  1. Those are really cool sets, congrats! Today I bought Market Street at the Legoshop in Alkmaar Holland, couldn't resist anymore... *sweet* I'll have fun this weekend!
  2. What a great idea that fits perfectly! It seems that piece has just become a tiny little bit less useless.... :-D
  3. I won! Thanks to all the voters, this really was a fun competition, congratulations too the other winners too. It was nice having three categories, that means three winners. All contestants had great entries and it was a tough decision to make. Until the next one! *y*
  4. Same here. Same here!
  5. At Legoworld Zwolle I bought lots and lots of pieces, a couple of bricklink sellers where present with their entire shop, selling all sorts of pieces. I bought some horsesaddles, chrome pieces, printed tiles, ice-cream popsicles etc. Great! Furthermore I bought this little car, complete with badly punchholed instructions. I always have to buy at least one small car at Legoworld... Not the greatest fire-engine in the world, I must admit... but a nice addition to my city.
  6. Just thick stickers there, I can confirm this because today I went to Legoworld and saw it with my own eyes. (what a great set, and such a big box....) I took a picture of the front of the cinema (can't upload them because I do not have a memorycard-reader here :-( ) and it clearly shows one row of bricks on top of each other. No roadsigns sticking out there.
  7. Thanks, great pics!
  8. Of course I am going to Zwolle this year, I haven't missed an edition so far since the event started out in 2001. I'll be there on saturday as an observer (and I hop to buy some nice things as well). I can't wait..... Oh no.... one more day of writing scientific papers to go.... Good choice!
  9. Thanks for those quality pics! The details are stunning: cardoors, the use of that round window in the gasstation *wub* *wub* I am buying this set!
  10. Wow... I post this, turn my back and suddenly there are three pages full of comments.... 8-
  11. I don't know if this has been posted here, close if it has, but I found a new picture of the townplan set 10184 at the site of De Bouwsteen: EDIT by Hinckley: just added some more pics *sweet* *y* Thanks to Brickshelf postings and thanks to Sinner who found them on the BrickJournal site...
  12. I would like a Dutch theme too (of course!) Maybe some golden age/colonial housing and a port with cranes... Normal buildings to make a historical city. Merchant ships will also be on my to buy list when Lego releases any. (or is that a too optimistical thought? :-P )
  13. Here ya go maties! Not my entire collection, just the vessels. (An old picture of my fleet, in the mean time I have aquired the 6280 and 6289 as well.... but still a pretty sight) (Click to enlarge)
  14. Wow! I am getting quite some votes, thanks :-$ In the engine and ladder category I voted for SpartanML because I like the level of detail and the balanced choice of color in both machines. I know how hard it is to make a good looking American firetruck... Good job! In the ARFF category I voted for LasseD, perfection all the way...! :-)
  15. Fun thread! I voted for governor Broadside, being the most exclusive minifig of all participants, he comes in just two sets... Why does this make him a great leader? Don't know.... *wacko*
  16. In the contest thread I already said how much I like this machine (very much!) but the more I look at it the greater it becomes. Never used the airtank as a watertank before, isn't it difficult to fill it with water? And to get all of the water out again before using it with pneumatics again? The suspension in the back is brilliant, making something look that good in such a limited amount of space requires real talent in building. As said before: it has my vote! *wub*
  17. Welcome DerStein! Good to welcome another AFOL, this time form Germany. I remember staying on the campsite in Oldenburg some years ago, nice city! Enjoy your stay here. :-)
  18. Yeah! That'll teach him! ;-)
  19. You should be proud of having any title at all! Just look at mine :-( :'-( X-O
  20. Hahahaha! It doesn't look like this thing poses a real threat to the rebels! :-D :-P It's back to the instructionbooklet for this builder, I think. Or does it really move so crippled? Nice find! X-D
  21. No, things are much more expensive around here! :-D
  22. Thanks Legomilk!! I love the new Postal service sets and the big lorry (what a great forklift!) *wub*
  23. That thing is HUGE! Only now I realise the true dimensions of this monster! I have the oldest Millennium Falcon (in the bottom right corner of the last photograph) and at the time I thought it was a really big set, and it still is.... Thanks for these comparing pictures.
  24. ^ Fantastic song! The Beatles - Girl *wub*
  25. Today I bought the (in my opinion) most beautiful Lego railwaystation in human history, 4554 Metro Station Second hand, with instruction and all shiny pieces for 62 euro's Furthermore I went to the Legostore in Alkmaar and bought 9 of these platform pieces for 2 euro's a piece and one brown canoe. :-)
