helicopter. They are almost only useful in..... a helicopter
  21. That is also what Jovel is saying in his post...
  22. Yea, that half bush solution also sounds nice. The rubber bands at the side of the table have to be placed during building. I only realized that when I was finished, so I had to break it down a bit to add the rubber bands. Well, you even haven't seen it
  23. What about adding a picture like this? The rubber bands on the sides of the table are very easy, just a very small rubber band over the 2 bushes. I can make a picture of it, if you want. The rubber band holding the pen is a lot more difficult. In fact, I haven't used any rubber bands to hold the pen. I tried, but I failed and in the end, I opted for some tape, because I wanted to test it. It looks very ugly though, and rubber bands are probably better, because they put some tension on the the pen to make it vribrate less. Thanks for all your work freakwave!
