  1. Went crazy on BrickLink this week, and also picked up a lot of almost 8kg of Lego from feeBay. I also decided the get two collectible minifigures from Argos: got a clown and Robin Hood. (The clown was perfect because of the lime torso and arms. Maybe even an afro.)
  2. Here's an idea, which would be very relevant for my custom minifig collection: Mannequin/Dummy figure Gender: neither Occupation/print on torso: none, or possibly some body markings Type of headgear: none Type of facial expression: none! Color on torso/legs: white or tan Accessory: none I suggest this because I've been using Bricklink to get all the separate body parts, and it would be easier if the figure was readily available. Or maybe it is!
  3. Gender: Male or female Occupation/print on torso: British-style Court Judge Type of headgear: curly grey judge's wig Type of facial expression: a frown, perhaps some glasses Color on torso/legs: black Accessory: judge's gavel
  4. I'm after a particular item on BrickLink (a violet or similar coloured torso, no arms or hands), and only one seller on the entire site has it - but they do not ship to the UK. Is there any way of overcoming this problem?
  5. I bought another lot of mixed Lego off of feeBay... £36 for 3.5 kilos.
  6. Having weaned myself away from lot buying on feeBay, I discovered BrickLink for the first time last week. BrickLink has literally been like crack. (But to clairfy: I've been buying extra parts for my first diorama, and also parts for custom minifigs.)
  7. Welcome to the show!
  8. Couldn't PM yet... I'm certain I have a number of slope pieces with that planet motif, as well as other classic space parts I don't have much use for. I'll have a look when I get home.
  9. Some very interesting reviews there. Most of the bricks I've separated are your regular ones with the different markings, but there are a few pieces I would like to see as official Lego parts: some double-sided plates would be very useful, and there's a 1x2 "see-saw" element
  10. Having bought a number of lots from feeBay, and being fortunate enough to pick up a whole collection of Lego from someone, I noticed nearly all of them had Mega Bloks bricks. (I think only one lot out of all of them was pure Lego.) As I want to make dioramas and don't want to cheat, I've separated the Mega Bloks from the Lego - I now have a bag full of the former. Has this happened to anyone else, and what do you do with the other kind of bricks?
  11. Thanks folks :) I'm working on my first "set" (diorama) at the moment.
  12. What's the currency?
  13. Hi folks, I used to be addicted to Lego when I was younger, but gave it up after it got me into a bit of trouble (and after accusations of me being too old to play with it). But last month that addiction was rekindled, and I've since spent ungodly amounts of money on eBay building a collection of bricks and loose parts - and the boxes to contain them. The main thing I want to do with Lego is build scenery (a little like movie "sets") for artistic purposes, and one of the things I'd really like to get into is customising minifigures. I've seen what's possible with customisation and creative use of bricks - it's mostly intimidating, but also inspirational.
