  1. I didn't think the '86 Movie was that bad. Well, except Wheelie! ;-) And we all know Prime comes back eventually. Besides, I quite like Ultra Magnus. Sure, all the old favourites died- Ratchet, Ironhide, Wheeljack, Prowl, Windcharger, Prime, Megatron (kind of), Skywarp (kind of), Thundercracker (kind of), the Insecticons (kind of), Starscream and, in fact, pretty much every other original character. But Bumblebee and Jazz do escape from Unicron. Actually that's a point, what happens to them?
  2. The more I say, the further out the window my point goes. But I too use the clock on my phone sometimes. For example, I'll use my watch at school/college, but my phone in town. But I don't really count clocks as an extra as all phones have them. ... And it'll get stolen! I have neither... It is, but perhaps it's not universal.
  3. Maybe he was meant to link to this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XMPdDa90pLY...related&search= Beaker as C-3PO? Ha Ha, I love Beaker!
  4. It's time to put my own advice into practice. My S@H catalogue arrived in the post this mornimg, so I'll be working out what to buy when. Actually, I'm surprised that no-one did mention it, myself included.
  5. As an old, abandoned Lego City Police Station prepares for demolition, Jar-Jar carelessly ( :-P ) wanders across the site... Is it me or is he taking a certain satisfaction in this? ;-) EDIT: Pictures replaced with Maj uploads so they're still viewable after BS goes. Full view (Quite big. Oh, and the real model doesn't lean, it's just the camera angle) Gallery (when public)
  6. Exactly. I mean, it's not as if you can actually see anything on the tiny screen, and if you have a black-and-white phone, it's even worse. I think a PDA or Organiser is probably the only 'phone gadget' that I can stretch to seeing as a bit useful. Especially as it tends to be PDA then phone, as opposed to the other way round. I have a 'calender' on my phone. I don't really use it, as I tend to be able to remember all important dates, birthdays, etc. But I could see it as being useful. Another useless extra on my phone is the 'wallet.' Yes, my phone has a wallet. I think (I don't know I never used it) you can store info about bank balance, etc. What's wrong with checking at a cash machine or working it out?
  7. Well, the laughing during the film, yes we have that. But there's never been any cheering after the films I've been to. Which means it's a 'problem' with either a) the films I go to see or b)my area in general. Oh, I'm sure it is. I just wish I didn't have to, especially hearing all the feedback State-side. Still, I'll enjoy it all the more when it does come out. Godd things come to those who wait, after all.
  8. Yeah, a phone is a phone. It doesn't need an Mp3 player, I can buy one if I want one (which I don't). It doesn't need the Internet, I can buy a computer for that. It doesn't need a camera, I can actually buy a camera. Luddite on!
  9. Slightly embarassingly? Nokia 3510i That said though, I've had it three and a half years and it still works. So I must be doing something right.
  10. Hey, in alternate realities anything's possible.
  11. God, where do you live? That's never happened in my cinema. I would urge anyone who hasn't seen the film because of preconceptions to go and see it. I haven't seen it either and have to wait till the end of the month, so coming from me, it's impartial advice. Everyone has different opinions, and just because a bunch of critics loathed it, doesn't mean you will. Besides, most of these critics will be into 'talky' films with 'a message' not 'wow, look, a bunch of gigantic robots that transform into cars and stuff' movies. And it's Transformers. On a side note, and not strictly Transformers, there's a new 'transforming Citroen' advert out here in the UK. The first one we had a dancing robot, the second an ice-skating robot, and now a running robot. It's actually pretty cool, even if we don't see the transformation as clearly in this new one. That's always my favourite bit of any Transformers. Look out for it. EDIT: Found a few Transformers sales at Argos: Alt Ravage (2) now
  12. So people say, but I'm actually not. Another one I get a lot is "mosher," but I'm not one of those either. Ah, well.
  13. Hmm, strange. It was there one minute, then gone. It's back now though.
  14. Last Friday was my Year 11 Prom, so I was persuaded to have my photo taken before I left. It turned out to be a really good night, lots of fun, and most of my friends were there. Now, I would've smiled on this photo, but the sun was in my eyes, so I was having to squint slightly and 'furrow my brow.' This was actually the photo where it happened least. There was also a slight breeze, which explains why my hair seems to be more concetrated on the right side of the photo (my left shoulder), and why my tie is defying gravity. It's also not been sunny since, it's just rained heavily. In fact, it's just started agian. :-| Sorry if the photo is a bit big.
  15. I was a bit confused! Anything could happen to it!
  16. Actually, I'm kind of pleased there're no sets based on the film. I'm happy with the more generic, comics-orientated sets. Doing 'The Dark Knight' would mean specific sets, and less villains. Hopefully we'll see more classic rogues and allies next year. Here's for Harley Quinn and Jim Gordon.
  17. Not S@H, but perhaps worth a mention nonetheless. I went to Skipton yesterday, and noticed that in Toyworld/Toymaster/Toyzone (yes, all were present on price labels) 8894 Piraka Sronghold was marked down from
  18. Three episodes of Torchwood, according to the BBC. Well, if he tuned himself in to the matrices of the Archangel network, perhaps he managed to do the same to the cage. It took him a year to do it to himself, but maybe once he knew how, he could do it easily. Or perhaps the energy of thought and such 'wished' the cage away. Interesting. Wasn't expecting that. No, I don't mind that. My mum says that she'd have preferred a male companion, though.
  19. There's some new information about the new cartoon, and a few other titbits of interesting info. http://www.seibertron.com/news/view.php?id=10997 It seems there will be toys made of the new cartoon, which should be interesting. Definitely a new direction, but it could work. And we'll see a Magnus that isn't a Prime, and a Galvy that isn't a Megs. Yes! And Sideswipe and Sunstreaker will look different in robot, as they should. They're brothers not twins. So the Movie's out in the USA, and a few other countries for that matter. But we (I) have to wait till July 27th. |-/
  20. They're both available in the UK now. Batcopter Bat-Tank
  21. That Indy fig is so great. I love the satchel, and I can see that having as being quite a fan-favourite piece in the future. The new hat is good, and the printing on the torso and legs is nice. As far as the whip's concerned, it'd be good if it was posable, but it's a nice design anyway so I'm not bothered either way.
  22. I thought I should at least finish the Serie three set list. Blink
  23. Here's a good one: Buy the sets you want in an order that wil be beneficial to your wallet. In other words, which would suit your curent monetary situation better, buying a large set or buying a few smaller sets? Because you may be able to buy the other option later with, for example, birthday money. To do this properly, of course you'd have to guess how much money you'll have in however x amount of time, taking into account wage/pocket money, necessary buys (phone credit, food, clothes, magazines, cinema tickets, etc) and any other sources of money (family, birthday, Christmas, etc). Another good one is saying "if I buy this, how much money will I have left?" I've always found that helped me. And if there's somthing on sale with a really big discount: buy it!
