  1. I dont ;) asuming that the volvo and xerion leaks IS true its still not logical that we will have 2 licensed set for the same year, so most likely one of them will be the 2017 flagship... but since the license deal was already done, the leak was possible. The police car as well as the getaway racer will probably be pullbacks similar to the 42033 & 34 - both in price and parts counts (approx 150 or so) and they can most likely be built together, while the mining loader will be more of a match to the 42022 hot rod in price and number of parts.
  2. So if the 2H sets wasnt true... the 1H isnt either?
  3. Seriously?! banned for using freedom of speech? wow i didnt knew this site was located in communist china, or north korea... (until now)
  4. Yah, lets build a crane... into a crane! instead we could have had an awesome blue bulldozer as the b-model ;)
  5. Same here! thats why the "ultimate supercar" needs to be spectacular, nothing less than fully rc with a 5+ speed gearbox, openable doors and hoods, changeable seats, - all controlled from the remote... i think thats what we least can demand from a car flagship, else it wouldnt be a flagship.
  6. With 8265 b-model they have taken too many shortcuts with the crane/arm... the operating controls is so lame and too simple, because with the 3 including actuators they could had design it alot better! but 42035 b-model has to be one of the worst, it looks so stupid and the blade rising/lowering mechanism is too lame. 8288 b-model seems like a waste, why build the very same model once again? so much lack of imagination. on the other hand, 42037 b-model looks absolutely stunning... it should been the main model!
  7. My bad, could been "i p" as well! however remote controlled gears and doors are easy to do... just use servos ;)
  8. How can someone judge scale just like that by looking on a tiny pic? my 2 cents is that it gonna be a RC Lamborghini look alike car, thats where the "LP" comes in ;) with a remote controlled gear shifting system and openable doors.
  9. A supercar as flagship has to be RC, which means that only one of the volvo excavator, the 4wd tractor, or the bucket wheel excavator will be motorized since only two sets/year is motorized. If the supercar was a licensed set then it would had said i.e "Ferrari" or "Lamborghini" (or whatever it would be) instead of just "ultimate supercar" So with that in mind, isnt a bit strange that we got 2 licensed sets and none of them is the flagship? we should take this leaked list with a little bit grain of salt... time will tell!
  10. It will require alot more pneumatics than the arocs, so the question is how its operated? history shows us that motorized 1H sets are extremely rare, so maybe they came up with another solution? a compressor driven through a differential could be cool, linked to a couple of air tanks. So we just have to play around with it a little first to fill up the air tanks ;)
  11. Exactly, it cant be based on that one because it would be way too big, just look at the crawler base with all those tracks. It would make more sense if it was based on one of these:
  12. The airport rescue truck and the helicopter will be the 2 big sets for 1H (if asuming the volvo excavator is a 2H set) they will probably be about in the same price range as the arctic vehicle and the lemans car.
  13. I see your point, indeed the last number is the flagship and the second biggest number should be the second biggest set (thats the pattern we seen over the last years) but this time we have two licensed models and those are always pretty big, and theres usually one midsize set among the big ones in 2H. So theres a chance that the volvo excavator can be the 1H flagship, but wherever it will be or not it wont gonna cost only 40 euros (try 100+) because if you look at the real thing it has 7 cylinders, that means the lego version has to be big enough both in the digging arm but also in the structure to support 7 pneumatic cylinders and all in/out going hose wirings plus a minimum of 5 pneumatic switches, and perhaps even some air tanks or a compressor. If it also is motorized then it will be far more expensive than just 100 euros, and expect around 1000 pieces for this set so it will be more big than midsized. If one of the 2H sets will be midsized and only gonna cost around 40-60€, then the bucket wheel excavator is the best bet.
  14. We kinda know the sizes, approx! history will tell us! ;) 42044 Display Team Jet - mini 42045 Hydroplane Racer - mini 42046 Getaway Racer - small 42047 Police Interceptor - small 42048 Race Kart - small to midsize 42049 Mine Loader - small to midsize 42050 Drag Racer - midsize 42051 Airport Rescue Vehicle - big 42052 Heavy Lift Helicopter - big to very big (perhaps the 1H flagship) ---------------------------------------- 42053 Volvo EW160E - big 42054 Claas Xerion 5000 TRAC - very big 42055 Bucket Wheel Excavator - midsize 42056 Ultimate IP Car - very big Could it be! but it seems more likely that the mining loader would be better of a match for the mining truck, especially by judging from the price.
  15. I think they gonna make it a little more simple, with the stabilizers and the blade being operated manually with a knob through a switch in the mid center of the wheel base. But, even with this construction we will have like 7 pneumatic cylinders(!) - best bet is 1 normal, 4 new long thin ones, and 2 mini for bucket rotating - by judging from photos. But who knows... if they do make it 100% pneumatic, it will indeed end up like the modern 8455 ;)
  16. Used 8294 excavator a while ago at bricklink for 29 euros (just over 40 with shipping)
  17. Indeed it would! it could just be packed with functions. Besides the usually digger functions it will have a 2-piece boom, a blade going up and down, stabilizers, and, the best part: a rotating bucket ;)
  18. Could have steering!? :D i think thats a must... but it wont be much more else than that to it. Im afraid it gonna be too similar to the 8274 & 84 - just a huge set with only one or two functions, but motorized.
  19. wow! yeah space is awesome, being a fan of saturn v myself who wouldnt like having a rocket like this ;)
  20. A couple of small trucks ;)
  21. It doesnt need to be huge at all, if we looking back at earlier years we will find a smaller set among the large ones for the 2H. For example this year we had a midsize set (the plane) and 2 very big sets which was the crawler crane and the mercedes truck. Last year we had the bulldozer as a midsize set together with much larger sets (the red truck and the L350) so we do see a pattern here. Since licensed sets will be kinda big, and the Ultimate car listed as the last set (which is the biggest one) its only leave out the bucket wheel exavator for being a midsize set.
  22. Many good points there! but they could have seal a deal with volvo already thats why this leak was possible (that does not explain the Claas Xerion leak this early, however) And 1H does not missing a flagship since the 2H will probably have only 3 or 4 sets, so logic suggests thats either the helicopter or the EW160 excavator who is the 1H flagship. When something is too good to be true...
  23. Very, very interesting! on the other hand, going by history its the licensed model that is the flagship. But now when theres two licensed models it might be another model as a flagship so i also believe its the ultimate car as the 2H flagship, and the heavy lift helicopter is probably the 1H flagship, would be cool if it was a very big version of 42020. some guesses: 42053 Volvo EW160E - midsize to big, pneumatic 42054 Claas Xerion 5000 TRAC - very big, motorized, but with only a few functions 42055 Bucket Wheel Excavator - midsize only, cable operated manually 42056 Ultimate IP Car - RC, very big
