  1. Then the issue moves from being off the "Marvel Super Heroes Rumors & Discussion" topic to being off the "2015" topic. Though I suppose Spidey could potentially even be the after-credits scene for AoU, I still doubt it. So unless he's in AntMan, then MCU Spidey discussion should probably go elsewhere or wait for the 2016 thread.
  2. He's the guy who was annoyed at people going off topic a page ago. And as much as I hate it, this really isn't the place for the Spidey discussion.
  3. Sorry, I can see how that was unclear. I meant a timeframe for voting or judging (I believe he said it would be the former). Just curious as to what's up with the post-entry time-period.
  4. That's brilliant, and explains why the cheek-y piece looks so awkwardly wide on its own.
  5. I wanted to make a point about freedom of speech, but as far as I know most countries don't have that spelled out in their law. Excuse me for standing up for myself, and I apologize if I truly came across as condescending somehow. I'm simply trying to be professional. Name calling really isn't necessary. I'm merely trying to defend myself and others because I see little-to-none wrong with the discussion of the past couple of pages. As I said, if the mod wants to specify that something is definitively off-topic for us, that's his call. But as I and others have voiced, the topic seems to us to be broader. I'm sorry to drag this out, but I tend to be uncomfortable with my name being dragged in the mud, however pure the intention. If we could just wait for the mod to respond, rather than slander each other? I'm really not trying to attack anyone...
  6. Look, no disrespect... But who owns what, especially as relating to merchandising like almost all of that conversation, is directly related to what sets we will/won't get. I'm not saying they didn't go off-topic at all, but at the same time maybe what you consider to be "on-topic" is too narrow? Nobody's been complaining for a long time, and as far as I've witnessed the conversation has stayed more-or-less on topic. Just some thoughts to consider, seeing as without us you wouldn't have anyone to moderate in the first place. I realize this is "Euro"bricks, but a lot of us are Americans, and I'm pretty sure people tend to be fairly free in most of Europe. Can we just have some tiny degree of freedom of speech? Again, I respect your authority as a mod, so I suppose your decision will be final either way (unless CM disagrees), but it seems to me that there's no problem here.
  7. Yes, please. The only current face that works at all is JJJ's most recent print, and that only works from the eyes up due to the mustache. In other words Capaldi is the only doctor you can't purist accurately at this point. So while I'd rather get more, I wouldn't be horribly upset if it was just 12. Especially considering, if they make a smaller set they're more likely to make more. Alternatively, cramming all the important characters into a bigger set would seem to imply that it's their only chance so they're making the most of it.
  8. USD? I was under the impression we'd heard the official prices already... $30-40 and $60 I believe. And I'd lean the Hulkbuster towards $40, I just can't remember for sure.
  9. Not that many people will probably see this, but considering the contest thread got locked... Does anyone know if Ecc has any sort of specific timeline for this?
  10. Pretty sure somebody said that was just fanart that BBC posted with the announcement. I don't think it says so much about the 'fig as much as the fact that Capaldi's most likely.
  11. Really? I mean, the test footage wasn't R and it was plenty Deadpool. Yay ^_^ Legos yay ^_^
  12. Plus Harley's bike thing goes back a ways. It's hard to say how deep any of the set is from the prelim. *like* to TheLegoDr's post :P
  13. ... :3 Though it sounds like the team will be entirely different, so it probably won't be like, the current MCU Avengers plus everyone. And it's two movies. I didn't know Deadpool was going through that fast ^_^ I know it'll prolly be an R-rated movie, but maaaaaybe Lego will throw him in if they make an Apocalypse set? Please? I was about to buy the helicopter set and I went back a week later and it was gone and now he's so expensive... :( Erm, wait, 2015. Right... Is it bad that I'm running out of discussion for this year? Can we start a thread for the next half-decade? O:D
  14. Wha-huh? Apocalypse and what? Is Gambit coming that soon? Deadpool?
  15. Unfortunately large "if."
  16. While I agree that a CMF would probably be the way to go, they could definitely make sets. There are plenty of episodes with notable locations on earth, and most of the recurring aliens have either a spaceship or space base of some sort. For example, a set with Stonehenge could include a big cubic box, some Romans, and a Dalek/Cyberman or two (with their ships if they wanted to make it really big). I wouldn't complain *shrug* :P I just hope that if they do make more sets beyond the ideas one (which will include Capaldi/Clara, if BBC has anything to say about it. They wouldn't pass up such an opportunity to market the current show with toys for earlier regenerations), they better not devote the whole wave to Capaldi. One current set would hopefully be enough to please BBC, and then they could work their way back with a set per Doctor or something :P EDIT: got ninja'd a bit there. Obviously we're on the same track, though, with Stonehenge and all. Though I didn't fully realize the potential for historical type sets, like Robin Hood. Those would make a looot of good sets.
  17. Never say never... :P But really, he wasn't just talking about the Ideas project. As far as I can tell, anyways, he just meant that if Lego was gunna make a $350 UCS Marvel set, it should have been the X-Mansion. I can't say I agree, as I'm mostly Spidey/Avengers-centric in my Super-Hero love, but don't get me wrong--I like just about any super-heroes, and an X-Mansion sounds pretty sweet. If they're going to continue making X-men sets, I'd much rather get a buttload of mutants all at once rather than getting a new Magneto/Wolverine every year with the two or three max other mutants.
  18. Fyi since I don't recall seeing it here, Just2good reported that Rhino/Sandman will be $40. I kindof agree with mattdev, though. I'm not necessarily opposed to an organic Rhino, but I'd welcome a mech as much if not more.
  19. Oh no, accurate scale would be much to large for me. It would take up a whole room to get anywhere close. I'd just like the minifigs to not look too horribly oversized on the deck, and enough room inside for a minifig scale control room of some sort. I'm not concerned about fitting more than one row of computers or anything. Fitting one of the quinjets on the deck would be a huge bonus, but I'd be happy with just a small single-'fig SHIELD jet fitting. I hadn't thought about Coulson having a SHIELD torso. He did wear SHIELD outfits in USM whenever he wasn't principaling, so I could see that working. Just throw the head/hair on an appropriate suit and voila. Free torso for a generic agent. ...Dang... This set is gunna be an exception. I've never kept a set of MOC built before. Not for long. Especially if I can minifig-ify the Hellicarrier, there's no way I'll be taking it apart... I need to rebuild my quinjet :P
  20. So I might be banking a bit on winning a massive short story contest I entered, if I want that to happen, but... It could happen :P Otherwise I'll be pinching pennies to get one, like the rest of you ;) No news on the summer sets, though? I'm beginning to wonder if the Agent in the jet will be Coulson... I'd much rather not, he's easy enough to customize and I want SHIELD uniforms, but... Idk. Hopefully he'll be the exclusive with the game, if not Stan Lee.
  21. Especially considering I couldn't find both of my white tap pieces so they ended up being metal XD
  22. Did you read the description? -as for the ambassador, I was extremely pleased with the torso/legs/arms combo. That one I rather stumbled upon if I recall.
  23. Easily one of my favorites If I had to pick one from each guild, it'd be the Battlemage, the Nightsister, the Djinn, and the Gypsy.
  24. Here's my entry- had it built for a while, just procrastinated on taking the pictures... http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=105328
