  1. Just Star Wars and City I believe. Although one or two other sets pop up online as discounted but it's not across the board. Only SW & City are 20% off. There are a few other discounts (not much) but the Jungle Rescue Base is $60 down from $80. Myer DOES have 20% off Lego, but unfortunately again the additional 10% for Myer One does not apply to Lego.
  2. Yes, I clicked on the "view new posts" button and got sent to post #1. Notice that the forum name has changed to "Action & Adventure"! Well, half of my idea made it I suppose.
  3. I finally got a chance on the weekend to get something happening, and finished it last night. Don't think I'll have enough time to build another before the deadline, but might try anyway. For those interested and want to nitpick or whatever: Space Police 2 Exo Suit http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=99249entry2005567 Can I say, that this was really fun. After all the hoo-ha of my Exo Suit sets taking 4 weeks to arrive, and not having any free time for ages...
  4. Space Police 2 Exo Suit Built with real Lego... Those familiar with 1992's Space Police 2 would recall the 2 prominent colours being black & old (non-bluish) grey, with secondary colours red & trans green, and white handheld utensils/weapons. For the modern version, I have instead included both bluish greys and also some shiny grey/silver parts. I think it still fits the recognisable colour scheme aesthetic. The printed logo slope & tile both appear on the suit, the slope is obscured in the photo I included. Unfortunately I couldn't manage to add a prison cell to the model, it is a bit too big fit on it! I did include 2 white utensils in front of the standing area for the minifig to have on hand if he disembarks when he is on location. The laser gun arm could possibly have a stun setting I suppose. The arm with hand has a lot of "fingers", and can carry a Blacktron deviant minifig. "Dead or alive, you're coming with me..." Shame that all my BT2 minifigs are packed away out of easy access, I had to use a recent rehash for the photo (in the album, not here) instead. The cockpit opens out, the windscreen hinges upwards and the other part downwards. The original lower arm connection was used to connect the "metal detector" part for the wings, and the arms instead attached via the T bar that was on the original model but omitted from the compulsory contest frame. The elbows still have normal articulation. The wrist can only rotate on 1 axis. All other articulation is as per the original model. He stands very stably with the long solid feet, that enable swift movement. It is suited for flat or reasonably navigable terrain, and not so much for rock climbing. The dishes on the arms are armoured shield emitters. The Kerrigan/Unicron style wings are for... uh, coolness I suppose. Featuring the obligatory "one-arm-is-a-gun", too many flick-fire missiles (6), vertical whip antenna, unusual part usage (8 CMF bases), & "part-no-longer-available" (windscreens, old hoses etc). Don't think there were any illegal connections this time, just many unstable ones. Putting a plate on a pin & axle should probably be illegal if it isn't. More photos available here! You will probably notice some stuff a bit better from other angles.
  5. Well how many "one ring"s do we have? I'm surprised that there aren't 3+ arkenstones...
  6. Good, because I originally thought it was ninja.
  7. Seems to me that almost all Lego themes these days fit the "Action Themes" forum. Maybe we should call this forum "History & Adventure" or "History & Fantasy" to placate those that argue against the fantasy castle & LOTR etc from being "historical".
  8. It's like they got lazy this year, because they thought no one would get to see them this time, what with their tightened up security (until just recently).
  9. Because smoking is cool, didn't you learn that back as a teenager? You won't die from it, you won't get addicted, (you won't stink from 500m away...) you'll just be really popular, especially with the opposite sex. That's the message every billboard, TV show & movie used to convey until it finally became considered unacceptable.
  10. Looks like I'll be busy in Jan/Feb whenever these hit. "Micro series" isn't a reference to the microfighters Lego sets, but to the cartoon (2D non CGI) Clone Wars TV series. The one where Mace Windu punched a whole army of droids in one hit. Ninja'd by you... haha
  11. TLG taking on a Blizzard licence. I can see it now: demon hunters & witch doctors fighting vile temptresses & demonic thralls in the depths of hell... okay, so Diablo is probably out of the question!
  12. You'd kinda expect that for an "on Earth" based theme. Clear or dark tinted windows. (Although, the not-from-Earth aliens used clear windows.) BORING! In space, everything is awesome, so windows should be cool colours!
  13. Oliviatron: product of Photoshop. That was my entry for the Eurobricks "Friendsify Your Avatar" contest a few years ago, since my avatar before that was a green Futuron. I think there were some cool "Friends in space" mocs for the contest too.
  14. That pic is step 9 from "the instructions" (eat a complete breakfast with all the special people in your life) ... so he's definitely seen it. Babies' heads are proportionally huge compared to adults!
  15. "What's a baby?" says Emmet? How about step 9...
  16. I think that Galaxy Squad used clear windows instead of coloured ones because of the 4 colour schemes. What coloured window would go with the grey + blue, red, green & orange? I think it was a better idea to use the same coloured window for all 4, so that the only difference in colour for the 4 teams was the main colour. Of course, coloured windows are better! Dark blue, red, yellow, dark green... mmm... Old news!
  17. I would prefer to see it built in real bricks, but I have 1 defence for using LDD: in the case where a part doesn't exist in the appropriate colour.
  18. The terms "classic" and "vintage" have different definitions depending on the person, I think. It would seem that some refer to the generic pre- Black Falcon / Lion Knights era (before 84) with one of those two terms, and up until the end of the smiley face with the other. But then some people might consider vintage castle to include up until KKI!
  19. Cutting & painting an old castle sword or uruk hai sword is about the only way that you are going to get something looking like a cricket bat - short of buying one. I don't expect to see one in CMF. Baseball may not be a more popular sport worldwide, but among Lego fans it is.
  20. That was my best Internet LOL in a while.
  21. At the moment, combine these two. When I get around to having my hair cut again it would more closely resemble something that only exists around the sides, but I think there's only old man grey hair pieces along those lines, and nothing resembling me. Short back & sides, with not very much on top .
  22. What, did they just dump it over the cliffs of Dover? "We don't want this stuff any more, send it to the French..." Try "been"
