  1. Bit late, but I hope you had a good day. :-)
  2. I've heard that they're okay, but they're not TFs, and they're completely out of scale with both each other and TFs... moreso than TFs are I mean.

Well, it's always good to see purple. *wub* A very nice MOC, and the other stuff in your gallery is pretty nice too.
  4. A belated 'Happy Birthday' to the birthday-ees. I would've posted yesterday, but was travelling home and so missed the joyous occasion(s). :-$
  5. Yes. Of course he can. Nice idea. It works well, and it's good to see that 'old parts' don't necessarily mean 'bad parts.' Pretty cool, I have to say. Anyway, nice vig. It's definitely something grounded in classic Batman imagery, as well, with the Caped Crusader/Dark Knight Detective swooping down from the rooftops to dispense justice. The use of chains, and the mixing of bley and grey add to the grittyness and grime that is Gotham. Good work.
  6. Kinda cute, in their own way.
  7. :-P Really? Wow, I really have to go again. I last went when I was about 9 or 10, and while there where obviously some surprises to be seen, they'll all have changed. Perhaps the next Windsor event... Honestly, I think one of the best thing about TLC is their sense of humour. This, the little tricks in sets, and the LSW games.
  8. Today, I travelled down to my grandparents with my family. The journey was dreadfully boring. I finished my copy of Batman Legends which I'd picked up before we set off within an hour... then we got stuck in a traffic jam. We eventually reahed a sign that said 'end' despite not having passed anything which would cause a traffic jam *wacko* Still, we got there eventually. We also passed a ar that was sat at the side of the road with loads of 'highway police' cars sat round it. As we passed noticed that he bonnet was missing, as was the front-right tyre, and the front of the car was all scorched and burnt. Poor family... Anyway, gotta go. The casserole's ready. *y*
  9. If you mean here, yeah sure. It's supposed to be a goody-bag after all, mixing a load of different stuff, so I don't see why other builders can't feature as well. Well, I'm currently at my grandparents, but I might do a bit tomorrow night when I get back home, see if I can't get it done for next week. Yes and no respectively. 8-|
  10. Yeah... I know what you mean. I was intending to only get the motorbike set, because it's the cheapest, and it's got an Indy fig. Now I want at least the truck chase and the temple set as well. And it doesn't help that I watched the film the other day. I think I'm inclined to agree with you, but I do like the look of the Micro sets, the truck more than the pis though. Then again, I'm a bit of a loset Micro-fan :-D I don't remember anything myself. It just srt of appeared. In fact, I still don't know what it is!
  11. There's the Everglades, parts of which are located in and around Miami. ;-)
  12. Thanks. Yeah, that was the main thing that bothered me. Partly because Bats has a 'no guns' rule, and partly because, well, I don't really like them. X-D
  13. TRU UK has the mini-fig ISD (not the UCS one, so don't get your hopes up) for
  14. You seem to think I want to... >:-)
  15. I've taken the official Batcave set, MODed it a bit, then built extra levels, and spread it across a set of shelves. Version 1 was done a while ago, and can be seen here. Version 1 is being rebuilt to accommodate the Bat-tank and Batcopter, along with a few other bits. There's not that much more to do, I just need to build a walkway with a few 'offshoots/platforms' above the tank on the bottom level. Also, try to ignore the other bits of shelf decor ( ;-) ) hanging around.
  16. I made it perfectly clear that that was not-- oh, no I didn't actually. :-$
  17. On Thursday night I watched FF2: Rise of the Silver Surfer, which I'd picked up in town in the afternoon. As good as it was the first time I saw it, nice level of comics-orientation, and my dad enjoyed it despite not being familiar with the characters. Then on Sunday night I watched Raiders of the Lost Ark which my dad had bought (in a box set) for
  18. I think I came across this the other day, and I have to say, it's pretty cool. In fact, I really think I'm gonna have to try this. I saw Leader Brawl in TRU today, and I was sorely tempted. Then I came to my senses... :-D Honestly, Woolies are really russhing through TF stock. They've now got Final Battle Jazz and Longarm (who I keep calling Payload *wacko* ). I mean, talk about quick!
  19. Not too much though, we still want plenty of action. >:-)
  20. Picked up two new LSW t-shirts in GAME yesterday, Luke "I am a Jedi like my father before me" Skywalker, and Boba "You're worth a lot to me" Fett. Wore the Fett today, and actually got a 'cool' from someone. Turns out, she may be a budding AFOL. As in, she used to have Lego, then stopped, but just at that moment fancied some. I think I might work on her a bit, see if I can add another to cause :-D Interestingly, the receipt spelt it "Bobba."
  21. The special Christmas mini-catalogue is also out. Not really anything special Lego-wise, but the Castle is
  22. Mmm, purple. *wub* Nice find, thanks mate. I actually quite like these. Nice pieces, generally nice colours and mostly good designs. The tank I like except for the giant back wheel, and the transforming weapons (I wonder where that idea came from... *cough*Transformers Targetmasters*cough*) need a little work, but I guess I could MOD those easily enough. It's good to see Keiken doing something for a change I guess, opther than getting all paternal and grumpy with everyone. :-D As for pieces, well, lot's of nice pieces in lots of nice colours. New grilled slopes, troll swords, yellow Viking horns/teeth (in abundance), red scythes, green pieces, those new spike/slope-things, etc. Not perfect, but they could be with a few MODs. I tell you, the news just keeps flooding in, and it is getting better and better every time.
  23. Yes. And thank you. :-)
  24. Yeah, I suppose, I hadn't considered that. Unless you do a night-camo blue, but then he wouldn't look right any time other than night. Soundwave is probably one of the most recognisable characters, meaning that it'll be even harder to get a good look for him. But, that said, all you really need to do is give him some form of cylindrical shouldre cannon, a good head likeness, and some sort of chestplate, and he could look at least a little Soundwave-esque. Actually, I remember seeing a fan-design a while ago, of a Movie Soundwave. I'll go and have a look for it. *Back shortly* Right, back. I couldn't seem to find the exact one I was thinking of, but I did find this one, which is close enough to what I remember actually. The Grimlock one, yes. It was the people maintaining the (fake) Sector 7 website messing around. Not that I'm complaining, I thought it was pretty cool. And if we do get the Constructicons, I so want Long Haul to look like that. *wub*
