  1. ty nice done, is it possible in somehow to open your changes in LDD? or is the file way different?
  2. ...that fits in the palm of your hand ;) i realized that the tracks (well, chain links..) rolls a bit better with the new 8t gear http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/goldvillage/new/mini_bulldozer_a.lxf Happy build! xD
  3. Yeah i had some complains about the wheels and tires as well, they look way off which is a bit of a shame for such a nice model overall. IRL Volvo using the same kinda wheel size for most of their wheel loader line, i.e 25 is all used for their 15.5 / 17.5 / 20.5 / 23.5 / 26.5 tires - which is everything from the small L30/4200 up to the large 4600/L160 and i believe even L180. IMO the tires should been bigger and the wheels smaller with a different look, as it is right now the wheel size compared to the tires matches only a small or medium size loader.
  4. aahhw! how cool is that, the white fangs ;)
  5. its more like shit behind the camera... im no skilled photografer :/ and theres this... im really a beginner with LDD. I tried rotating best as i could, still not able to connect the tracks, also the build of the structure have come to an end in LDD since some pieces either cannot be connected or is missing. maybe some friendly soul could fix this with the tracks... also i dont have any mini actuators in my ldd, and the beam with 9 holes arent allowed in yellow(?!) and at bottom center near rear, a gear cannot be added. http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/goldvillage/new/mini_excavator.lxf
  6. Top view: The base, how on earth do i connect the tracks to/around the gears?! (im using LDD)
  7. Thanx, i tried to create it with LDD, but hopeless... (im new to this) some pieces wont connect to each other at all, and gears cannot be added next to each other... also some pieces seems to be missing and there doesnt exist any yellow liftarm with 9 holes. But i was able to build most of its center, i guess the rest arent that difficult to figure out.
  8. wow, amazing job ;) to be able to build something like this just from looking at pics and get it right - is just amazing ;)
  9. So sad to hear, dunno what to say...my deepest sympathy.
  10. TY ;) yeah its impossible to make an replica in something this small... whatever works = will do ;)
  11. Just finished my mini excavator project (sry for the bad camera) the base and structure doesnt look that way off, the hardest part was the boom/arm. First i tried with some angled connectors but that didnt look too good either.
  12. (missed that) sounds alot, but ofc, i didnt count the track links :/
  13. D3K, stunning job ;) explains a lot! maybe it still can be motorized by replacing the fake v4 - thats the only place where a motor would fit ;) and i still believes that the 4 red pins inside the chassi (from bottom view) could be battery box mounts. BTW, you know how many pieces you used? my first estimation was approx 300-350 but now when we can see more details it looks to be 400+ for sure
  14. Why do ppl bashing a model we yet havent get our hands n yet? i definitely welcome a smaller more simple bulldozer in a world of battery powered giants, and btw... are ppl too lazy to rotate a couple of knobs to rise/lowering the blade and the ripper? because thats the only 2 functions ;)
  15. I highly doubt the new bulldozer will cost anywhere near $55... IF so its really overpriced. 42004 has like what, 250 pieces and costs about $25? compared to that i think this only slightly larger bulldozer is worth about $30-35 for its (estimated) 300-350 pieces or so
  16. wow that bulldozer looks stunning! just perfect size ;) wondering what the alternate model will be... my best guess is a excavator or a mini version of the 42006
  17. nah its not just you, the front end looks way off and so does the liftarms - way too tiny (they should been more massive) and the tires are way too small but overall... i still like it ;)
  18. its no way near done yet (it isnt even medium rare ;) and i need get more pieces in yellow color
  19. IMO pneumatic all the way becuse they have one huge advantage: you dont need to care about the right angles of degrees as when u gonna connect universal joints at curved beams, i just got my hands of my first actuators just recently ( 2 mini ones) and have started a mini excavator project
  20. Maybe next year! they have made new pieces time to time only for a specific set... so why not?! :P only lets say a new 20-stud big tire would make the L-2350 justice ;)
  21. it depends if we counting holes or studs xD the tires are the unimog ones 12x5 studs? (about) so yes, 22 studs or 23 holes is my guess
  22. amazing build!! really looks like a official set
  23. Indeed it could! but only 1 motor with a compressor would been enough together with a very low gear ratio at the bogies by using worm gears (technic would save alot of money) the only expensive parts would been the nr of pneumatic cylinders... like 12 or so, ad 8-9 switches depending how many functions u want. the vehicle i posted is a Timberjack 933! 28 ton's of muscles, and imo its a scandal that technic never has created anything like it Not only john deere makes green engines! many of old volvos also had green engines... some of the old farmer tractors, as well as in their old LM loader series
  24. For being what it is - a volvo L350, it looks good. But im disapointed about the choose of model since we already have so many wheel loaders... i was expecting something more advanced, something like this
