DC Superheroes 2015 Rumors & Discussions
Numbuh1Nerd replied to Ezekiel2517's topic in LEGO Licensed
Does anyone have a better picture of those armbands? They look really rad! I thought Beast Boy was going to be the highlight of that set, but Starfire rules! I found this picture of Robin from the Jokerland set, and here you can easily tell that it's Teen Titans Go! Robin, specifically. The R is much more in line with that version than the Teen Titans Robin, whose R is much simpler and more direct. EDIT: That's better! -
Maybe this head and this hair in black? There aren't any black legs with skull knee pads like that, but you might try these, these, and these. Hope this helps!

Ah! Yes! I'll probably use the Juniors head then. I much prefer Dick to be smiling. Is there any word on the Juniors Batman set leaving circulation or anything else that might knock the price down a bit? I'd just be buying the set for the Batman and Robin minifigs, and I don't want to spend $30(?) on just that if I don't have to. -

Isn't there another head that uses that same mask with different facial expressions? -

Out of 16 figures, I could deal with 3 or 5 of them being regulars if it meant characters like Power Girl, Booster Gold, Stargirl, and the Question would be included, too. That would still leave us 11 to 13 spots for new characters and costumes. Make it like those Scribblenauts vinyl figures: include some variant of the big names like Batman and Superman and then load it full of other fan favorites like Deadman, Swamp Thing, and Mister Miracle, maybe taking the opportunity to capitalize on DC properties in a bit more of a low-key (or low budget) fashion by including guys like Constantine, Firestorm, and Hawkgirl. -
The torso on White Canary's going to be tough, since nothing I've found is solid white enough, has the right feeling, or the female designation, all of which are pretty important in that design. I'd suggest blonde mermaid hair for her, though. As for Rip, I'd try any of these three torsos (1 2 3) and either of these two for the head (1 2). Bearded heads tend to look older, so you're going to want to be very careful not to make him look like he's in his 40s. I'd try either this or this for hair, in Medium Dark Flesh. Try you're best to find legs that match the trenchcoat pattern. Hope this helps!

Okay, I figured out my problem! Turns out that if you're under the age of 21 (or maybe 18) you don't get that option. The struggles of being 16 on the Internet. Oh, and the heads out of stock -_- Thanks for the help, though, you guys!

Hate to be a bother, but I don't see that option anywhere. Just those three I mentioned above.

I feel like DC specifically could benefit from a CMF series. I know Marvel can't, since their action figure licensing is tied up somewhere else, but Lego's had no problem giving DC focus when it comes to merchandising outside of sets. Marvel hasn't had any of those clocks or keyrings and such, and is getting its first S@H exclusive later this year, not to mention the starring role DC's gotten in the Lego Movie and Dimensions while Marvel was nowhere to be found. DC could probably do it if they wanted to. -
Those arms aren't any longer than the usual ones? Here's some heads I found that might make good options: http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=3626cpb1240 http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=3626bpb0062 http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemIn.asp?P=3626bpb0293&in=S http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=3626bpb0243 So where is it specifically? Is it "My new set has a missing piece", "My new set has a broken piece", "A piece broke while building", or something else I'm missing?

Does the Replacement Parts stuff charge? I don't know how comfortable I am effectively stealing from Lego, especially with such a rad service.
-
I checked in the Pick a Brick section and couldn't find it. Is that not the right place, or is it a regional thing? That visor might be fun to work with, with the minifig I have in mind for it. Neat!
-
Aw man, $50 for that head? I guess some of the other minifig parts are pretty rad, though. Nothing specific in mind for them, but spare interesting parts are always nice. So is the head double-sided? It looks like he has a visor thing going on in the picture.

What set is that head of Colossus's in? I need it for someone else.

Really digging both of those Metallos! If only there was a flesh head like that..

I could only pray that we'd get enough of the Justice League to resemble something closer to JLU or Batman: The Brave and the Bold. A good variety of fun B and C list heroes like Booster Gold, Stargirl, and Vibe. LB3's batch of heroes is by far and away the best way to go for them, but with the DCCU finally taking off next year, we're not likely to see too many comic-based sets for awhile. Here's hoping we at least get Atom, Shazam, Red Tornado, and Hawkgirl before long. It's not like anybody but Hawkgirl needs new molds anyway. -
I considered Deadshot, but didn't want to un-justify my one act of non-purist customizing lolI'll definitely try it now, though.

I figured the mis-colored gem was simply a means of spoiler protection. The minifig really does bare a stronger resemblance to the concept art than the finished version, though. What a shame. -
Anybody have any ideas that use parts from the Fencer minifig from the latest batch of CMFs? I've got 3 of that guy already and I've gotta find some use for him.

Portal 2 is still one of the best 360 games out there, and it was a big merchandising cash cow. Not to mention the memes. I'd be more worried about kids recognizing Back to the Future. I don't think these figures selling is going to hinge on kids recognizing the characters, though, because 1. if it looks cool, they'll still buy it and 2. lots of these are going to be more focused on the older nerds anyway. What better way to sell these things than by providing figures and levels for a wide range of nerdiness? Sure, kids are probably gonna be responsible for a lot of the Chima and Ninjago stuff selling, but now their parents and all the rest of us will buy the Doctor Who, Simpsons, and Back to the Future stuff and be just as hooked as the kids. I don't think they'd make new molds for the Doctor and Chell without some intention of making Doctor Who and Portal sets, knowing Lego. We're definitely getting a Doctor Who set, thanks to Ideas, at least. Maybe Lego heard the fans who supported all those Portal projects during the Cuusoo days? Perhaps some of the other franchise-based projects that failed will see the light of day through dimensions? Could we see a Big Bang Theory team pack at some point? We could easily see the more recent Doctors show up in sets, and then maybe the older Doctors could make for good exclusives for pre-orders, online shopping, DVDs, and maybe even Comic-Con. I'd say the places they take the Tardis should probably stay within the realms of the show as opposed to just an Egypt set with the Doctor and a Cyberman thrown in there.

Here's my crack at Starman. It's far from perfect, but I figured the idea was different enough to share. Ooo, hey! Anybody have any ideas for completing the Star-folk with a Ted Knight Starman? Maybe even a Thom Kallor Starman, so long as it isn't just solid black?

One's a collectable minifig, there's another in one of the Monster Fighters sets, and I think one coming in the Scooby-Doo theme.

Okay, Hank Pym HAS to shave at some point in this thing. There is no way they'd use a head that just doesn't work like that when they have twenty dozen old bearded man heads at their disposal. I'd say he shaves and puts on the Ant-Man suit at some point near the film's climax. -

Am I the only one not at all bothered by the fact that Cap doesn't have a helmet? So it seems that Ant-Man and Vision (as well as a number of others) are coming back for Civil War next year, so I wouldn't be too particular about getting the Vision set from this wave. There's also a chance we'll see Red Hulk, as General Ross will be appearing in Civil War and is still involved in Hulk and the Agents of SMASH. -

Are we certain they don't intend to replace those heads with better ones at the official release? I'd say there budget for Ant-Man is a little lower, though, with how little excitement there is for it.
