[MOC] Ferrari F50GT
jorgeopesi replied to Jeroen Ottens's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Yes, I had to see the real one and to be honest I do not like very much your version, I think the front hood is too long and the roof too low and round, but it is only my opinion. I can work in a roof for months and it do not like it at all so it is my problem. -

This round roof kills the car IMO, I do not like to use many panels but to use them too much sometimes is worst, a normal roof one stud higher in the window frames would be better, just IMO. Of course an awesome car anyway, I have to get those mudguard panels... -

Thanks I have made a lot of progress in my slow speed... It is at least 80% different, the roof has different size, the hood is a stud longer, steering, engine, chassis and front and rear axles totally new, I am with the most difficult parts the spoiler, the trunk and the rear mudguards but the part I like the most it is the modularity. You can disassemble all the car parts, front and rear axles, trunk, hood, fender, doors, engine, chassis, roof and sides by only removing 24 pins and of course some connectictions like the steering, the engine or the front window frames. So if you do not like some part you can easly change it if you want without difficulty. -
It is not for me but if you like to do it good for you, is this for a Lego forum?, this is the eternal question.

I know It and in fact I have pics of It and many others more because they are awesome machines, awesome work as usual. It has been many years since my last purchase of instructions and this seems to be a perfect occasion. I wrote this after see the long video, unfortunatelly it has too much pieces for my taste but I still loving It. -

Almost all lambos are similar to me, except the countach, so I would say a nice kind of lambo with nice colors. -

Ferrari F40
jorgeopesi replied to jorgeopesi's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I want just a easy car to build in the style of the lego ferrari racers, I will try to use the less pieces I can, so the design could change, of course it will not be a full cover bodywork car it is not my style. -

As proof that I am working on it two pics of today. Front and rear axles can be removed by extracting only 6 pieces, the fake engine is more in scale, it has ackerman steering and I am trying to put HOG steering too, it will be changes in the roof and bonnet because I never liked them, I eliminated the gearbox and the suspensions are much better, I hope you like the car again. -

I have the LDD archive, the PDF made from this with some changes by Thorsten but I am doing it again much better always in my opinion . This one has not gearbox because I want it easy to do but it already has better suspension, ackerman steering without the ugly old system, it is more modular and I will only remove some aesthetic parts I did not like, the roof, the rear spoiler and a little the bonnet, more based on the competizione version with round lights in the front.
