Let's keep hoping and wishing..... I would really like to see some separately sold wagons like the beautiful ones from the early nineties with the yellow tractor on top or the octan wagon with the two combustions. But the disappearing of some kind of sets do not have to mean that there will be new ones soon to follow: the monorail train also disappeared long ago. :-) Edit: @ Highlandcattle: That is the best signature ever!!

Welcome to Eurobricks! What a great model, only on closer inspection one can see that it's microscale. Very inventive! *y*

REFERENCE Dusting Lego displays and layouts
simonwillems replied to SirNadroj's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I use a soft paintbrush myself, gets every dust out of every corner of the model, just don't brush the transparant pieces like windshields and such. Dust on!.... ehr.. off I mean..! -

[REVIEW] 8275 Bulldozer
simonwillems replied to Ickelpete's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Thanks for the review! This looks like a great set, and with four motors, two receivers and a remote control I wouldn't say it is overpriced. It is still a lot of money though..... If my scholarship permits it I will seriously consider buying this set. -
Hello mr Bernddasbrot (Bernd the bread)! Welcome to the Eurobricks community, which themes do you collect/like the most? Enjoy your time here. :-)

Nice review, thanks. I'm not sure whether I like the doors of the cave, they leave gaps when closed, someone should have put some tiles on them.... The snowspeeder looks subtile, and I like the winch on the back, although I prefer the first 1999 model I posses myself. I didn't see this set today at TRU Amsterdam, they only had the new Sith Infiltrator for 39,99 euro.

Thank you, as for the building of those kind of cars: just practice, practice, practice like me. I tried lots of different models time after time and I took them all apart again after seeing that they were not going to look right. The chrome parts are hard to come by, very expensive on BL. The car on the cover of the Ultimate Lego book was quite hard to do from that single picture, I spend hours looking at the photograph finding out what pieces were used in what way: bucket handles for the front bumper for instance, those professional builders are ingenious! Only recently, I found a brickshelf folder that also shows the backside of the car, here it is, it looks like someone just abducted the model from one of the Legoland parks. :-)

Great photo's, Mr Tiber! I like those cars, actually the car that is in my avatar is the one on the left (in both photo's) you mistook for a Cadillac.... It is on the cover of the Ultimate Legobook and I recreated it from there. I made the blue one as well, but in red. You owned it? In what matter of speaking?

Lego Technic Bulldozer & Technic Truck
simonwillems replied to paul_delahaye's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
Thanks for the pictures you posted about this set. I have one question though: This set includes four motors and only two receivers: so are those linked together or does it mean that one can only control the two motors that power the vehicle itself remotely, while the other two have to be switched on and off at the dozer itself? -
Nice find! And a lot better than the black towel with some bricks on it preceeding this one. I like your (new?) signature by the way! *y*

The person below the person above me is not surprised to see that the person above him made it to the rank of Knight after so many posts in this topic. ;-)

Whheeee!!!! A lego-builder from Sweden!
simonwillems replied to Hazel_Wolf's topic in Hello! My name is...
Hello Hazel Wolf, and welcome to Eurobricks, the place to be for Lego enthousiasts! How nice to have a technic fan, like Holodoc pointed out. I have made some things in the past using technic including a large towercrane and several vehicles and I like your models very much. Enjoy your time here and feel free to post some more great technic models. :-) -
The person above me confuses the person below that same person.... *wacko*

The person above me probably doesn't get a lot of mail because the mailman has trouble finding the right address.... :-)

My vote goes to Shary's creation, great fun! All entries are very nice by the way, good work everybody *y*

The person above me checked if I had bought a trainticket today and smiled at me when he saw I indeed had. :-)

Speaking of good deals, it looks like you did some research before buying, I have to check out that little store in Deurne sometime. No heavy rain on my head this holiday, Most of the water fell in the north of the country and my tent only flooded once.... *wacko*

On my cycletrip through Belgium, France, The United Kingdom and The Netherlands I found some nice Legosets and pieces. I bought the 6518 Baja Buggy and the Trees and fences 6319, both MISB in a store in Ieper, Belgium, 3 euro a piece. Of course I visited Legoland Windsor (why would one go to the UK for otherwise?) and there they had some final sales concerning the 1x1 pieces used for the mosaic sets in the past. I bought 10 packs of OLD grey 1x1 pieces, 900 pieces alltogether for 4,50 euro. A good deal if you ask me.

Welcome Adrien, to our beloved forum Eurobricks! I recently made a cycletrip including parts of your beautiful country and I found some nice Lego in Ieper (Ypres). Is Lord Beckett somebody from a certain movie, or is it just a name derived from your surname? Enjoy it here! :-)

I think you did a really good job to build your own pirateship with no typical pirate-elements, some of us seem to forget how life and MOC'ing was like without those pieces. Those minifigures do the pirate them justice I think, and you made the right choice including them in your ship. I also like the design of the small palmtree on your island. Keep going, the pirateseries is a great theme and I don't think minifigs, like the one in your avatar, are hard to get (that pirate captain came in almost every pirateset so it is not that expensive on BL ;-) ) *y*

My vote goes to....: The Netherlands! :-P

I won't be able to vote since I will be on holiday during the election :-( But hey... I'll collect my prize when I return home! :-P

skeleton design discussion (new and old)...
simonwillems replied to Brick Miner's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
I voted for the classic! Why do skeletons need to hold things, they are dead people or aren't they? Dead.... *skull*
