http://www.transformertoys.co.uk/content.p...ated+Video.html Here's a link to the video. It's great how everyone cheers for the Dinobots, then again for Starscream talking. Some of the toys are shown (in the video) as well, but obviously not as clearly as the pics you posted. It's definitely different, but in this case, I think that's a good thing. They all look pretty cool really. I actually really like Bulkhead. Don't know why, perhaps because he's 'the most different.' And Prowl appears to be a bit ninja-like. Oh, btw, Slag was the Triceratops in G1, so it's safe to assume that he is here too. EDIT: Some more pics from SDCC can be found here. There's pictures of new Movie figures (mostly repaints but not all), Robot Heroes, Animated and Universe/Classics 2.0. Sideswipe and Sunstreaker look cool.

Erm, yes, quite possible. Like I said it's a new direction. Still, I'll reserve jusdgement till I see the film.

Oh, here we go... Holodoc, I would like to seond your statement of not being able to wait for August 4th. X-D

Exactly what I was thinking. Perhaps it was 'joyeux anniversaire.'

The new Argos catalogue came out today, and I was surprised to find a distinct lack of Batman. So, either I wait till I can get to Preston to look in TRU, or I go ahead and order them from S@H now acting on the assumption that I won't want/need to buy anything else first. Decisions, decisions, decisions...

No, just the three mentioned. The total roll-call is as follows: City Heavy Hauler (half-price at

I feel I should oblige, seeing as how I am a Whovian. The Doctor is an alien, a Time Lord. He travels through space and time in his TARDIS (Time And Relative Dimension In Space). Time Lords live to incredible ages, and have the ability to regenerate, to change body when one wears out. Throughout his life, the Doctor has had a large number of companions who accompany him on his travels. The Doctor is currently in his 10th incarnation. Recently he survived a Time War in which his planet (Gallifrey) was destroyed. His travels have brought him into confrontation with a number of enemies, none greater than the Daleks. Other 'big' baddies include the Cybermen and the Master, another Time Lord. His TARDIS is shaped like a police box, because the camoflage mechanism failed. This 'cameleon circuit' should allow the TARDIS to change outward appearence, but is stuck. The TARDIS is (a lot) bigger on the inside, because it is 'dimensionally transcendal.' The Doctor is essentially an enigma. No-one knows who he really is, whether the Doctor is his real name or not. Each incarnation brings out a different facet of the Doctor's personality: the first was grumpy, the second childish, the third scientific, the fourth eccentric, the fifth youthful, the sixth arrogant, the seventh plotting, the eighth 'British', the ninth quiet, and the tenth energetic. The Doctor in incarnations 1-10 clockwise. Hope that helps, and if you need anymore just ask. :-)

Summer 2008, eh? Now I'm gonna have to buy two Lego games, this and Batman. This should be great. As long as it, and Batman for that matter, keeps the mix of good, solid gameplay and trademark humour (which, from the jewel/duck scene, looks likely) it'll be good. Is there supposed to be sound on the trailer? Because I don't have any. EDIT: Never mind, just found it on You Tube, with sound this time. The sound makes it even better!

Interesting. A new look, but still instantly recogniseable. Without his martial arts Batman wouldn't be Batman. Similarly, like you said, he needs his brains. He needs both to be the character we know and love.

... aaand having said that, I picked up the new Argos catalogue this afternoon, and found that the Deluxes are available. Probably only Wave 1 though. There's nothing much new of interest reall. There's Deluxes, Voyagers (8 to collect apparantly), Leaders and a few Alts left. But there's also Ultimate Bumblebee, Nightwatch Prime, and the Voyager Prime/Deluxe 70s Bumblebee 2-pack, along with a few of the 'other' items- Risk, Robot Fighters, Cyberstompin' Prime, etc. Optimash Prime is also available for the usual price of

Oh, you beat me to it! I'm off to pick up the catalogue in a couple of minutes. It's good to see the other Castle sets, which aren't available on S@H yet. Some Star Wars or Batman would've been nice though.

I caught a bit of a Newsnight review on the book last night. Essentially they all said that it was either "a bit rubbish" or "not quite as good as it could've been." Still, they're entitled to their opinions. I just disagree.

Not where I've been at least. But, that said, I've not managed to look in TRU yet, so you never know, they might have them there. We've got the Deluxes (Ratchet and Blackout), Real Gear, Legends wave 1, Cyberslammers, Protoforms, Optimash Prime, Cyberstompers and Voice Changer in 'regular' shops. I'll probably be going later in the week, wait till it's calmed down a bit. Besides, I've got The Simpsons to go and watch.

The person above me forgot about the edit he posted.

Very nice. *y* But, technically, that's more of a Ballista than a crossbow. ;-)

Actually, there's something I've always wondered about that fig: why does he have a nose?

The person above me either can't count or is out of date, as the number's now 6! :-P

Sorry to double post, but I felt that this deserved a post of it's own. I went to the library today, and found BW: The Gathering. It would seems that it's been there for a good 6 or 7 months, but in the Teenage section (as opposed to the Graphic Novel section) where I don't look. Strange, eh? Anyway, I read it this afternoon, and it's actually really good. It felt good to reacquaint myself with the TF era I grew up with, so there was a certain amount of nostalgia, not to mention trying to remember all the names (a task made all the more difficult with the inclusion of a few BW2 and BW Neo characters). But the story was good and all the characters/characterisation were nice, even if it was difficult to stop thinking of Razorbeast as Pumbaa from 'The Lion King' :-D The extra's were good as well, with a set of cover designs and a few pre-Earth sketches from Don (including Manterror and Spittor). On another note, my local paper has given the Movie 4 stars, and Asda have finally got the Movie toys in stock. With an offer of 'two for

Heck, recently we've even had Ninja Man-Bats >:-) They're actually the League of Assassins, which is probably what you're refering to. Most important and final? No. Important? Yes. Batman's always divided equal time to brains and brawn, so neither is more important. He's possibly the best martial artist in the world, being closely followed by Connor Hawke, Cassandra Cain and Lady Shiva. And he's in 'competition' with Lex Luthor as the cleverest, with Mr Terrific coming a close third.

Thanks Hewkii. Nice amount of info there, confirming both things we knew, things we suspected and things we didn't.

Seeing as how everyone else seems to be showing off their Daleks, I thought I'd present mine too. I made this Sec a while ago. For the end of Series 2, in fact. The other images in the gallery aren't brilliant, so I'll just show off this one. Oh, isn't self-promotion great... ;-)

Why thank you. I have to admit, I like the stereo. Simple, yet effective. If I do say so myself. Which I do! ;-)

What're your favorite and least favorite Star Wars minifigures?
Brainbox replied to Darthking623's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Overall favourite? Probably the Gamorrean Guard. But I also have a certain fondness for the Snowtroopers and Jango Fett. -
Went into two different Woolworths today, one this morning and one this afternoon. It seems that there's an offer on: spend over
