  1. Buy a used one.. it is so new, you will not notice the difference....

The zombies are a bit over the top.. especially when you see that the rest of your wonderfull layout is very realistic!! You never seem to be running out of ideas and projects...good to see!
  3. It indeed appears that it is photographed in black and white... i thought the same..... I like the Original more, but this will be a really nice addition to anyones layout!!

The longer i look at that terminal, the more i'm loving it... it has an Industrial character, yet it is transparent!! It deserves more attention...!!
  5. I already put a flower cart on it and some other things will follow...but first i want to finish this pretty large project (It is LARGE for me at least..) First i want to see how it looks together with the modular buildings.. Then i have to adapt a street along this square and after that i'll start with additions...!! But as the project is larger, and time is scarce, it will take a while!! But i'm really loving it myself too! Yes, can't wait either....i'm happy the whole square is more or less 'modular' as it has 8 baseplates 48 x 48 as a base....
  6. Indeed a superfast train..... Looks great as well!
  7. Haha...that is pretty funny!!
  8. Last nights update... still working on covering 18.432 studs.....and i enjoy putting every single tile in place....!! Thanks LT, a kiosk would also do well. But i will try to make it not too busy.. The squares will be in front of the modular buildings i have.. so it should not draw too much attention. I also thought of some other things as a barrel organ, which is typical Dutch, or a fish stall..... together with a bunch of nice people, it will be a nice neighbourhood...! By the way...the first inspiration was caused by seeing the superb layout of Serpico! But as i wanted to get a different look, i decided to make my own design!
  9. That looks also really, very promising.. I already like it as how it is now, but with additional floors, it will look even better! Getting rid of the sidewalls is still a thing i should do with my double petshop... but after 2 years, i do not think that is going to happen soon...so one advice.. start with the barbershop before you proceed with the extra floors! Dark red is an excellent color to use here.. It could make the whole building match good with the Fire Brigade...!! I'm looking forward to your progress... it is so inspiring to see what people do with this set....there are so many possibilities!!
  10. I share your ideas... , thanx! Still working on it... next week, more dark tan tiles are coming by postal service.... This is a base and after that i planned some street furniture like benches and maybe some kind of large statue or a fountain... till then, the trees and flowers will do...

Great terminal building!!! Love the lights too, looks really good!
  12. Thanks Alois! I could put some tan 1x2 grille pieces around the tree. I planned 1x2 tan tiles..... I'm considering your idea! THis won't be the centre tree.... .....
  13. Progress so far... some dark tan 2x2 tiles arrived this morning... i made a design in Excel and printed it on paper.. but i'm stil curious about the final result too!
  14. Since two days i'm working on my latest project...a Modular City Square... or, a square for my modulars.....it is a rather large surface, so i had to do a few bricklink orders...but this is what i started with..updates will follow!!.
  15. Looks great! It is a different style of what i expect to be a fire station, but as i saw you are from Taiwan, i immediately got it! Is there an interior as well, or did you just build it without? It looks a bit small, or at least, smaller than minifig-scale, is that correct? Great work anyway!
  16. Yep, those were the ones i was looking for, although i had them somewhat different in my mind! But thanks, now i can see what i do..either borrow the idea, or change them a bit...! And Kevin8 has a italian looking maffia guy as a profile-picture....that was my link with italy... I was inspired with this square indeed, but i was looking for benches to place in my own Modular Square City...thanks anyway!
  17. I've been searching for some nice bench-designs, which i can place on my WIP Modular City Square... recently i saw a really nice bench, designed by a EB-member with a somewhat italian name... I simply cannot find it anywhere here on EB, and i'm sure he posted pictures.. The legs were made of black parts, that is the only thing i remember... and i remember that i liked it a lot! Is there anyone who knows what i mean, and better, can post the pictures of the bench again... ?? It had a kind of victorian style..... Hope to hear from anyone soon!
  18. I also missed the first three, but bought them later.. It was a lot of money, but when i look back, they're still worth what i paid for it, or even a bit more...
  19. That is true, LT, but i think that, as BirdOPrey5 says: for 160 euros or dollars it should match better.... For me personally, it is not a big deal.. And maybe, if you are not happy with the 1x3 bricks.. you could Always contact TLG, and i am sure you would get replacement for the 1x3 bricks.. next question would be: do the replaced bricks match the color of the other bricks better? You're pretty right if you see it this way... Concerning clone-brands, you could expect this...but for Lego standards, the color-difference should not be that big...
  20. You're right.. i had the same experience... but as it just concerned the sidewalls, i do not have a very big problem with it.. But it is indeed a rather big difference in color between the 1x3 blue bricks and the 1x2 bricks.... here is a picture i found on Flickr..
  21. Here is my first progress on the brick built trees....now looking for a plan to tile half of the square in front of the modulars....
  22. The DO at least seems to make us more creative... i loved modifying to what i like most...!
  23. If there is a Lego-God, then you guys got his blessings!! Really stunning, amazing, beautiful and absolutely massive!
  24. Those red diesel engines keep on going...even after 10 years...
  25. Nikkemann is pointing at the metro-liner colors passing on the raised track to the right....
