  1. The App-controlled batmobile had only 316 pieces.
  2. Like some sort of drifting mechanism with spinning rear tires and new suspension components. So sad that no set like that was released this year.
  3. After a trial run earlier this year we made it to Legoworld in Utrecht for seven days of fun with heavy machinery. This scale allows for vehicles that are both attractive and functional, and we're pleased to report we had very little technical trouble along the way. Replacing one burned out L motor, some fiddling with the parts and back to mining we went. We had lots of positive attention from the audience, and we hope you'll like the video as well.
  4. Yeah, that requires a bit more commitment than I'm into. I'd be willing to contribute financially to get the brickcontroller2 app updated and properly into the app store, but messing with developer profiles more commitment than I'm into. In the mean time I installed brickcontroller2 on an old android phone, which for now seems to have fixed the issue.
  5. I'm having trouble with brickcontroller2 version 3.1 on an Ipad- after running for a couple of minutes the steering servo locks itself at a 90 degree angle. It doesn't seem to be a mechanical issue, restarting the profile in the app zeroes the steering again. Does anyone know of a fix? I tried putting the steering servo on different ports, but no luck so far. The hub's firmware is up to date. I'm reading things about forked apps in this thread, but I suppose there's some jailbreaking to be done to run these on Ipad, or am I wrong there?
  6. Another meeting, another video: There's still plenty to do in preparation for Legoworld in a month, but folks have brought their greatest machines to contribute
  7. They are part of the youtube interface.
  8. I don't really get the question? It works pretty much the same as the boat stud, but since it's also a wheel it's got even less friction in the direction it rolls in.
  9. Wheel 18 x 14 Smooth : Part 55889 | BrickLink Rolls in one direction, slides in the other.
  10. @howitzer Last year they were €26. To me that's still worth it, but obviously that depends per person.
  11. That'd be great! It's a yearly event called Legoworld, their site is here: LEGOWorld . Currently it still shows the 2024 event, but in a month or so ticket sales should start for the 2025 edition. It's a fun day out, showcasing the Netherlands' best builders... And me.
  12. This video is of a trial run we had last weekend. It's not really a competition, it's just messing around with raw materials. These are models by different contributors. If you have questions about the separate models just ask, they hang around these parts. The audience really liked the sorting machine. The models work well together, but we still need bulldozers or other equipment to clean up all the spilled material, for example. Also, while the sorting machine was 100% accurate, improvements can be made in the input, output and throughput department. We'll keep plugging at it. If you want to check it out yourself- the next runs are planned in Meijel (The Netherlands) on the 24th of August, and in Utrecht (The Netherlands once again) 16-22 October. Love to hear what you think!
  13. 0,5 stud travel for a shock gets awfully close to the flex that's already inherent in studless technic.
  14. @Toastie Thanks for the info. I was torn on where to post it- it seems equally appropriate on either forum- but I was worried that posting on both forums would be considered spam. I'm so glad you all seem to like it, thanks for all the positive comments! In case someone missed it, I made this tiny one as well:
  15. I was wondering whether to put this on the train forum or here- but technic won out.
  16. I think having things run on batteries that are; universal replacable still being produced 20 years from now Is preferable to something that is none of those things. Remember the PF rechargeable batterybox? Once that's dead, it's dead. Your average consumer isn't going to grab a soldering iron and a TEMU-sourced battery to get that thing running again. Compared to this batterybox - produced 49 years ago. And if you didn't keep your leaky batteries in there, it should still work today. Just pop some new ones in and you're good to go.
  17. @eric trax I know the price is disappointing, but can you please not use that kind of language for it?
  18. The new variation can be printed, the old one can not. I would think that if no print is required, they'll just use the old one again.
  19. I wonder how the ladybug tile gets used, or if that's an inventory mistake.
  20. The shop.lego site mentions a rechargeable battery, this might go some way towards explaining the price. Though not nearly enough.
  21. Link: Tire 68.7 x 27 S : Part 52985 | BrickLink Nice that they're using them again.
