All that's missing is the opposing team, perhaps in green or blue. But it's great you have a team of baseball players, and good luck building the field.
-
Nice one, I like both the fact that the building isn't white, and that you've got a rectangular building (which we don't see much of these days). The interior's also very good.

If I wasn't building my own house, I'd get this too. I particularly like how good the alternative models look.

That's an excellent kitchen! I had a surprising amount of trouble building a fridge, and you've nailed it. The wall cupboard is also a nice touch. The sink is just ingenious!

I remember this entry... I'm very impressed with the amount of detail you've put into it. Now for the brick build...!

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 3 discussion
SilentMode replied to Klaus-Dieter's topic in Special LEGO Themes
According to a post on BrickLink: 2 x Fisherman 3 x Indian Chief 3 x Snowboarder 3 x Space Villain 3 x Elf 3 x Hula Dancer 3 x Rapper 4 x Tennis Player 4 x Bush Pilot 4 x Samurai 4 x Gorilla Suit 4 x Baseball Player 5 x Race Car Driver 5 x Sumo Wrestler 5 x Mummy 5 x Space Alien These are reflected in the current prices for individual (identified) figures on BrickLink: around GBP 2.73 for gorilla suits, all the way up to GBP 4.38 for fishermen. -
LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 3 discussion
SilentMode replied to Klaus-Dieter's topic in Special LEGO Themes
For the record, I'm going to start a gorilla army (as well as a baseball team, an F1 team, an all-women's tennis club and a hula dance troupe). Apart from completing the collection, you guys can have all the elves you want. But darn those fishermen will be rare (only two per box). -
It seems to be tradition that the rules are somewhat confusing! Comments aside: if I were entering I would use 900 pieces as a limit. If I had to use more pieces than that in a piece similar in size to the bakery and shop, I'd consider it way too detailed.

It might be because it's possible in LDD to use part/colour combinations that don't exist. (in Universe mode)

Very interesting concept! -
I have an idea, but not sure whether to enter. I think I might.

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 4 discussion
SilentMode replied to legokuate's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I think the Monster will be most popular... Just joking this time. If the list is accurate, I can see myself grabbing as many artists and kimono girls as possible... maybe a couple each of the others. Just have to get through the underwhelming Series 3 first. -
I really like this vignette, and of course the vehicles. The entire thing has that 1940s/50s look to it.

A re-introduction to the Community,
SilentMode replied to Brick Miner's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Well done Brick Miner! Here's hoping we see a "girly" theme in the future. -
I know, I guess I've been military-minded to a fault recently.

What more can be said, this building is amazing! I rally like the attention to detail with the machines. For some reason I thought I saw a gun turret in that wooden section at the back!
-
No way...!

Glad you guys like it! Construction has begun on these limited-edition models.

A couple of hours rebuilding the model, and we have this bad boy: I've had to get rid of my precious mudguards in favour of larger wheels and tyres. This also had the benefit of giving the vehicle a good amount of clearance from the ground - funny how these things work out! Although the vehicle is significantly taller now, I've also managed to reduce the length. I liked the drug cartel van look, and it was similar to what I was going for, but this version would be more vanilla. Amazingly, as you can see, it still houses three figures. I've also included the LXF files for anyone who wants them, and hopefully someone can improve on either model (and show the results!). It wasn't easy to build, but I've hopefully laid some kind of foundation. Mark 1 (the first set of pictures) Mark 3 (this one)

The lighting definitely makes this vignette - excellent work.
-
I like it I think you've captured the look of the vehicle extremely well, given the available pieces.
-
Point taken guys: I'll see if I can reduce the length of the vehicle when I get home tonight. It should definitely be possible, even though the challenge is to fit three figures inside. Thanks for the feedback!
-
Thanks lightningtiger... I'm planning on building four of them; just have to find out how many of the pieces I have already.

Keeping things rolling (no pun intended) and moving forward... I had a go at building a SUV, which is six studs wide and has space inside for three minifigures. Most of the already built SUVs I've seen online are either four studs wide, or don't have enough room inside for figures. Adding to the difficulty is that most of the available windscreens are four studs wide. Anyhow, this is my first attempt at a completely blacked-up vehicle: While it looks okay (although not really like an SUV), I've since had to change the front and back windows to transparent black, which makes the vehicle look more like a taxi cab. Updated pictures to come later.
