  1. "That makes sense. I actually was a part of the group that was at the Foundation Day Ball, and well, now it makes more sense." "Kiray Nastayo, you can call me Kiray, Sir...?" she said, trying to get a closer look at the face of the hooded man.
  2. Kiray had been watching Actaeon and Diana converse. It had been awhile since she had signed up for a quest, she could barely even remember the first and only one she did it had been months. Kiray pushed her hair behind her ear before taking a breath and she stood. Timidly she moved up to the two. "Sorry I was eavesdropping, but I heard you mention one of the Veterans is asking for help. If something happened, why wouldn't he call in a larger force than just four to six? Do you know more than us? Sorry for the questions," Kiray rambled, stumbling over a word or two.
  3. Kiray walks up to the quest board and sees there is a quest for inexperienced adventurers. Kiray signs up for Quest #104.
  4. Thanks; i am hoping to make my next ship more accurate, whenever I get around to actually working on one.
  5. I'm torn. On one hand, I love cameras and using them for stuff, and it was really interesting to see how a set like the DS crumbles. But on the other hand, poor pieces. I did really enjoy watching Han fly off screen and the black R2 unit spin, too.
  6. I'll jump in and voice my opinion. Brickhaven Guard does sound pretty good. Not too wordy, especially if it was marketed towards children, I believe you said something similar, Mister Phes. While Port Van Brickhaven certainly sounds cooler, more refined and has a more historical connotation, would kids really enjoy that? Of course children will play what ever they desire but if there is a story, it might be easier with a simplified name. Brickhaven Guard or The Revenue, which is a very nice name. I voted for Haven Guard just for a placeholder/desire for Brickhaven. I also voted orange as well, it would be a nice color to have along with the Redcoats and Bluecoats. Edited for adding my vote.
  7. Ah ok, because I was looking for the LEGO logo on the studs and couldn't find any so I assumed they were really good knockoffs.
  8. I'd love to play, but I'm gone until the 15th so I guess it depends when you're starting. Being a reserve is fine for me, too. I'll fill it out anyway. 1. What is your mafia experience here on EB? How about other sites? None on other sites. On EB I've done Eurodina, The Bloodbath, Bob's Spaceship, Bloodbrick, a Mafia School, Harriet Slutter and CMF 2. 2. What do you think of your performance in EB Mafia so far? What are your strengths and weakness? What do you want to improve? Usually I don't survive past the first three days, probably due to my roleplaying. I did survive as scum to the final round of Bloodbath, but unfortunately we lost because I believe something accidentally slipped out. Strengths, I'm not sure. Weaknesses, sometimes I talk too much or too little, can't find that happy medium. Definitely want to improve. 3. What do you think of private voting? Will you abide by the rules and regulations I set out for it? Yes. Could make the game more interesting/dangerous. People would be more cautious. 4. Have you read Mafia: After Dark? (This does not affect your chances of getting in - I'm just curious). No, I haven't.
  9. Question: How is it legal for springfieldbricks to make those sets? I don't think they have a license with FOX... And I'd love Oky's thoughts, too.
  10. 163B A small merchant ship sanctioned by the king to trade amongst the different ports of the kingdom and with other nations. Hopefully it's not raided, as there are no cannons and only two of the three crew are armed. Inspired by/somewhat modded version of 6271 Imperial Flagship. I got these pieces maybe a year ago with the the other hull pieces for another moc (which is still being worked on) along with more spare hulls. I think I paid $30 USD for everything, which is maybe 12-15 hull pieces and sails, etc. Thoughts? Enjoy!
  11. Here are some purist minifigures of Dragon Age 2 companions I made. I tried to make the skin colors match where they would be from geographically/genetically, thus the mixing of fleshies and regular. Included are reference pictures of companions. Fenris Fenris, being a slave and pretty pale, used a fleshie face, specifically Haldir's face from The Battle of Helm's Deep. The torso is from an old Castle set. Aveline Aveline, being a Human from Fereldan, uses a regular minifigure head and the princess from the new Castle's hair. The entire body is the Lion King from last year's Kingdoms and the shield comes from Theoden. The armor is samurai armor. Merrill Merrill was the hardest one to make for me. She's a Dalish elf from Ferelden so I couldn't decide if she should be pale or tanner. When I found I didn't have any "innocent" looking pale faces, I used this one. The torso comes from the CMF Elf Archer. Varric Varric was my favorite character to make. Even though he's a surface dwarf, I figured a pale face would be better for him since historically his ancestors don't see the sun. He uses Boba Fett's face and Gimli's torso and legs. His crossbow Bianca is also shown. Anders Anders is a human mage from the Anderfels region, and he looks pretty pale in the game to me, so I went with the pale thing. Since he is a Grey Warden (the series Jedi Knights for lack of better terms) and has the taint, I thought he also would be a little pale since he is slowly getting sicker. He uses Aang's torso, Indiana Jones' head and Ogel's armor. Isabela Isabela is a human rogue from Rivain, the game's equivalent to Spain around when the Moors came in. She's tanner since she is in the game and the heritage of the region. The torso is the Admiral's daughter from the most recent Pirates wave.
  12. I was going to say "Enlightenment".
  13. Great review! If there's only one set I could get for the rest of the year, it'd be this one. I loved how informative you made this, especially for a younger AFOL who doesn't have any Classic Space sets. Now I want some!
  14. Yeah, I really wanted to experiment with some techniques and the bricks I bought when I started building it, but I agree, I could have done some more.
  15. Thanks, Calanon! Yeah, I tried to find a white background but I didn't have a big enough one on hand, but I've figured out a way I think.
  16. Great armies everyone! Here are mine along with explanation of the armies pertaining to the lore of my area, especially since I like keeping armies the same. Included are numbers of soldiers, and it does not include princesses/queens, old/young townies, etc. Just fighters, though some may be carrying siege weapons, etc and not shown holding weapons. LOTR figures are included but go as generic soldiers based (eg "Aragorn" is a plain swordsman, etc) The Crown The oldest kingdom in the realm, used to be quite rich but has started falling on bad times (explaining the peasant militia and colorful mercenaries). They have decent supply lines for battle due holding much land, but the populace is starting to waver in their devotion to the king, though some are lucky to have salvaged armor in the battles fought recently. 1x King 2x Archers 20x Spearmen (4 carrying siege engines/supplies) 12x Swordsmen Current Standing: 35 able bodied men The Raiders The "evil" men, or maybe just misunderstood. A small group, but ruthless. Known for pillaging the countryside, the evil men retreat back to their hidden lair. They have acted as mercenaries for various kingdoms throughout the years for proxy wars. 1x Wizard 1x Archer 3x Spearmen 7x Swords/axemen (one not pictured, inside a carriage) 1x Dragon Current Standing: 12 able bodied men The Other Similar to the evil men, the Other are knwon for raiding local villages, but this group is much larger, possibly even more dangerous. Divided into two branches in a twisted form of republic, the orcs and skeletons have joined forces to some end unknown to the rest of the world. 1x Ogre 2x Berserker Orcs 7x Orc Swordsmen 5x Orc spearmen 1x Mounted Skeleton (not shown, he was missing from the army for some reason) 5x Sketeon swordsmen Current Standing: 21 able bodied men things The Lion Knights A smaller, newer kingdom far from the Crown Kingdom. Led by a king and his twin brother serving as first general, this kingdom is gaining wealth faster than thought possible. They prefer investing the money over building up a large army, a smart move as they are at the far end of the world, nearly isolated. 2x Royal Family 3x Archers 2x Swordsmen 3x Spearmen 1x peasant fighter Current Standing: 11 able bodied men The Dragon Knights Led by my sigfig, the Dragon Knights are a secretive group, not exactly a kingdom or guild or even band of mercenaries. Rather a group whose goals are to keep balance in the realm, making war when necessary to not let one kingdom grow too strong. All are welcome to join, but none may leave. Some whisper that the Dragons are truly the most powerful in the realm, but their castle concealed by an immense forest hides all the answers. 4x Horsemen (including my sigfig; one horse not pictured) 2x Wizard (one on horseback, not included in the horsemen) 5x Archers 10x swordsmen 2x Spearmen 1x Man with a massive warhammer 1x Wardog Current standing: 25 able bodied men Overall of fighters in the realm: 104 able bodied men The reason I have so many factions with such little men is due to having multiple sets from multiple themes/years without buying spare figs from online.
  17. Trying to be more active

  18. This is a moc that has taken a long time to build, mainly because I could only build it during two weekends when I was back home from college. Just a young, royal family at a private retreat (for some reason unfurnished, the kig has odd tastes, mind you ) Someone has to carry their belongings. Seems pretty cheerful to do it if you ask me. The prince and princess playing by the small waterfall on the island A shot of the interior Enjoy!
  19. Texas. Which surprised me, I've found new sets usually aren't around until two-weeks to a month later except in the LEGO stores. The only time I can remember sets being sold before their release date in my area was 2006 with Exo-Force which were out very late November, a month before scheduled release.
  20. This was at Toys R Us which marks everything up, so that could be it, but it probably is priced wrong either way. Sorry I couldn't get a better picture. At first glance, I was kind of put off by the sets, and really am only looking forward to the mobile command center set, but looking at the reviews, they're starting to grow on me.
  21. Yup, just found them in my local Toys R Us, as well.
  22. I actually have banned quite a few people. About seven (I think) years back my brother and I banned this kid who was about my brother's age because literally everything he toucheded seemed to break. Everything. The 7622 MTT broke at the touch somehow. About three years ago we had to ban my cousin (who was about second grade at the time and we were much older) who mercilleslly destroyed about a third of each of our collections, even after we had warned him to not ram vehicles into walls, etc. Luckily no pieces or minifigures cracked.
  23. Picked myself up a second Castle Gold Getaway (70401) today. Going to build it over the weekend most likely or combine the two I have. Thoughts?
  24. Thanks! Only reason I didn't use it was that my professor preferred we didn't use music and record most of the sound effects ourselves. The only ones I didn't record were the princess' scream, the horse neighing and its galloping.
  25. Hey everyone. I haven't made a comic or brickfilm in who knows how long. Anyway, at my university we had to do a project where we tell a story in 12-15 still frames and we can have sound as well. We can't edit the pictures aside from resizing in Avid and we had to use 35mm film. Just thought I'd share this with everyone. Thoughts?
