I vote for putting it in the "show your army/collection/etc" thread!

One thing I noticed is this in the full rules: Turtles containing or depicting military vehicles or weapons will not be eligible for the competition This is not stated in the basic rules. Some entries already posted have what look to me to be weaponry, I may be wrong, but it seems that this point is being overlooked by some.

Yeah it's been a really disappointing winter so far. Besides a billion new Opera Houses at Myer, I've seen very little stock anywhere that wasn't on the shelves from 6 months ago. Except Lego Movie stuff, that disappeared long ago, and I would be keen to pick up some more of that stuff for presents if I could find it! But no. And these are probably the last "decent" sales before Christmas. Not that they are decent this year. Only new sets I've seen recently are the bike shop, speedorz and Ninjago. But I have 1 really positive thing to mention about that catalogue, the Lego is all under the "boys & girls" category instead of "boys" for everything bar Friends etc.

They need to differentiate their space themes from Star Wars, remember Wrong message? By not encouraging children to fight against other people? I think they would argue that sowing seeds of conflict against made-up aliens is the lesser of 2 evils, if we assume that there really must be conflict to sell the sets.

Well, so far there have been 2 polybags released for each wave except 2nd LOTR. Uruk-Hai & Frodo, Gandalf & Mirkwood Elf, Legolas & Laketown Guard. But most of the time a lot of people have no chance of finding them so I don't mind if there aren't any this time...

TLG don't seem to like humans V humans these days though, so the bad guys would probably be aliens again.

I never played the games and didn't understand that movie from about halfway onward. I did like The Spirits Within. Funny, because a friend hated that one and loved Advent Children. He is a comic book & super hero junkie though.

You should watch The Transformers cartoon movie instead then. And Grimlock "kicks butt" in that one...

Just about every colour goes with white & black, even grey! Only problem with all the differently coloured Futuron minifigs is that not all of the colours go well with each other. Obviously the 4 originals do, along with green and a few others. But the lighter & darker blues don't go great with standard blue etc. I really like the dark ones myself, those brick colours are quite nice.

The newer motors have the longer couplings. My monorails have been packed away (trains are out, track is away) for a few years so I can't test it myself, but my guess is that they made longer ones for better flexibility of the train. From memory, the 6991 Unitron train does corners a tiny bit easier than 6990 Futuron train. That also means a train using the newer motor is a fraction longer than if using an old one. Only slightly.
