  1. Just for the record: is it Captain flint lock or Captian flint lock? You just wrote captain, but your username says captian... (to compensate the smilie-avalanche I will refrain from using them in this post)
  2. Welcome to Eurobricks! Maybe you would like to introduce yourself in the Hello! My name is..... thread? That seems like an adequate system for the instructions which will also look nice from the outside. Aren't you afraid of growing out of your system while expanding your collection? :-)
  3. I am afraid it is... :-/ There is a scala phone though that may be a little bit smaller (I don't have one so I don't know)
  4. Well, I don't know exactly but what I do know is that those are not skeleton legs, probably some clever cone/round-plate construction. We can always relate to the parts list placed on Flickr by Paksu79 as mentioned in this thread. It shows no sign of skeletonlegs.... :-)
  5. Yeah, shame on you! X-D ;-) Don't worry about it, welcome to Eurobricks! I recognise the bankruptness when it comes to Lego and the combination with college (I am a university student myself, and next to a money shortage I don't have that much time either). I am sure you are enjoying yourself already!
  6. It's always a pleasant surprise to see the crazy, fun, great things you come up with! You keep amazing me (though that sleeping giant troll in his big bed has not yet been exceeded... :-D ) Fantastic! *wub* I like the worried look on the caveman, the combination of the face and body does a great job. *y*

Oh, of course, silly me: one needs at least two more couplings... :-$
  8. That is so true! I own set 8479 (180 pages), set 8421 (two big books) what to do with those..... X-O
  9. Wow! What a lot of details inside! Those two doors used to make a freezer (like in a supermarket) are really cool! And that radiator on the top floor *wub* Maybe there's a couch as well, can't see it properly... This will affect the price though... But worth it. 8-
  10. Hello Legotownman! Welcome here! Do you have a link to show us your collection/creations on Brickshelf, Flicker or any other picturehost? You must be into Town, judging you by the name :-P
  11. So am I with mine, what a great set! It'll be expensive to buy off bricklink...
  12. Hey Kill Will! Welcome here, I'm sure you'll enjoy your time. So, you based your name on a certain well known moviesequence? What happened to Bill? ;-)

Nice! You saved the bulky look of the original set and yet made it into a quite subtile carriage, good work. That is a fine locomotive as well, by the way! So with one large waggon it's possible to build two identical smaller ones... *y* One thing I noticed is that you put in the wrong setnumber, but that can be solved right away. EDIT: I pixelarted together my trains as well, fantastic!
  14. Happy Birthday Lego! I hope your day is filled with rattling packa.... no... wait :'-( :-D :-D
  15. I am no fan of Exoforce, but this maintenance dock really is fantastic! Lots of things going on there. *wub* If only I had that many grey pieces... Excellent combination of the construction, old harbour, train and Exoforce themes! *y*
  16. That is so nice! Now everybody on the internet knows about the anniversary! Here it is:
  17. I feel a new topic coming up: 'Where do you store your binders-filled-with-instructions?' :-D
  18. Nice auction, I might place a bid, though $20.00 shipping is quite a lot.... Heavy package though. Thanks for bringing this to our attention.
  19. I store my instructions in 23-rings binders (in plastic sleeves, NEVER punch-hole your instructions!), sorting them by year of release (by theme within a year: town, castle, space, Model Team, Technic). Starting out at about 1975 and up to 2007, I now have about 9 binders full of instructions. The pirates (sorted by setnumber), adventurers/orient expedition (sorted by theme: Egypt, Jungle etc.) and Star Wars (sorted by film) instructions all have their own binders. I've also put small catalogs (by year), spare instructions, other Lego leaflets, and spare stickers (out of the old instructionbooks) together in one binder. All in all about one meter of shelf filled with uprightstanding binders... I never get lost in the system so it works perfectly! Man.... I never thought that I was this well organized, writing it all down enlightens the mind... 8-
  20. Thanks for this information! I am not really a scientist, so all those tables and figures don't do me much, but that probable change of remote control is interesting. I wonder if the remote from the trainsets (7898 e.g.) will work on the powerfunctions as well... I do have the train and some powerfunctions, we are just not in the same place: the functions being in my parents house en me being in my own along with my train. Does anybody know whether they interact?
  21. Am I the only one unable to view the MOC hidden behind this above link? I am curious to the Taj Mahal mentioned... :-(
  22. How are people going to find this topic to post already posted sets in if they can't even find the topic those new sets got posted in? No offense here, but I don't expect this topic to live a long and happy life... But of course you're right, that adventcalendar is really nice!
  23. That's great! Must have taken a lot of work filming this scene, good effects as well! *y* @ Looking for a displayname: How did you get that title?
  24. What a great set, love the pram, balconies, and the rounded look of the front little tower. Another expensive to-buy set.... And I haven't even bought Cafe Corner yet. *y* First of all: welcome to Eurobricks! The line of these sets can be found under 'Shop at Home Exclusives' on the official Legosite, or the Marketstreet also as 'Factory' I don't think there's an entire theme named after it. Cafe Corner, Marketstreet and this new Greengrocer are the only sets in this modular buildings serie so far, but who knows what will come next... You have to have quite an extensive wallet as far as completion of the serie goes, these sets are not cheap but really worth the money. Don't be sorry for posting sensible questions, I hope this helps! :-)
