  1. Arrgghh, it's happened again! I'm away from the computer for a couple of days, and all hell breaks loose by way of news, and I miss everything. |-/ Anyway, onto the sets. The motorbike set's nice. It's small, probably affordable, and has two of the new dirt bikes in, which is good. The sidecar might be a little bulky, but I can always MOD it to my design (that I'll have up soon to show you) after I get it... which I will. The small temple again seems nice. Not much to speak of really, but nice. The truck set, I might have to get this too. Both the armoured car and the desert truck are very nice, and clearly period. Plus, the armoured car is pretty militaristic, so the design could be rehashed to make an Army MOC of some sort. The big temple, meh, I'm indifferent at the moment. I'll have to wait for bigger, clearer pics. Although the 'native' fig is an interesting inclusions. Good interesting, that is.
  2. I know, I thought it seemed a bit quick. In a good way, I mean. 8-
  3. Very nice MOC, that successfully captures the look and feel of Echo base, but keeps a sort of 'official' feel. Nice work.
  4. Ooh, nice find. The Mona Lisa is rather good, I have to say.
  5. Another fine interview Stauder. Unfortunately, all these interviews only makes me wish even more that I knew people properly. Yes he does.
  6. I suppose it'd sort of match up with the cinematic release date, with the UK being about a month behind the US. With the DVD release we'd be about a month and a half behind. Doesn't make it right though. I must've checked my two local Wilkinson's about 20 times recently, and found absolutely nothing by way of either Classics or Movie figs. I nipped into Woolies on my way into college yesterday, and the sole content of the TF section was a sole Movie Legends Ratchet, two Cyberslammers and a few Classics Minicons. The Legends Ratchet wasn't even in the right place... I did see an Arcee in a different Woolies a few weeks ago though, so be on the lookout.
  7. Another revealing and interesting review Stauder. It's always great to find out more about what makes people tick, besides their heart pumping blood round their body of course. Do you plan to interview every active member, or just a select few?
  8. It most certainly is. Welcome to EB, Paul.
  9. Another Sam, yay. :-P Welcome to EB. Hope you enjoy your stay.
  10. Why thank you. Oh, I just realised. I don't think I commented on your MOC. Sorry. :-$ It's a nice, simple MOC, that's clearly Prime but a very different Prime. Most Primes tend to be big and somewhat stocky (with the exception of Energon Prime, who was fat rather than bulky). The transformation is also very smooth, which I know isn't always easy, especially at such a small scale. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm off to look at your Echo base.
  11. Are you saying that people shouldn't make custom sets, or that people shouldn't make custom sets without a 'not a real set' notice? Well, I mean yeah, it could've been good. Some sort of mythology-based history line would've been an instant buy in my book. Another thing, look at the black baseplates. Even without the grainy photoshopping, they look just a little bit dusty. Actually, bear in mind that this is someone's MOC we're ripping to shreds.
  12. How about this one, this one or this one?
  13. I'm currently sat at home on here, as I don't have to be in college till 2:00. But I have to stay till 5:00, so I think I'd rather go in at 9:00...
  14. Apparantly, the UK release isn't till December 3rd. December 3rd! That's almost two months after the US! I thought about getting him the opther week, but passed in the end. I wish I had now. I might go back after my birthday (unles I can sneak in a hint) and see if I can find him. The TRU I went in the other week had loads of Commemerative figures, and loads of Cybertron figures, but not much in the way of Movie figures. Although I think they had quite a few Leader Primes. MP3 Soundwave looks so cool. As long as he's the blue version (I suppose you could call the white one Ultra Magnus for the sole reason he's a repaint), and as long as he's got the Rumble and Frenzy earphones. I'm not really an MP3 guy, but this is an exception.
  15. Wherever Yuppley may be. So, yeah, Happy Birthday guys. Hope you're all having good days. (Well, what else could I have posted? Um... if someone want's to jump in with a picture for VBBN feel free... :-D )
  16. Not a fan then? Nice work. It perhaps doesn't scream Bumblebee to me, but it's a very nice TF MOC that looks very posable and sturdy. Perhaps Swindle might suit better?
  17. I concur, Venom-Two is very nice. Colossus of War definitely echoes Striking Venom... probably because that's where most of the parts come from! And I guess Steel Rage is nice in it's general non-conformity with the rest of the EF mechs. Good work.
  18. It's not quite the same thing, but the UK catalogue says of 7690 MM Eagle Command Base: Um, well, the aliens are Martians. As in, the crystals come from their home planet. As in, the crystals belong to them. This seems to portray the aliens as selfish and petty, whereas really they're just a bit wobbley... (sorry, couldn't resist)
  19. Possibly. By that I mean probably. I'm not sure which yet though, or when. Maybe when Argos starts it's Christmas price cuts, I'll see if I can snap anything up. It's funny, I kind of missed out on all the original Castle stuff, it was just dying down a bit as I was growing up. I mean, it was still there, but not as prominently as, say, Town. So I suppose this is my first real Castle line. And, of course, not forgetting the lovely Dark Blue 1x1 slopes.
  20. Why, thank you. I thought we were getting four sets from the 'classic' films in Jan, then four more from the new film in Summer? I suppose you could count that as two waves.
  21. Just in the midst of MODing my Batcopter and Bat-tank, and my Batcave shelf. I've done the two vehicles, and the Cave might be this afternoon's work. I've also got a few other possible Bat-MOCs (see what I did there? ;-) ) lined up for a 'goody bag' sort of thread.
  22. Myself included. In fact, the sets and the game, along with the new film, will probably spur me on to watch the first three films again, something I've sadly not done for ages. I notice they're hardly ever on TV now, at least over here. Perhaps that means they are more of 'not-for-kids-now' sort of film (I for one hope not). To be fair, it wasn't really my point. I was just explaining someone else's. I dunno, they needed to do all the classic characters in Wave 1 (or should that be Year One? ;-) ) to draw people in. Sure that leaves less well-known characters for subsequent waves, but there're still some really popular characters missing- Harley, Gordon, green Ivy, Man-Bat, Oracle (as long as the fig lives up to the character *wub* sorry, that sounds fanboy-ish). There are four after all, and then there's Cassius Clay, Lady Clay's son. Oh, and that list, don't forget the Scarebeast version of Scarecrow. And some members of the League of Assassins.
  23. Perhaps near the end of the film, the make-up is somehow permanently seared to his face, making it his actual face. I think Batbrick meant 'natural' as in 'his real smile' as opposed to natural as in 'normal.'
  24. Yes. It was a ring. We didn't actually see outright that it was her, but the speculation is that it was. Hmm, the Rani was never really a big baddie. Sure, have her back by all means, but as far as 'evil Time Lords' go, she could never best the Master. Besides, I want the Meddling Monk back! :-D
  25. This looks very nice. It's unique enough to be different, but similar enough to fit with the reest of the buildings. The outside is very detailed. Do the 1x2s sit loose in the arch at the top, sandwiched in by one another, or are they attatched somehow.
