  1. I was using those liftarms as a frame thinking sure nobody has do it before, trying to do motorcycles is like to be a beginner again with Technic. Now I am working on a kind of bimota steering but I am afraid to look more of your awesome machines...
  2. Looking forward to know the problem too, my youngest motor is more than 6 years and all of them work perfect, but I am using them continuosly on my MOCs.
  3. I already knew something was wrong. After do the undercarriage I did not know what to do so I decided to do the outside and I came to this huge thing, I loved those sprockets and I wanted to use them but they do to too big the MOC so turn back... I can not do something of this size it would be impossible with my way of think each step could have many valid solutions and I would go crazy... I will reduce the scale and we will see...
  4. Buy the Ducati, I do not like specially bikes but this is a master piece and its price is a joke for the parts it brings.
  5. I am so sorry because I can not help you but you do not have to feel frustrated, this has happened to all of us sometime. My advice is start from zero again maybe you have an issue so evident that you can not see it or you can show us pics and maybe somebody can help you.
  6. It would be great to have some kind of master list to help us with a more efficient order in the development of our MOCs, or think about something similar between all of us in another thread or steal the Lego one I suppose it has one . First to choice a reference, second to scale it, third whatever I know it there would be thosand ways to do it... a powerful topic for sure...
  7. We all take care of aesthetic on our MOCs, but the search of the minimum aesthetic, structural if possible takes a lot of time, I could say that I spend the same time with aesthetics than someone that only do aesthetics MOCs, well almost... and that is why I do not like aesthetics I loose a lot of time... I could loose even more time doing perfect aesthetic MOCs but I would have to sacrifice efficiency, functionality and they would be fragile, I want them for children to play with not for only see.
  8. I would need weeks for this, awesome. I just have finished my ducati and I was blown away with the panels work, doing motorcycles is another world...
  9. This is the way, a lot of tryings to find the best solution and while you are building different approachs you learn and have fun, if we conquer what we exact need at first it would not be funny .
  10. Reading this topic gave me an idea for another one and I think it is different enough to have a thread of its own. In my case I do not like doing bodywork but no doubt the hardest part to do on my MOCs is whatever movement of a arm or bucket. I always look for the maximun realistic movement and I can easly spend weeks improving a small linkage because those mechanisms change a lot with less than a milimeter in any direction. I am waiting for my family to get up and I have to spend my time .
  11. Very interesting part I have done a lot of versions of what I have done that would be very helpful for other MOCs but they only are in my mind or some pics.
  12. Yes we will say that Santa already came a bit...
  13. I just have put my hands on big grey frames... I will use them... I do not know where and how but I will...
  14. First of all Merry Xmas and in second place for me every MOC over 1000 pieces it is big but just in my case, because I like to use the less pieces I can. Leaving aside the part of choice and scalling of the MOC I am referring to the first steps with pieces. I usually go to the small part to the whole but I try to change it because I think it could be better to do the opposite, I know it from ages because in drawing is the same and I still start my drawings from the eyes... I just want to know how do you start your MOCs?, from the outside, inside, difficult mechanisms, easy parts, wheels I do not know just tell me... and we will see if my thread title remains intact .
  15. To use frames is always the way...
  16. Wow very awesome first sight .
  17. I have it in my mind with front shovels and now a bike... I do not have enough hands...
  18. I still remember when your post didn´t look like an advertising, nice car anyway.
  19. Ouch, when will the next contest be?.
  20. Believe or not I had just asked for a Ducati to Santa, I do not like specially bikes but I think it is a cheap set piece for piece so I will have wheels if Santa wants...
  21. It reminds me to old volvo bm backhoes but with bigger wheels an extra arm, I loved those type backhoes.
