  1. Why would it matter what the show is rated? It's just the character design, and it's not even a set, literally just the figure. They'll be putting something similar out in a year or two anyway.
  2. *exhales* You guys had me going there for a second! Here's hoping, though!
  3. I would be totally okay with MCU Daredevil was the preorder exclusive. This would be the best possible place to do that before Infinity War. A comicbook Daredevil really should show up in a Doc Ock-esque set soon. There is just too much hype for this for Marvel for Lego not to hop on board.
  4. Wait, are you guys saying that we have confirmed Portal sets?? Like that is actually Chell from Portal in that picture?? Because I was shocked to see Wizard of Oz stuff show up and if there is Portal involved it would make all of my dreams come true??
  5. There was a Lightning Lad leaked awhile ago, but we haven't heard anything else on that since. Trickster's coming to a book or something, based on leaked photos of the fig in that sort of packaging. That's it, though. EDIT: Darn! Beat me to it!
  6. Maybe that purple Zurg armor and an Extremis soldier's head..? It would be nice to get some detail on the legs, but I don't have anything for that off the top of my head.
  7. Tru #hawkguy I would say that Klaw is going to be a if not the big bad of the Black Panther movie, so I doubt he'll be an SDCC exclusive. We may be waiting until Black Panther comes out to get him, but we'll get him in a set.
  8. I could see them re-releasing the fig somehow next year. Deadpool's a big money maker in merch for Marvel, and I'm sure he's the one exception to the Marvel's "No More Mutants" rule for merchandising. It'd be dumb of them not to do it at this point. I hope they do, anyway, because I had to sacrifice my Deadpool fig for the sake of purist figures, and I really miss him.
  9. The Batmobile turning into the Batwing would really take me out of it. That's such a toy company thing to do. It's like if they gave Ben Affleck a Sonar Suit or something too. I'm pretty confident that it was the Batwing, though. I don't know why any other jet would be attacking small-time criminals like that, and it doesn't look like anything the military would use anyway. I could see the "FALSE GOD" Superman statue just being a regular Superman minifigure in gray or silver with that painted across the chest. Seems unlikely, but it would make a rad exclusive.
  10. Not sure how relevant this is, but can we just take a moment to appreciate how absolutely, chillingly, wonderfully incredible that leaked Batman v Superman trailer is? If you're waiting until it releases officially next week, just let me say that if you didn't have faith in this movie, you will.
  11. Given this is the Marvel thread, I assume Disney bought the rights to Thomas and now he's an Avenger? EDIT: OH. Just watched the trailer. I gotcha. What a dream set that would be: either minifig-sized Yellowjacket with a micro Ant-Man on a train set, or a an absolutely massive Yellowjacket with a minifig-sized Ant-Man on a regular-sized Thomas the Tank Engine! I'd buy thirty, either way!
  12. I really like the new GG. It's not spot on, but it's pretty cute and it fits well enough. It's a little insane that it took this long to get Spidey's arch-nemesis without a tv-or movie-specific excuse, but all in all, I'm satisfied. His glider, on the other hand, is making me bright green.
  13. Is she actually in one of the character or story packs? I know there's a Wizard of Oz level or something, but I haven't seen her on sale physically anywhere. I figure if their intentions were to introduce new figures this way, they would have done that just a little bit more than what they have, maybe with a new figure for one of the existing franchises represented.
  14. What do you guys think the odds are that we'll actually see new characters through Lego Dimensions, though? So far all of the packs for sale have been pre-existing characters, and new figs can really sell a set.
  15. So Daredevil sure did land with a splash. What a show so far! We've gotten leaked pictures of the red suit for the show, too. After watching a dude slam a metal spike through his head and another getting beaten to death with a car door on screen, however, I kinda doubt we'll be getting sets for this one. I'd say, though, there are a few ways we could see the Man Without Fear in minifig form: 1. A loose tie-in set, based on the comics (like the Cap set with Red Skull) 2. A loose tie-in set for the Defenders when that comes out 3. Throwing him into a set with some of the Avengers 4. A Civil War or Infinity War set, if he shows up in at least one of them. No word on him being in Civil War yet, but I'd be shocked if he wasn't part of Infinity War with the other Defenders. It may not be useful, but it sure is adorable! I don't mind the legs too much. If they did include Gobby's boots, I think it'd be too much purple and not nearly enough green. Still, I'd say this isn't the last we see of this version of Green Goblin, so maybe he'll have boot printing down the line like Spider-Man.
  16. Some of the better ones I've seen use the Deatheater mask head from Harry Potter, a red hood, and red robes or a red cape. Torsos vary a lot and are mostly about personal preference. The clone trooper armor with the red markings and belt look pretty good to me. Please tell me that with all the hype surrounding the new Daredevil show that some of you guys have some of Matt's friends and foes to share? I'm desperate for a good Foggy Nelson, Kingpin, and Daredevil, preferably in that rad black suit. I was looking around to see if I could find one of those skateboard helmets in black like the one I used in my Daredevil concept photo on Flickr, but I didn't see any on the shelves.
  17. I've seen some people use the Racer X torso for her Young Justice Invasion look. There isn't much out there for her traditional white top though.
  18. I've been wanting to make Guardian for awhile, too. Such a rad design. The hard part's the head/helmet, and the best I had at any point was using Iron Fist's head to make Jim Harper's Guardian instead, but that wouldn't quite look right, either. Any ideas you come up with, feel free to share 'em.
  19. That Jay Garrick is unbelievable! I just have to make it!
  20. A $20 set with two new characters and a Batman variant isn't quite as out there as a cheapo army builder with the Flash and 4 colorful, unique bad guys that could justify a larger set. The Ultron drones are mostly uniform and can't really carry a whole set on their own backs, but Lego can easily make sets for Mirror Master, Reverse Flash, Weather Wizard, and Heatwave individually and make much more cash from it. Boy I hope so. This new animated movie is going to be the perfect opportunity to do a '66 Batman set, and it would make sense of why they didn't do it last year during the 75th anniversary (well, aside from the small SDCC exclusive set and the marginally related Juniors build)
  21. Those sound just...so, so wonderful That Flash set would be almost like an army builder set, like the Iron Man vs. Ultron guys. I doubt Lego would ever put 3 brand new desirable figures in one cheap set, though.
  22. There are 5 sets in this latest wave, so what if... -A Batman set, with Alfred, Batwoman, and Killer Croc. (Sewer build with a Bat-skiff or something) -A Flash set with Captain Boomerang, Kid Flash, and Heatwave. (Bank robbery, maybe?) -A Superman set with Bizarro and Lois Lane. (Daily Planet?) -A Wonder Woman set with Cheetah and Steve Trevor. -A Titans set with Raven, Aqualad, and Speedy fighting Brother Blood or someone.
  23. Great one, Nomad! I'll definitely wind up using that combo if I can get the head and hair for Cap.
  24. I just watched the latest episode of the Flash, Tricksters, which is unbelievably fun! No spoilers here, but if you haven't heard, it features Mark Hamill reprising his role as the Trickster (the James Jesse variety) from JLU and the 90s Flash, as well as the live-action debut of Axel Walker's Trickster. I mention all of this because I thought it'd be fun to see some varying Tricksters (especially today of all days, I love DisneyTM! Day), quite possibly rooted in the TV show if you feel like it!
  25. I would love that. Just seeing how Lego would handle the Big Hero 6 guys, even just two of them, would be so worth it. I love their character designs, but translating them to Lego would be challenging.
