  1. I pity da fool who makes my morning!
  2. Very impressed with the original idea, I'd almost forgotten about that guy!
  3. Very original idea, and excellently done. I never would have thought of using that technique for the shell and cannons.
  4. Excellently made custom minifigure, AND vignette! It's getting closer to the deadline and the competition's really hotting up.
  5. My goodness... Excellent work on the head, as well as the rest of the minifigure. Did you use Fimo? Good luck in the voting!
  6. Match 1 - Sporulator Match 2 - Klawmite Match 3 - Bat Witch Match 4 - Archer Match 5 - Byte Match 6 - Walrux Bucketor Match 7 - Dr. Ohm Match 8 - (draw)
  7. Thanks for the feedback, folks!
  8. # You had plenty money in 1922... # Theme: Who Framed Roger Rabbit? Character: Jessica Rabbit Cost: including tools and existing materials for the minifig, around GBP 6. Additional Images: Brickshelf gallery Background Story Meet SilentMode: fresh out of the Dark Age and relative newcomer to the LEGO online community. He occasionally gets picked on by those who know not what they do, but he generally concentrates on establishing himself as a talented builder. A golden opportunity came when the annual cosplay convention, sponsored by Eurobricks, came around - but he was hesitant to take part because his costumes were never quite up to scratch. He'd been completely overlooked at a pirate-themed gathering, even though he designed and made his own pirate hat. Last Halloween, his "Terminator" getup didn't fool anyone. If he was going to go to the convention, he would have to pull something spectacular out of the bag. In the end he decided to go all out: he would recreate one of the most impactful scenes ever made. Whether his makeup would hold for long was another matter. Other bits of info The cheapest item was the card used to make the dress. The most expensive item was Fimo, used to make the hairpiece. It also resulted in the sacrifice of a head and torso. This was my first time doing a minifig head decal. I couldn't get a waterslide decal to stick so I used transfer paper - my printer wouldn't accept it so I had to stick it onto an A4 sheet. Initially I had a pink dress because I didn't have suitable red paint. I then decided to redo the dress using glitter, although the shoes are still pink.
  9. Damn, that's some heavy modding! Excellent work on both the minifigure and the vignette.
  10. As soon as I can decide between two possible entries, I'll post mine. I've made both of them with vignettes, so I may post the other one at a later date.
  11. Very nicely built stage, it reminds me of those displays at theme parks. The pop star is also my favourite figure of the S2 line-up. Obviously the one on the left is the only one not miming!
  12. If I haven't been blacklisted by then, I'm in
  13. I forgot to mention, the piano keys are my first custom decal. I'm quite proud of how they turned out, and at the same time was surprised there wasn't an official equivalent (at least, as a 1 x 6 tile). I have an alternative vignette already built which doesn't have this piano in it, but I may have a go if there's time left.
  14. Thanks folks.
  15. Sir, my hat is off.
  16. Something I did while waiting for parts to arrive, and in coming up with an idea for the cosplay contest. This MOC is actually a very loose clue as to what my entry is. Presenting my version of a grand piano, built using reference photos from Google. This was originally going to be part of the vignette, but even though it fits in an 8 x 8 space it's just too big to put anything else down. Also I've finally found a use for the S2 Ringmaster: from the frenzy of collecting Series 2 I ended up with about six of them.
  17. Nice one! I certainly felt the surprise of seeing Cammy's face! I like how you've paid attention to the legs, as well as the usage of a headpiece to simulate the hair. I'm also going to be entering a male cross-dresser (to ruin the surprise), so watch this space.
  18. Thanks for the find, I'm on it. Right now the lure of free Lego is worth buying the Mirror for.
  19. When I saw this I almost immediately thought of the Ark. But these are great!
  20. I too saw that green was missing, which would be sweet, but of course it's not possible if the parts don't exist. Anyway, I like the design of the cars, I'd prefer these over the ones on sale.
  21. Whatever the alignment of the wings, I think it's a really cool micro-scale model and would be great as an impulse set. Imagine a whole fleet of these things displayed in one's bedroom.
  22. That........... is nice! I was hoping the little door at the back would open, and I wasn't disappointed.
  23. I like the design of the ship a lot, and how you've incorporated Technic pieces (which I've got plenty of). I wouldn't mind building a couple of these myself.
  24. WHAT?! That is good news, I suppose - I can experiment with hairpieces.
