Ooo! That would work really well! And she comes in a small set! Now if only there was a flesh head similar to Batgirl's with glasses.... -

Is that the same color as Batgirl's hair on the cowl? I'd really like to get Babs to match Batgirl in that sense. -

Seriously though, how many Avenger's Towers did that take? At least two, right? -

I thought the male hair was made the same as the regular line, and the female hair was rubber? Of course, that's just from looking at them, since I don't have any of those sets. (I'm considering getting some Elves sets for the hair, and a Friends set if I can find a good hairpiece for Barbara Gordon) That piece wouldn't be too bad (although it looks a little outdated in my opinion). It feels pretty Supergirl-esque to me. Thor's might be a bit of a reach, though. -

What hairpiece would you use instead? I don't mind the piece they used on her (I do on plenty of other female heroes) but I'd be open to trying some stuff. -

It varies. There's one like that, one that's black and purple on either side, one that's more like BB's torso, and a red, black, and yellow one that DC used when they thought that they didn't have the rights to Plastic Man (which they did, funnily enough). -

I intend to get both, hopefully. The Milano is a great design, and it's the only set with the 2 Guardians I'm missing, as well as Ronan. Plus I wanna get some use out of the stickers that came with the Rocket polybag, because they don't so that too often. The Quinjet is included in my plan to get all the Avengers in the least amount of sets possible, since I need Black Widow and Vision. I'll probably keep the build in tact for awhile, since it doesn't seem too bad and it's a pretty nice staple of the MCU. I'll probably have to dismantle Knowhere, the Stark Mansion, and the Hulk Breakout to make room for either one, but it's about time. I only really left the Hulk Breakout because of Galaga guy, anyway. -

I was thinking black sticks or blue lightsaber blades. I think I mostly want all the Ultrons just to be able to make the perfect combination. I'm not sure I'm fully on board with any of the designs (I'm shooting for the one closest to the comics, since the movie one creeps me out in all the wrong ways) but all the parts oughta be there. Saaaaay, I wonder if the marketing department at Marvel had anything to do with making Ultron, the guy with an endless number of different bodies, the big bad in Avengers 2? -

It's not a matter of "sexy". It defies every law of sense and gravity in its design for the sake of turning her into a sex object. It certainly doesn't help that her character didn't escape the grounds of sex object much in the writing, either. The new costume is much better. It's both sensible and visually appealing. It feels like Starfire, which doesn't require her to be as close to naked as they can get. Starfire is the kind of character you can do that with, though. She's never really had a costume with too much weight on it to change. Look at Wonder Woman. No matter how many times they try, they'll never be able to go anywhere beyond slight changes to the traditional suit. Heck, even giving her pants stirred up problems. Starfire's costumes have never been too attached to her, both literally and figuratively. -
Honestly, my policy has always been "if there's a clear purist analog to whatever parts you're using, it's purist enough for the forum to benefit". If you can't shell out a couple hundred dollars for a legit Deadpool figure, using a knockoff head is fine, since we know we can use the official Deadpool head for it. It doesn't hurt to state that, though, and making it a habit is a bad idea. Some of my figures use technically non-purist trench coats made from capes, but I figure that you can make the figure without it or just using the cape if you want, and the principle is the important part. All in all, this feels like semantics. We could just as easily argue that the excellent Galactus and Strongman builds shouldn't be allowed because they aren't technically figures, but we shouldn't, because that's not the point of the thread. Just my opinion, though.

Oh man, I had an idea for Ultimate Black Widow a couple months ago! Maybe this hair (medium dark flesh would be better), Venom's torso backwards (I was looking at this outfit), red arms, and maybe a red short cape cut into a jacket if that's not too non-purist for you. Catwoman's head and plain black legs, of course.

Woah, that sounds intriguing, to say the least!

They HAVE to know how awful those costumes are, they just have to. I can't possibly buy that they made those costumes without the intent of retconning them out soon. As awful as they are, though, I'd be interested in seeing how they'd look as minifigures. (Maybe we have even MORE perfect SDCC figures!) -
That batch is a sight for Thor eyes I'm glad somebody with a Falcon minifig made Sam Wilson's Captain America! I love his costume in the comics. That's a pretty good Wiccan, too! I've been wanting to make some Young Avengers, but most of them are really hard to get quite right (Iron Lad especially).

Hmm. My Wal-Mart had the X-Men set on clearance, and they're all gone now. I didn't see the Milano, though. I'll have to check Toys R Us next time I'm there.. -

Even a brick-built Clayface would work okay, although I'd prefer a bigfig. Clayface hasn't really gotten much attention in general, lately, so it would make a bit of sense that they haven't made him yet. -

If we're going to see Silver Surfer any time soon, I'd say it'd be in a Guardians of the Galaxy animated set. Otherwise, it's a matter of the Fantastic Four movie and the next X-Men bombing so unbelievably hard that they hitch up with Marvel like Sony did. Are Skrulls specifically in the FF movie rights? They've been doing stuff with the Kree and the Inhumans on Agents of SHIELD lately, and there's been mention of the Kree's involvement in a very massive war against a currently-unnamed enemy. Depending on the direction this new series takes, we may see some animated Skrulls, but I'd be interested in seeing what Marvel would do in live-action with them. Were the Skrulls the alien race that Whedon wanted for Avengers but couldn't have? Because that's starting to sound familiar. Marvel_Geek, try that stuff over here at the Purist Superhero Customs thread. As an aside, I'd be interested in seeing a classic Hasselhoff-era Nick Fury minifig. -

Unikitty and the Bard? I didn't hear about that, I don't think? Last year Lego managed to stay pretty safe about their exclusives, so maybe this year we'll get out okay. Those costumes are so hideous. If they looked like they had any intention of keeping those suits around, I might laugh at the irony of Lego just putting out the majority of their DC characters in New 52 outfits, but these things are just waiting to be retconned. It's like the Azrael Batsuit happened to the whole League -

Oh man, can you imagine if we get out of this with, like, Carrie Ferris from Man of Steel and Nurse Joker from the Dark Knight? That would just be perfect! Those would be the most perfectly irrelevant figures! Collectors would have their thing, since they'd be neat figures worth having, but they're irrelevant enough for those who can't get them to be cool with it! -

A bigfig Rhino would've been nice, but otherwise we would've had to shell out $40 for a few girders on sand-colored base plates. It's something interesting to build. -

I don't know if they could get the printing right for Teen Titans Cyborg, since they'd have to use the Cyborg headpiece they released in the Javelin. Speaking of SDCC, it's only a few months away, and we are in a slump. Anybody up for the scariest speculation of the year? -

Ra's just doesn't seem as fun to me, and I really didn't have any ideas for him. I kinda doubt Lego would make so many new figures, anyway, and he's not quite worth the spot to me. Not to mention, Ra's would almost require a locale-based set, and it's wishful thinking that we'd even get two of those in one wave. -

Does the perfect Scarlet Witch hairpiece come in that shade of brown? I assume we're all in agreement as to what piece that is, the movie April O'Neil hair? What about the blue magic-y bits? Are those available in red? Because I really like the piece for that, but the red would look so much better. Also, does that transparent stick bit come with the set, or did you just use that for photo purposes?
