    "Maybe I didn't word it exactly that well, but I do think that deciding if we let them live and take them back or kill them outright before we even get to see them in person is a horrible idea. Let's assess the situation when we find them." Kiray peered into the woods where Siercon and Diana went. "Well, we might as well begin." Kiray follows Diana and Siercon.

    "You referring to the Dragons or the riders, Diana?" Kiray questioned. "Both can be seen as monsters, depending on your worldview. If they can be brought in alive, we should. We should let them stand trial for the crimes they committed and face just punishment. If that's not possible, then luckily we have weapons." Kiray made a nervous chuckle and pushed a lock of hair back behind her ear.

    "Thank you, Emperor," Kiray said as she bowed. "Now we should be off."

    "Thank goodness she is safe," Kiray chimed in. "U'Daras said that the emperor would most likely know where the Dragoons are." She cast her eyes to the emperor.

    I enjoyed Black Sails when it was on and can't wait for the next season. Yeah, parts of it are slow but it's only what, 10 or so episodes and while they should have picked up steam earlier, I usually give a show like this a season to get good or I quit and a show with 20+ episodes (regular season here in the states) about 3/4 of the season. The second season should have a lot more oomph to it and the acting is very good. Surprisingly, it's also a Michael Bay production, although he just produces it. Though I may be somewhat biased as I was still making my way through AC4 at the time.

    Ah ok, because I'm working on a possible quest I may want to do that takes place on one of the islands.

    OoC: Would my shield's SP have gone up as well since Siercon said I could do that since I had my full 31 gold or did I miss that? Kiray covered her nose at the stench of smoke and watched the refugees. She looked to Actaeon when the U'Kin approached, seeing what he had to say.

    Regarding the maps, has anyone made a more accurate political map? With country boundaries and borders. Maybe a physical map of the entire world as well, not just the ones divided up smaller. Side note, the islands to the south of Azzurat splitting the Pearl and Summer Seas, are those currently a part of any empire?

    Kiray accepts Siercon's offer if still valid. "I'll repay when I can," Kiray said. "Also, I am not a fan of this letter we have received," the knight began. "If it is her handwriting, could she possibly be under duress and it's a way she's trying to communicate with us?"

    "That wasn't necessary, two levels," Kiray said to Diana, "but thank you. It's going to go to good use. You watch my back, I watch yours in upcoming fights?" Kiray then moved to the ground and unfurled her bedroll. "I say we all get some sleep soon or we'll regret it." Kiray is ready to rest.

    Kiray stared in awe at the settlement. It was so different from anything she had seen. When she came across the weapons, she decided to take the Sanctified Rito Longsword. "Thank you," she said to them. After hearing Diana's suggestion, Kiray replied, "Really? That's very kind of you. If you could, would you please help me upgrade the Sanctified Rito Longsword? Even if it's just one level, I have a feeling we will need a lot of power to face our coming enemies." Kiray then bought 1 Potion for 15 gold, leaving her with 16. (31-15= 16)

    "I'm sorry that we had to fight those Pongcanae, especially since you were close with some." "You could?" Kiray's eyes lit up. "I'd love that, as much as it would hurt, you know? I don't know if I could ever repay you, but I'd love to come with you."

    "She was a pretty woman, dark black hair and green eyes. They looked like the color of the dragon scales we saw. She was much taller than me, though." Kiray cast her eyes down. "I was the result of an... unhappy... at least that's putting it lightly, marriage. I never knew my father, and my mother never spoke of him. Luckily we were from a small town where everyone knew everyone, and everyone helped everyone. My mother worked hard to give me as close to a normal life as possible. She didn't yell often. She always said there was too much pain in the world for her to yell; she didn't want to add to it." Kiray's eyes began to water. "She died maybe two years ago. I was out getting food that morning. The sun was really bright, children were laughing, the smith's boy helped me carry the basket full of fruit home. I walked in my doorway, and saw my mother... dead. Just laying there on the floor. Blood was coming from her body. First I thought she had committed suicide. I looked closer and saw her throat had been slit and bones had been crushed. By what or who, I don't know. I didn't even talk to her that day, the last I saw her was the night before." Kiray swiped at a falling tear. "I do remember a happy time with her, when I was much younger. She and I went to the apple trees just outside of town. We picked apples and played by the stream and found two small rabbits, a mother and daughter. Just like us. We took them home with us actually. Fig and Dig were their names."

    "I don't disagree with that, about Tarban maybe having the right idea. Did he do it correctly? I'm not sure I can say, I've killed people too. Were you raised by people similar to Tarban? Pongcanae? Want to talk about your mom? I could tell you a little about mine if you want, make it easier for you to tell your story."

    Kiray began to eavesdrop on Mallelio's and Diana's conversation. Once the sage fell silent, Kiray eased her way up to Diana. "You did good work back there, thanks for taking those Pongcanis out. I, uh, noticed some stuff back there though. You didn't seem too happy to kill them. I think you and I should talk about it, and if not now, at least when we make camp. Alright?"

    Kiray carefully tread around the board, looking to see if there was something interesting, would it attack? Talk? Her diplomacy skills were becoming better. She accidentally tripped, falling to the ground with a loud thunk. She idly wondered if her flaming armor would cause the ground to catch fire. She stood up, dusted herself off and sat down at a table. She pulled out a piece of paper and signs up for the raffle.

    Kiray accepts the 16 gold from Siercon and the 10 gold and Mediocre Pongcanis Brew from Actaeon, bringing her gold up to 31. "That wasn't necessary Siercon, but thank you." Kiray gives a nod of the head to her friend. "I agree, we must hurry now to the settlement."

    "Sorry about that happening, I hoped it wouldn't have turned into a fight. I was hoping to lead him on and then cross him when we get back and use our skull companion here as a fake emperor head to trick him and then distract him to get enough Dastan guards in place. Either way this rebellious hairy creature is dead, and he won't be hurting his people or other others of Dastan any longer." Kiray gave a small, slightly cold smile to Actaeon. She turned to Diana and flashed a warm, seemingly protective grin.

    That's what he gets for picking on the girls, Kiray mused "Ok, I'm going to revive Actaeon, we need all the help we can get right now." I hope this is the best time to use this" Kiray uses Phoenix Essence on Actaeon from the back row. U'Voros targets Tarban from the front row.     "Diana, we need you to focus on this fight right now, and then we can rest," Kiray shouted to the assassin. Then the knight cast her gaze on Actaeon, "You need to keep your anger at Diana in check right now. There's two bigger, hairier problems going on right in front of us. A little sass from an assassin isn't going to get us anywhere."
