Marvel Superheroes 2015 Rumors & Discussion
Numbuh1Nerd replied to CorneliusMurdock's topic in LEGO Licensed
I doubt that, when they put it in a set specifically based on the movie Ant-Man. Especially when two different toy companies are doing the same thing like that. -
I second that request! His head is so rad, but I just can't find anyone to use it on! I'd say red is best. My choice would be this or this.

Haha, yeah, no, those costumes are designed to fail. Every last one of them is specifically awful so they can easily return to the status quo. Their retcon costumes. (Like Gordon's gonna stay Batman for long XD) -

I know there were supposed to be some flashback sequences featuring Hank's Ant-Man, so either it's that or perhaps he comes in for the final showdown or something. I'm kinda excited to find out, tbh! -

Well, if we're talking New Gods, might as well as toss in Orion and Mr. Miracle. I second all that, but I raise you Blue Beetle, Booster Gold, Atom, Black Canary, and Red Tornado. Realistically, though, I don't think Bizarro and Reverse Flash are too far out of the question. Those seem like they're going to happen at the next opportunity. After that I'd say Guy Gardner and Cheetah are the next most likely, and the likes of Mxy I wouldn't bet on for a few more years. I'd say if we get Parademons and Desaad, it'll be in the tie-in sets for the Justice League movie. -
That cute little dopey face? Nah. I'd just go with a regular skull if I were you. Maybe the Taskmaster head.

I'd say that whatever exclusive we get this year, we'll get it in mass later on. Lego finally seems to realize the damage of doing exclusive figures like that. I think they ought to just do what Funko does with their Pop Vinyls at Comic Con and just do metallic or glow in the dark or what-have-you variants on existing figures. People will still buy them for the sake of noticeable exclusivity, but we won't care because our collection will live on just fine without a silver Green Lantern. -

Yeah, I really wish I could get my hands on that old Batman. That's my favorite Batsymbol and it looks so good. -
I saw a lot of people just using the older evil skull for Graves to pretty good effect, if you can't manage to get that piece.

I'd hope we'd get better versions of previous characters over time, since Lego will probably want to keep certain characters on shelves at different times. They'll eventually reissue someone like Falcon when he becomes important again and probably make some modifications to the figure if they have the budget for it or a new piece available. I see this more as a problem with X-Men and DC stuff, though, like Cyclops could really use a new, better design but I doubt we'll see that any time soon since Marvel isn't a fan of making merchandise that they only get maybe half of the revenue from. Iron Fist and Power Man would be good examples, as well as Nick Fury and perhaps even Spider-Man. I haven't had this happen except for some older stray parts from who-knows-when. Strange. -
Judge's gavel looks really great! You might try a different torso for Damian, though.

I mean, as far as the stability of it goes. What problem is it supposed to remedy? -

It is supposed to celebrate all aspects of Batman. I wouldn't be surprised if we see some of the more out-there bad guys. Rainbow Raider, Batmite, Kiteman, maybe even Penny Plunderer, at least Egghead. I think we'll get somebody out of this thing that we would never expect. -
I think I've learned to love the head on Scott, but he definitely needs hair. I'd really like to avoid the standard tousled, since that's really overused with the Avengers.

I just got the Ant-Man set yesterday. What exactly is the issue that those new parts fix? I'm not sure I really want to go through all the trouble, and I haven't too many problems so far. -
I was going more for the movie version, although that would be pretty rad! I don't have Samwise, though.

They don't necessarily have to, but the LB3 design does have the bowler just kinda sitting on the grandpa hair, which looks really great. It wouldn't be a bad idea, but it's unnecessary. I wish they would go on a bit of crusade overhauling their hats to include hair, because that might make Jurassic PARK sets possible, and I really want that. -
Does anybody know of a better head for Scott Lang? I'm not too into the one from the set. He also needs some hair. I'd definitely appreciate any thoughts.

I just want a Scarecrow in an affordable set for once! He's one of my favorite villains and I still don't have him! Using that witch hat would be a great call back to TAS and would be a pretty financially-safe bout of creativity and variety. Mxy seems unlikely, since we haven't even gotten Bizarro, Metallo or Parasite, but boy would he be fun! I loved his design in LB3, but it looks like it would take some nonexistent new molds to happen. I'd really love to finally get Killer Moth, since he's found more love with Lego than anywhere else so far! Ra's has to happen soon. Mad Hatter seems less likely, but still possible. It wouldn't hurt if they used in some other medium soon, maybe gave him a bigger role in the Arkham Knight. Clayface is waiting for the budget, I'm sure, since he's a bigfig that needs a new mold, same for Killer Croc. Firefly would be fun, too, but he probably needs two new molds or one Black Manta-esque one. -
I used a black pompadour. I like the idea of using that new Superman hair from next year's Batman v Superman sets, so if you're willing to wait a year...!

I think it's pretty doubtful that we'll see Agent Carter or Agent 13 any time soon. I'd say we just get Black Widow and Scarlet Witch with a bit of room for speculation as to whether or not Wasp will be in costume by then. I don't think that news affects the Lego end of things nearly as much as it will Hasbro and the action figures. Hopefully it'll make Black Widow accessible for once, though. I skipped out on her last time because the Quinjet was too expensive, and now I may do it again because the Quinjet is too expensive AGAIN. -

Unless you're Ant-Man, in which case LEGO will keep the print anyway It's not exactly the piece that Booster Gold had in LB3 (or the one Havok had in Lego Marvel) but it wouldn't be a bad substitute. -

I don't think it's too far off. Maybe if they made it look a little younger, got rid of the crows feet, that could help, but I think it works just fine. I'm mostly bothered by Batman's head not being any different. A bit of variation there would be very much appreciated, since no other head really works with that cowl. I don't mind the white eyes so much, since those are coming into play in the film at least for a short while. All in all, though, some stubble and a bit of a chin dimple would be appreciated. -

Oh god, don't even joke about that! I'd like to think that if they did Booster they'd give him Skeets, too, and I doubt they'd put an accessory like that in an exclusive. Legends of Tomorrow does feature Rip Hunter, Booster Gold's son, so perhaps if the show does well we could see him in a set within a year or two. -

I thought that hair was new! I can't wait to see it unfiltered and in tact! I wonder how well a yellow version of that would work for Booster Gold?
