  1. I was actually joking... but I do know of birds that can imitate some sounds, a parrot for instance. I don't quite understand why someone would need a brick that makes motorcycle-sounds, part of the fun when playing with a set like this one, for children, is to make some noizes theirselves, I think. But hey: who am I? I promiss you, when this set is on sale somewhere I'll buy it!
  2. Man, it's got to be tough to obtain some Legosets out there, the resources being so limited. Not really stimulating for a hobby... Well, at least there's a place where Lego can be discussed without limits and it seems you just ran into it, welcome here! :-)
  3. Don't you guys get it: INDIANA Jones, of course it's only available there!... duh.. :-| X-D Seriously now, great set, I'll buy it as soon it hits the stores out here. :-)
  4. What a brilliant bird!! *y* Did you know that there are indeed some birds existing in this world that make motorcycle noizes? This looks like a fun set, I however, do not really like motorcycles and buying this set just to make a tropical bird.... well maybe, maybe I'll buy it for that maybe... :-D
  5. One of your wishes has been fulfilled a long time ago, behold: Not exactly a Monet or Rembrandt, but hey it's a start...! :-D I also would love to see that turkey again, for the amount of money they are sold on bricklink right now you'd be better off buying a real one....
  6. told you.... :-D
  7. Earlier on in this 200+ posts topic (I don't blame you for not reading them all ;-) ) the price was mentioned and stated at 150 euros, not exactly a bargain but probably worth it.
  8. ...not just anybody, help, you know I need someone hehehelp! When I was younger so much younger than today ..... *sing* :-D Sorry, I'm not much of an Paradisa expert... As for the Beatles though... X-D
  9. When building a city one needs large amounts of bricks, roofpieces, windows and doors. With those basic ingredients the possibilities are endless. As a town collector I have been collecting city/town sets all my life and have pretty much every little car, plane, boat from 1985-1996 (the period Lego made some really good townsets). You can make a city any way you want it, even with few buildings but lots of cars and pedestrians on roadplates you'll have a city feeling. Just make it lively. Space is always a problem: in my current city I tried to make a real compact looking design, fitting on just 1x2 metres with a train, mainstreet, industrial area, tall buildings and tunnels. It worked out pretty well, so I have to second PaulC in saying that small is beautiful (quite a big city by the way, PaulC very nice!)
  10. What thing? MMOG? Game? I'm confused, don't know what you're talking about... *wacko* :'-(
  11. Thanks for all the nice remarks. The night scene really was a first experiment, I'm still improving the technique.... I'll try to photograph some moving trains with lights on, last time I tried I ended up with two long stripes of light going through a bend.... I guess the trains move faster than my shutter in the dark :-)
  12. This really is a great looking firestation Zeki! Those castledoors actually look better than those roller-door-things, it gives your station a classic old-style look. You have reminded me to finally order some of those castledoors, they can be used in many occasions. If there was a competiton about firestations right now I am sure you'd have a big chance winning it, I'll vote for this station! *y*
  13. Welcome fellow pneumatic enthousiast! I am sure you'll ebjoy your time around this board. Any other favorite themes beside pneumatics (if that can be considered a theme...)? And where are you from? :-)
  14. Congratulations! Quite an investment.
  15. When I first looked at the links provided it was just a US discount, but now it seems that Europe is getting involved as well!! I will very, very, very seriously consider buying the Hobby Train set.... :'-)
  16. Thanks for the review *vader* ! Nice set, though I am one of few who does not really like the new face of Anakin (nice hair!) but the face.... I don't think it will fit the other minifigures of the serie. Are those two yellow 1x12 (!) pieces I see used as a 'chassis' ?? Or did I miscount them?
  17. I ordered set 1817 'Seaplane with hut and boat' off bricklink. Why is this set suddenly so cheap to get, especially at Belgian sellers stores? Don't mind however, paying 16 dollars for an MISB set from 1996... Now all I have to do is pay and then wait for it to arrive in the post.
  18. Hello and welcome to Eurobricks! I like your personal photo in your signature! You are not the only one fancying that new townplan 10184 set.... Enjoy your stay here. :-)
  19. Not sure if this was a licensed set, but is a Shell one so probably: Even if there's no license involved, it's still a great set. Pity I lost all stickers :-(
  20. A very clever design, I had to look closely for a while to figure out how you made the truck bed, but now I see: doorrails and jumperbricks. Good use of those binoculars up front too, all in all a design very well thought through! *y*
  21. This made me laugh! :-D What a great idea, placing this monstrous creature in such a cosy setting. I love the clothing and the way you made the old bed using those minifigs heads in brown. So quiet and peaceful... X-D
  22. I can not recognize the only civilian vehicle in this picture on the left side. Some yellow van? New set? A 2009 set (available next week :-D )?
  23. Nice work! This town of yours looks very spacious with a good balance of build-up areas and rural landscape. If only I had that many space for a layout... I'd like to see some close up pictures of that wonderful tall crane in the background, do you have any? any particular reason why you called your town Revelstoke?
  24. I found a very special set yesterday, that was never available in this country, at a Legoshop in Assen (The Netherlands). 1721 MISB for 49,95 euro, I am so happy! One crazy seller at Bricklink has it listed for a thousand dollars.... 8-
  25. I wish that one day I can build trains that are just as beautiful as yours..... 8-
