Custom Cow, Pig and Sheep figures review
simonwillems replied to Hinckley's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Thanks for all those pictures. What a lovely idea, making farm animals to fit our lego needs. I might buy a couple of cows from Brickforge real soon. *wub* -
The "Broken Spoke" Gold Mine: A Wild West MOC
simonwillems replied to SirNadroj's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Why am I looking at this thread that late? This is brilliant, the ultimate Wild West feeling! Looking at your MOC, and other beautiful Western MOC's by other people I often realise that The Lego Group could have done so much more with the theme: saloon, houses etc. Glad to have people like yourself around to keep the dream alive. I, for a change, like the cactus. It's big and chunky just like in real life (I have never seen such a cactus in real life before living in Holland... but still). Congratulations with a wonderful Wild West MOC. *y* -
Kan ook, als ik er de tijd voor heb loont het de moeite! :-)

Thanks for posting this. Only problem now is finding a Top1Toys store in the facinity, the Amsterdam-one closed down a week ago... :-(

Ah, yes, that magic feeling. I just finished building my 8421 and experienced it once again. Thanks for the review of this new set! I am not sure wether it appeals to me, it looks good, like a real combined harvester and it has many many parts (over a thousand). The colorscheme looks a bit strange, but I think it fits the model, after all harvesters come in weird colors in real life as well. Lego never made a combined harvester before (a part from the second model of the 8862, but that doesn't count...) and I think they did a good job. :-)

2008 Exclusives turn up on "Replacement parts" page
simonwillems replied to sam89's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Thank you so much for saving those! *y* It looks like in the townplan there will definitely be some sort of garage with rollerdoors, and a carwash. And a car with real good-old-fashioned doors! The green grocer includes a harpoon rifle.... Probably some cleverly thought out construction. Can't wait! -
Ouch!! That set really, really sucks! :-X No problem therefor if you refrain from reviewing...

Doesn't make any kind of sense, but cheerful, cheerful... Thanks! -
Quite an impressive squadcar Copmike! Today I studied for my re-sit of my Laws test at university tomorrow.... No more holiday for me :-( Oh, yes, and I brought my bicycle to the repairshop after the chain had gone because I did not had the right tools to complete the reparation myself. And no time too... because of.. you know.. But at least the weather was great!

[REVIEW] 8275 Bulldozer
simonwillems replied to Ickelpete's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Check out this site, an internetshop where they offer the Bulldozer for "just" 135 euro's, that'll save you some money, especially when you're picking it up yourself in Heesch (Oss) for instance. That is what I will do for sure. OV-studentenkaart on! -

Nooo Hinckley39 has multiplied!! Now there are two people going around booing everyone... It's a nest! :-( :-D Just kidding, welcome to our forum Jocko, fellow aquarian. I am sure you will have some great fun here. :-)

I voted for Uniquebuilder, and it almost made the difference deciding who's in the lead...! Close call this contest, but all the entries look great, I just had to pick one so I thought it might as well be the best ;-)

What a great eye for detail you have! The hingebricks used for decoration in the facade, the little lights on the tables, the castle door in the toilet.... fantastic. *wub* And an almost studless build, you sure have a lot of tiles! Lego should release this one, I'll buy it for sure. *y*

Welcome fellow Amsterdam inhabitant! We all saw your beautiful VOC-ship Denise in the past, it still is absolutely great! *wub* I am sure you will enjoy your time here. Simon Willems, Wittenburg. -
Looks good, quite a big box, I wonder what box is next to it, on the right side in the picture?

Blue and Red soldiers, Black Tricorns etc. wanted
simonwillems replied to Captain Charles F. Harlowe's topic in LEGO Pirates
Aren't we all.... Bricklink can be the answer. -
Thanks for the review of this model. It looks nice, quite tall though. The second model looks even better in my opinion being lower than the original model. The color scheme looks pretty and I like that it has lots of lights making it a robust looking Off Roader. I wouldn't buy this one but it's nice to see it's around for people who will.

Model Team: Ferris Wheel
simonwillems replied to Lasse D's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
This is the best funfair/funpark ride I have ever seen! Beautiful! *y* *y* All those details are just right, I really like the way you made the turning mechanism with that big chain and all the gears... Wow. I too tried to make a big Ferriswheel once, using only plates and it worked out... not that great: I couldn't find a decent way of attaching the wheel to the stand and moreover I had not enough bricks back then to make more than three buckets... You show however that it's possible to construct such a ride. *wub* -
