LEGO Group in Deal With Volkswagen
simonwillems replied to legomilk's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Thanks for those pics Legomilk and pedroagnelo! I love this car *wub* *wub* The spare wheel in the boot/trunk, the gas/breaking panels, the little engine..... Wow, I hope this is the definitive version and not something preliminary. Only the steering wheel could have been better. *wub* -
Thanks for the review, this looks like a nice set to have multiple copies of... I think that you may have mistyped the setnumber, as I was expecting this cute car when I read the title (I wondered how you could see a cementmixer in this set...) :-P
-
It's on ebay already! Link here, some guy from Germany is selling three copies for euro 189,99 each. Expensive...
-
I am laughing!! Why on earth did you buy that? Nice chrome parts of course, but still...? I just remembered a nice axe, two actually, this Fabuland set has both
-
I own this set and had lots of fun with it when it first came out, I liked the number of blue seats in this set (4) and the furniture below decks. The lead boatweight and fishingrod where nice as well, too bad I lost the stickers and the once so shiny white hull has yellowed.... :-( Thanks for this review!

Hey, great idea building something for those Technic figures! I did some research and came up with the following: There is at least one tool I know of which was used in this Technicset (and some Fabuland ones I think) it is this one: Any tool can be configured to the hands of a Technic minifigure, using this pin, just slid it over the end of your utensil and there you go. Fabuland had a nice boat, this one, in red and yellow, but it is flat underneath (just like the boathulls from the late eighties) and cannot be attached to anything. This one is also nice, it comes in brown, pink and some other colours and is more a straightforward copy of the old pirate rowboat, but enlarged. I can not remember if this one can be attached to anything... but it looks great and can be equipped with a mast and sail using the fixed hinge. It was used in Adventurers set 5986 and some Belville sets (that accounts for the pink version ;-) ) Good luck!

Hahaha! That really made me laugh, thanks! :-D :-P X-D

Very nice hospital! It reminds me of one of the hospitals in Amsterdam, with the underpass and the helicopter above. *y*

Great find, I like it, especially the guy with the black helmet on the right getting squashed between those two lumps of ice. :-D

After almost one year sorting bricks...
simonwillems replied to Bonaparte's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Good job, I know how much time it costs to sort everything. It took me quite some months to sort every piece (exept the basic bricks) I have into 249 small drawers.... -
Thanks for that! I downloaded this song some time ago and I love it, it seems that I do not have the full version though.... I'm listening right now to Don McLean - Vincent *wub*

And some more 9 volt lights (even a train-one!) voor 8 euros total off Ebay, which is not that much... *sweet*

You couldn't paint your way out of a paper bag!

So....? X-O -
So it took three grown EB members to come up with...... a small snowmobile..... :-/ :-D Just joking, it's brilliant! Using that trike piece, attaching ski's to the axles, the front, the proportions, just great! No snow here, haven't had a proper white country for years :-(

I just bought this interesting lot off Ebay, I'll lighten my town some more... Lights on! :-)

Lego's Catapult Obsession Takes a Very Dark Turn...

Thanks for providing a good laugh! :-D :-D :-P -
I would change the torso if I were you, use for example this one: Those are my cents... :-)
-
Well, he appears as well in this set, not the place one would expect a random sailor (walking the plank, but still....) *sweet*

You should have been born in Europe: all our cannons shoot including Western ones... :-)
-
Indeed, the other could take over command: commanding the only soldier.... :-P I never understood why there's a pirate in this set, a second soldier would have made much more sense. I own both ships and they both have their charmes, the functioning rudder being a nice feature of the Imperial Flagship. However I voted for the Caribbean Clipper, its bigger, can fit more cannons (without major reconfiguration) and looks better from the rear. The Imperial Flagship can more easily be modified, making it a much longer and more powerful vessel, I have not yet tried that with the Caribbean Clipper.... Some day I will.

Today I bought the Hobby Train set off Shop at Home, it has been backordered for appr. 14 days and the chap on the other end of the telephoneline was kind enough to tell me that there were at least a thousand (!) Hobby Trains in back order... And the sign 'backorder' appeared only two days ago... I think Lego is doing some great business. 14 days, plus 7 workingdays of shipping.... I'll be lucky to get the set before Christmas :-/ At least one person here misinterpreted the title and purpose of this thread :-| :-D

Review: 7620 Indiana Jones - Motorcycle Chase
simonwillems replied to Hinckley's topic in LEGO Licensed
Well, would you be smiling if you had just found out that your carrot caught fire? Would you? :-D -
A few moments ago I used the 'Buy it now' Ebay-option to buy this magnificient set: The 735 set twice in one auction, build in two different models! The original set contained the pieces for building just one model at the time. (Original photo) With original instructions, but without box. All this for 37 euros (still waiting for the shippingcosts).
