  1. All right folks: after battling through some doubt I'm almost ready to reveal my entry. The only thing missing is a facial decal, which I'll have to hunt down some special paper for. (The stuff I have at present gives a white background when dried.)
  2. Fair enough, but tell the OP.
  3. Following the scarecrow idea... Tin Man Gender: Male Occupation/print on torso: patchy metal with bumps, resembling a shirt. Type of headgear: grey funnel-shaped hat, or perhaps just a 1 x 1 cone. Type of facial expression: glum. Color on torso/legs: same grey as the rest of his body. Accessory: an axe. Cowardly lion Gender: Male Occupation/print on torso: fur markings, resembling a lion's body. Possibly a tail on the back. Type of headgear: lion's mane, in a similar style to the S1 Caveman's hairpiece. Type of facial expression: one side looking menacing, the other side afraid. Color on torso/legs: fur markings on knees, same colour as torso. Accessory: none. Glinda the good witch Gender: Female (male for the pantomine version) Occupation/print on torso: sparkly dress. Type of headgear: long curly hair, perhaps with a white tiara piece. Type of facial expression: smiley. Color on torso/legs: slope piece as skirt, same colour as dress. Accessory: a white or silver magic wand. Dorothy Gender: Female (I think) Occupation/print on torso: trademark chequered blue and white dungarees over a white t-shirt. Type of headgear: different styles and lengths of hair, just like the film. Type of facial expression: not sure. Color on torso/legs: white legs with red shoes. Accessory: a basket.
  4. Excellent work! I like how the whole thing is constructed. Perhaps have some round pads on the sides to give it a smoother look - I don't know if those parts are actually in LDD or not.
  5. I like it, it's a very simple but effective design. I wonder if Lego would snatch the idea?
  6. Congratulations to all the winners, they're the only entries I've seen but they've all knocked it out of the park.
  7. Very ingenious use of tile pieces for piano keys. The vignette looks cool too - unfortunaely I didn't vote this time around.
  8. This is a little different; whoever wins gets to invade another country in an illegal brick war.
  9. Brilliant execution, I was particularly impressed with the back of the vehicle, as well as the fact two figures fit inside.
  10. Excellent work! I wasn't actually expecting those Aliens.
  11. I've got two ideas: one male and one female. I really don't know which one to pursue but they're both good. Maybe I'll make them both!
  12. I have considered entering, as I love me some BrickArms stuff, and I already have an idea of what I'd do. (Something slightly out of the box!) The hardest part is going to be the actual customisation as I don't have the fingers for details. Right now I'm thinking about how to fit my idea exactly within the 8 x 8 boundary. I assume this means that nothing can appear outside of the 8 x 8 area?
  13. Well done mikey, I wouldn't mind having one of these houses on display.
  14. I had a feeling I'd get that kind of response... Well let's just wait and see.
  15. There's a guy on BrickLink selling his army of around 260, not sure how much for though.
  16. This should be interesting. I'm guessing the gorillas will be the equivalent of S2 Spartans, or S1 Zombies. But my eye is on the tennis and baseball players.
  17. Treated myself to set 3222 (Helicopter and Limo) via the Lego online store.
  18. I like it! I can just imagine the tiles being placed in the crates. I also like how you did the turntables, very versatile usage of the levers.
  19. I bought this set from Amazon as an impulse buy: my first set since coming out of the "dark ages", and the only one I would have even considered. Basically I agree with the review, regarding the lack of accessories and the build. It's an underwhelming set for the price, but it was fun to build after so long away from sets.
  20. +1 for my man baron, for a trade.
  21. Weapons-wise I wouldn't mind seeing an AA-12 or a minigun, but I have a feeling we're going to see defensive items, like riot shields and body armour.
  22. Grabbing myself some syringes and scalpels right now. That's one reason why I was after so many S1 Nurses!
  23. NEWSFLASH: I've finally completed my S2 collection today, after a heads-up from Brickset and a couple of lucky finds in two different stores. So right now I have: S2 Highway Patrol Cop (sealed) S2 Spartan (sealed) S2 Karate Champ (also sealed) and a bunch of other S2 figures, all assembled. I'm now only looking to trade for: S2 Pop Stars/Singers S1 Cheerleader S1 Nurse or another female minifig, perhaps even a bunch of female minifig heads. I'll post the figures anywhere, but priority goes to the UK. (See how you like it!)
  24. ... Okay, I've changed my mind about entering! I'll be a Simon Cowell-eque judge instead.
