  1. Boring? I would say no...
  2. Really nice tree, and i like how someone still can surprise me with the use of bricks! Any idea what this tree would cost? Seems to be rather expensive...but then again, the tree is also 'rather' beautifull!
  3. That is a really nice build... i also liked the video a lot..they are moving very realistic... well done!!
  4. I still haven't seen any longer than standard length 60051 or 60052 trains.. isn't there anyone that got himself some extra passenger or cargocars from these sets? With the 7938 and 7939 it was pretty easy to get some extra cars through second hand internet-markets.....Hope to see someone posting some pictures....!!
  5. Maybe you should think of the way you make your loop considering the length of your longest train.. my Horizon Express would hit its tail in this loop....
  6. I wonder whether this guy also wants you to pay about 50 euro's for cleaning cost.... for each model you rent...
  7. Are there already EB-members that have collected a long 60051 passengertrain with lots of extra cars or the new 60052 cargotrain with multiples of cargocars? Would love to see some pictures here!!
  8. Great build, Alois!!!!!
  9. Thanks for sharing.. i did not have the intention to complain about this, but now it even makes less sense for complaining..
  10. Yeah, or a large Mickey's Head as a cornerbuilding, and the entrance is his mouth....haha...!
  11. TLG won't do this..it is for sure a Disney party!...!!
  12. I really like it.. it would also be very practical, as it prevents your trains from getting a layer of dust....!! It has a nice Industrial look and it seems to be very realistic!! Hope to see it in real bricks soon!
  13. The link works fine for me....maybe you have some other problem...?
  14. Here is a YouTube video!
  15. There will be more minifigs present soon.. have to see where a put them as i have some other plans to put on the square. I will also move the Townhall about 8-10 studs to the left... The whole square has a nice atmosphere when you see it in real life.. it really feels like it is alive! The tan and dark tan colors make it feel warm! I have plans for one... ....the two fellows making music should get a cover, sooner or later...! Maybbe something like the 10222 Winter Village Post Office, but then a bit larger and with 6 or 8 sides.... Yep, benches are on the list..!! I should get a bench there for myself... just watching the layout...! Indeed, it is a carfree zone.. you see it more here in the Netherlands....! I'm really happy with it!
  16. Found an hour to get the square in the attic... i already prepared the layout for the 8 baseplates (48x48)... I'm really satisfied with it!! https://www.flickr.com/photos/legosjaak/
  17. Finished....5000 pieces....
  18. Thanks Serpico, and it is all thanks to you, as i was 100% inspired by your magnificent layout! So credits to you as well!!
  19. There is a small 8 wide lane in between the square and the modulars.....so, the firetrucks can go easily... That would be a nice next project...an inverted corner building.. The left corner doesn't look that bad with the cafe corner standing close to the Market Street... it is some kind of natural way to the backside of the buildings....
  20. The layout as how it is planned now is like the one in the picture. Maybe i put one brown 16 x 32 Pet Shop half to the right, so the GE comes closer to the square. The whole surface is 192 x 304 studs. I can't wait either, but i have limited time... and my son has his birthday, next sunday..so i won't spend any time on the layout...
  21. Today the rest of the dark tan 2x2 tiles arrived and also 1x2 dark tan bricks and 1x2 + 1x4 tan tiles.... Almost done now.... And after that, it is time for the minifigs to go populate the square!!
  22. Looking pretty good! You forgot one light bluish grey cheese slope on the roof, on the right side of the tower...
  23. Have you seen the progress already? I am currently waiting for 1144 bricks in my mail.....
  24. will you change the colors of your DO MOD as well?
  25. Looking good already... i like sandgreen in combination with tan... Well, in fact i like al those not to Lego-ish colors, like sand blue, dark tan, tan, sandgreen dark red and so on...
