  1. I have to say, even though I passed out in my quest, I'm learning a lot by reading how everyone else in the quest is doing. Thanks for letting me on Steerpike, Sandy!
  2. Well, it's been a few weeks and the build is getting along. The ship parts I ordered came in and I immediately went to work with what I could do. All of the ship parts I came in (picture below) were in a lot from ebay, all for $60 USD. I must say, I'm happy with that lot. The far right brown hulls are what I'm using for The Rowdy Gentleman. The others will be towards future ships. Today, I went to my local LEGO Discovery center and they finally had some decent pieces.I picked up 5 brown chairs, a lot of brown 1x2 logs and 1x4 logs. I also picked up some black slopes, black 1x4 plates, and tan 1x4 plates. To save money, I'm making the ship two hulls sections shorter (college is expensive ) I got rid of the galley, now having where treasure goes and redesigned the brig. I also am not using brown tiles, but rather the tan plates, because well, saving money and it adds some playability to it (I'm all about playable features that look good). Comments?
  3. Here is a small vig I made a few weeks back, but I finally found time to actually take pictures. Nothing much, just a Roman gladiator fighting a Nubian. Enjoy!
  4. Thanks for letting me play! I had so much fun with the new role. I wish I would have thought of your note when I was being voted for again. I could've said that and that may have helped, but probably not.... Sorry, Sandy, for getting you out early...
  5. Kiray attacks the DC II from the back row.
  6. "Yeah, Arnulf, don't use the venom. That could come back to bite us later." Kiray attacks the Dreadfully Chicken II from the BR
  7. Kiray opened her mouth to say another horrible pun, but thought better, coming to the conclusion there was not much she could say. Kiray attacks Dreadfully Fried Chicken II from the back row.
  8. Kiray''s blue eyes widened. Her feet unconsciously backpedaled. "Oh no, sir, I did not mean it like that."
  9. "That wasn't too bad. Can't let one bad apple spoil the rest." Kiray sheathed her sword and slung her red shield across her back. She tied back the wisps of hair that became loose during the battle, letting only her long bangs hang out. "That's fine with me, Arnulf. I'll take the Banana." Kiray then turned her attention to Master Chef Yasmar. "Master Chef, do you mean us to take out the salads? We were advised to stay here in the kitchen, and who knows if the main courses turn into something."
  10. Kiray attacks Cherrible BR. "We can do this. Just a bit more."
  11. "I agree; don't apologize. You're a vital part of this party." Kiray attacks Horraple from the Back Row again.
  12. "LEt's do this again." Kiray attacks the Horrapple from the back row again.
  13. "What's so funny, Grimwald?" Kiray asked. "A-pear-antly something must be tickling you, but what is it?"
  14. "Lettuce fight." Kiray attacks Horrapple from the back row.
  15. "Thanks, you too," Kiray replied in a hushed tone. "We need a plan to distract the Chef."
  16. Kiray shakes her head, her head feeling numb from her intense concentration. She walks looks at the spices being used.
  17. "Patience is easy," Kiray interjected. "Tolerance, not so much. It's hard to be tolerant fo a chef who won't let you do his job. Though, in his defense, nobody must have told him what is going on."
  18. "Understood," Kiray whispers back to her party leader, a man who justly should be there. She did not envy his job at all at the moment. Kiray watches the chefs as they answer for microexpressions, tells, body movement, and the like.
  19. "Got it." Kiray tiptoes over to an assistant chef.
  20. "Thanks, Arnulf." Kiray inches closer to the rogue. Kiray peers into the pots and pans, away (if possible) from the chef's long reach.
  21. "Works for me, Bishop." "Master Chef Yasmar," Kiray says. "I hail from another land where my father is a king. He has heard of your prowess in the kitchen and has sent me to search you out. He hopes he may be able to hire you at some point."
  22. "I like that idea," Kiray whispers back to Arnulf. "Who does what? Want me to deal with the chef as I have the crown? Want me to say I'm a princess whose father wants me out in the world to better myself and become an experienced woman before returning to my homeland?" She grimaces at merely mentioning her father, she realized. She reminds herself to be more careful in public.
  23. Kiray's mouth falls open at the sight of the chef. This was not what she was expecting. At all. "Um, excuse me, Master Chef Yasmar, but that's not exactly the kind of language to use in front of a lady, even if said lady can fight." She takes a deep breath, opens her mouth to speak, but no words can form to the massive chef. Kiray glances at her party leader, some of her thick brown hair falling in front of her eyes. "Arnulf, any suggestions?"
  24. Kiray is ready to go as soon as Grimwald is. "I wouldn't dare disturb him, sir. And he may never come back? Well, We won't let that happen."
  25. "Understood, Captain." Kiray glances at Mr. Wigglepike. "Mr. Wigglepike, what exactly do you mean by this chef is sensitive? I understand he does not want anything going wrong in the kitchen, but is he known to give guards leeway? Taste-testing? Rummaging through cabinets?"
