  1. Thanks Batbrick, Thok and Iamded. Glad to be of service. I actually built it fairly quickly yesterday afternoon...
  2. He's the only Prime/Primal that people actually remember, after all. I suppose you could have blue as a hidden colour, the comes to the fore a bit when all the little parts shift during transformation. :'-( Quite possibly, yes. After all, they won't re-release figures for new viewers in exactly the same form. I was thinking this morning (over breakfast in fact), why not get the Dinobots in? You could get round the dinosaur element by having them arrive on Earth in Protoform mode, then scan for alt modes... and something goes wrong. They accidentally scan a vehicle mode, and a nearby dinosaur skeleton, and because their bodies aren't triple-changer combatible, they lose their robot mode.
  3. Now all we need to do is cast a load of unknowns as the cannon fodder red shirts. :-D
  4. Well, exactly. Prime Cullen has apparantly hinted that there'll be another two movies, and he'll stay on as Prime! Which, frankly, is great news. Arcee I'm sure we'll see, seeing as how there're already some preliminary designs. In fact, itsn't it possible that the preliminary Ratchet design, the one where he was red, will be repurposed as someone like Red Alert or Inferno? I agree, Soundwave probably wouldn't work as a boombox, if they're sticking with the 'no mass-shifting' rule. That means he has to be some sort of comms thing or music thing. Perhaps some sort of military comms vehicle? To be honest, I'm not bothered as long as he's blu and looks a bit Soundwave-y. Oh yeah, that hadn't occured to me. Perhaps Barricade could be some sort of muscle car, or a souped-up racer. Hopefully, Jazz will come back too. |-/ I've got to wait for December 3rd. However, FF 2: Rise of the Silver Surfer and Spider-man 3 are out now (picking them up later this week), and I've got Green Wing and Police Squad that I've not finished watching, so I suppose that'll keep me occupied till then.
  5. Right then, here we go. I know it's been a while since the first part, but it's taken me ages to get round to photographing the new stuff. Then when I finally found time last week, the weather was so dull outside that I couldn't get enough light for even passable shots. First of, a small apology. There's not as much here as last time. I was hoping to have my Batcave done for part 2, but alas that wasn't to be. Stll, this time we've got: A vig, A fig, a piece of artwork, and some MODs. Penguin Looking at some pictures of the penguin, his umbrella always tend to be collapsed. So... Batman: The Killing Joke Specially for Batbrick :-) Here's another comic-based vig. This one's based on that scene from Batman: TKJ. I'm especially pleased with the way the BLAM came out. I may do a 'HA HA HA' follow-up, but that'll be for a later part. Lamp Joker/vase Gallery Art Not strictly Batman, but it's going in nonetheless. I was just doodling, and I came up with this: Wonder Woman, how Lego would do her. That's why she has no boots. Then of course, I realised that Lego wouldn't give her gauntlets/bracelets, and I had. Oh well, never mind. More artwork is planned, btw. MODs Arkham Asylum Okay, technically this isn't a MOD, it's a display, but never mind. Riddler Mr Freeze (and yes, that is a cup-ring, and no, I don't know where it came from) Bane See more of Riddlers jetpack here. Scarecrows Biplane Bomb gimmick removed, better controls put in. Controls Underside No reason other than being cool Gallery Bat-tank I always thought of the Bat-vehicles as having no (or at least little) offensive weaponary, so decided to MOD the Bat-tank into a sort of heavy Batmobile. RRRRRUMBLE! Cockpit (hope this doesn't hurt your eyes) New back Rear view Gallery Batcopter Just a few little changes, really. See how many you can spot! :-D Gallery Batmobile Not a new MOD, I just redid the photography. Dust, glorius dust! :-D Gallery Other links Bat-MOCs Bat-MODs Goody bag part 1 Coming soon Batman: Year One Bat-glider (which was supposed to be here, but I forgot to photograph it), Batcave version 2 (nearly finished), Arkham Asylum (still not started) and more art. Hope you like. ;-)
  6. Happy birthday guys!
  7. Yeah, that's what I was thinking. Okay, a new thread it is then. I've got the photography done, and I'm just about to start editing and uploading. Expect Bat-Moc 2 momentarily... Right, it's up.
  8. Yeah, I have a tendency to do that. In fact, all pieces that can go 'either way round' must go the way the instructions say. Don't ask me why, but I do it. I also do the thing with the 'Lego' logo on top of brickes a bit. Only on some things though, mainly the visible pieces. I have a sorting compulsion. Any little box, bag, tub, etc. gets nabbed before anyone else in the family can have it, then it's off to the control centre desk to sort a piece into it. It's not piece then box to fit, it's box then piece to fit. Like I said earlier, I keep all the boxes, and have built up (no pun intended) a large collection of bags. Models, figs, etc. also have to be absolutely perfect position-wise when going on display. But I suppose that doesn't really count as a compulsion.
  9. I didn't listen to it when it was on, but my mum did, so I've just found it on 'listen again.' Listen to it here at around about 17 minutes. Anyway, the program consists of people ringing in with 'genius' ideas. So this guy ringing in is talking about a way to solve the prison crisis: by giving prisoners Lego to build their own cell! :-D And they decided that it was 'genius.' Then at the end, it won!
  10. I might try a more classic 'now' design, seeing as how this is a tracked design from the future, and put it in a later update. Thanks, though. Bat-MOC part 2 will be up soon, I promose. I'll probably put it in this thread, unless you'd all reather it went in another. I actually found time to photograph the next batch of stuff th other day, but the rather dismal weather outside meant I couldn't seem to get very good lighting. I'll try again tomorrow.
  11. And Simon Pegg's been offered Scotty.
  12. The Sontarans back is pretty cool news. Hopefully, the 'new' design will be faithful to the original. Don't forget though that there's the supposed Children In Need mini-episdoe to come yet. Middle of November I think. And didn't some of the Pompeii episode get filmed on sets left over from the BBCs drama Rome?
  13. Really? Me too. Actually, no. I kept a large number of bags, then found them very useful when I was sorting. Some pieces went into bags while I was finding a suitable box, and some of the less-substantial sorts (winch pieces, electrics, etc.) are still in polybags. I've found them very useful actually. I've got enough to be going on with though, so they all go in the bin now.
  14. I did that as well, but now I too have had to start flattening my boxes (sounds painful), and they're all going down the side of my wardrobe. Well, half of them are. The other half are up in the loft, behind some shelves, which are behind large piles of bags with assorted rubbish, etc in. We really need to clear the loft... Thanks for another interview, which even had a special treat in that we not only learnt about one member, but two. Keep up the good work guys.
  15. Okay, so it seems production on TF2 is well underway, with the script almost ready (or whatever stage it's at now, it all seems to be moving so fast), and the effects work preliminaries being done, including, apparantly, "some characters who didn't make it into the first film." I think I heard that they're trying to get as much of the 'real' film done before the proposed actors strikes, so that at least the effects work can continue for the duration. Hopefully, now that the effects are "laid down" we'll get some more characters. It's be nice to see Shockwave and/or Soundwave, and I suppose Prowl is a must-have character. But how well the police car thing would work with Barricade already in existence I don't know. So, the same production staff are back. Good news, or bad? Personally, I think it's good. I loved the Movie, and if the second is 'even better' as promised, then it can only be good news.
  16. The start date for production on the new film's sort of been pushed forward a bit, so the proposed strikes won't hit as hard. Same with a lot of films it seems. Anyway, the new date is November 7th, I assume that's this year. See a full list here. I have to say, I've never been that bothered by TNG or DS9, and only a little by Eterprise. The best has to be by far TOS. My dad's got Season 1 on DVD, and when it gets back from my uncle who's borrowing it, I'm going to start making my way through it from the beginning. It's funny, my dad only ever seems to watch 'City on the Edge of Forever' which is a classic I have to admit, but the only one to watch? He also can't remember what it's called... Anyway, back to the film for a moment. Hasn't Heroes' Zachary Quinto been cast as Spock? That's interesting, especially considering the part he plays in Heroes, the mysterious Sylar, who's just so different. Apparantly, the film has a December 08 release. I can't wait.
  17. Erm... yeah, I see what you mean. Perhaps the doors can sort of slide forward a little, to give them room to swing up. Because, I don't see a gap either...
  18. ... while someone else hundreds of miles away was opening their set at the exact same moment, and discovering that theirs is missing a polybag of mainly minifig parts. ;-) But no, I don't think it's ever happened to me though. I have had a few instances of some 'odd' choices for spare parts, including some that aren't even featured in the set. *wacko*
  19. Got my coursework first draft back in English. Quite appropriately for the time of year, it's a horror story. I'd share it, but it's coursework, so... you know. Had a 'microbiology' test in Biology after that, which wasn't nearly as fun as it sounds... |-/ Tomorrow and Friday we get the day off though, as we've got 2 'student study days.' Can't complain. Also put my name down for a Cambridge University visit we're going on in November. There are 4 names on the list, and that's including mine. Tonight I'm going to do a bit of building, then watch Heroes on BBC2. My God, I am loving that show! *wub* EDIT: Oh yeah, I forgot to say. Last night I had a really bizarre dream. Not bizarre in the sense of what happened, but bizarre in that the people in my dream were all EB members. Now, considering I've never actually met any of you, and I don't really know what you all look like, that's pretty odd. *wacko*
  20. The sales and deals seem to be rolling in these past few days. Anyway, Argos has this year's Exo-Force
  21. Phew, I guess I managed to catch them just in time. But, honestly, you think Lego would be happy to have publication early, so the buyers get caught up in the hype. I know we say this every year, but the point still stands. All they manage in doing by withdrawing the images is set back people deciding what to purchase.
  22. Like a sort of 'mini-BP' but without the actual battle. I suppose there's a lot of scope though, seeing as how there're so many different figures, themes, etc, plus there're MOC figs as well. Really, you can do whatever you want with them, as long as they fit the fig in some way, so the only limiting factor is your own creativity. The number of pieces you own doesn't really make any difference either, as these're supposed to be simple, with a minimum of pieces. Thanks Joe :-)
