SilentMode replied to Superkalle's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
Hi, When I try to upload a model's parts to BrickLink, the resulting XML is simply <INVENTORY> Not sure if anyone else has the problem... I'm on Windows XP SP3, Office 2010 is installed. -
My third and final entry is called "Padded Cell", and it's for the Other Lego Themes category. I was literally up all night building this one, and spent most of the day today doing the finishing touches (especially the cell doors). All of the pieces in this entry come from the Design by Me palette, so thankfully I didn't have to worry about colours. This is certainly the entry I'm most proud of. LXF file - Padded Cell Number of pieces: 1271 Unique pieces: 116 Weight: 1.731 kg I misinterpreted "class" in the rules, so thanks to someone's PM this is my only entry.

I like the shape of the beach house a lot more, although it would be cool to see it in the apple tree house's colours.

BrickLink is terribly addictive. I must have spend half a grand there already... Anyway, two more BL orders, a bag of Lego from Gumtreebay which mostly contained Mega Bloks, and a large (11kg) lot of Lego from feeBay. The large lot contained many minifigures and parts of minifigures, including a dark orange dude and several Star Wards droids.

I bought a few of these a while ago: http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=54097 Then it dawned on me: I don't know how to mount them. Can someone help me out?

Five more collectible minifigs today, which were reserved yesterday at Argos. And in a strange coincidence, I now have all doubles! 1 x forest man (Robin Hood) 1 x cheerleader 1 x ninja 2 x crash dummies

Where can I buy Lego in London-UK?
SilentMode replied to Artifex's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
Hello fellow Londoner! I was in Hamleys last week, and just as you discovered their prices are a rip in the proverbial buttocks. I wanted some collectible minifigs and nowhere else had them at the time - Hamleys sold them for £3 each. Anyway, if you're ever in north west London be sure to head over to Toys 'R Us near Brent Cross, which has probably the largest collection of sets you can find. They seem to be reasonably priced. -
Trading Collectable Minifigs Series 1, 2 and 3
SilentMode replied to danim's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
After a few impulse buys, I have the following (all with their respective accessories and stands): HAVE 2 x skater 2 x diver 1 x clown 1 x (spare clown head and legs) 1 x cheerleader 1 x forest man (Robin hood) WANT 1 x magician 2 x nurse I may have some more coming, but the important thing is I'm still based in the UK. -
Two more collectible minifigs: a ninja and a skater this time. I think I'll keep the ninja.

Thanks for the heads up, I was after 122 light grey 2x2 tiles and the prices on BL were ridiculous.
-
Argos had the collectible minifigures in again. (Not all of them but some.) I don't even like them that much but I bought some anyway. 1 more clown 2 x divers 1 cheerleader 1 skater

Excellent work on the MOC, particularly the ingenious use of the decorated tiles. Funnily enough, I had an idea of doing a health spa MOC - maybe someone will beat me to it?

I travelled all the way to Gillingham, Kent yesterday to pick up what turned out to be a small lot of Lego. (The Gumtree ad I'd answered falsely advertised the location as Gillingham, London.) I felt ripped off from the start, as a lot of the bricks turned out to be [some other brand], as was common with most of the lots I'd bought. But lo and behold, of the genuine parts that were left, I managed to find a yellow bicycle! I hear these things fetch a good price. (I really have to start going to car boot sales.)

I bought one of those Lego measuring tools (the red triangle thing) off of feeBay. Someone was selling them for £1.99 - I think the listing is still up.

Welcome fellow Brit!

They're surprisingly hard to come by. I ended up buying a bunch of these ones on BrickLink: http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=970c90pb02

Snowboarder Gender: either male or female Occupation: extreme sports Type of headgear: woolen scarf, a wooly hat or snowboarding helmet, goggles Facial Expression: grinning/excited Clothing: something like this: Accessories: snowboard I got to thinking there should be a dedicated alpine series.

ASDA has a couple of the small sets - a fire vehicle and a newer police motorcycle - for £2.97 each. In other news, the only place I've been able to find the collectible minifigs is in Uxbridge's Argos - I can't find them anywhere else.

One Robin Hood and the remainders of a clown (I'm keeping the torso, arms and hands for customisation!) for either a nurse or magician. I'm based in the UK.
