Curious to see if Ahsoka or the new Inquisitors show up with Kanan's Speeder Bike. The set itself doesn't sound particularly interesting though considering we just got Ezra's bike this year.

I love the sound of possible Superhero battlepacks. It would be great being able to get a number of different superheroes for an affordable price.

Marvel Superheroes 2016 Rumors And Discussion
wesker replied to Quicksilver's topic in LEGO Licensed
Six Avengers sets next year is a nice surprise. Hopefully we'll be seeing plenty of new characters like Captain Marvel, Wasp, Doctor Strange and AIM Henchmen. Some comic-based variants for Quicksilver, Scarlet Witch, Hawkeye, Mandarin and Ultron would be more than welcome too. Fingers crossed the actual builds will be as good as this year's Justice League sets. Would be nice if one of those mystery sets was an X-Men one, but I'm not holding my breath. Would be nice to get Apocalypse, Jean Grey, Mystique, Archangel, Nightcrawler and 90s Cyclops. Still disapointed by the lack of Civil War sets though, but I'll be satisfied as long as we get Bucky, MCU Falcon, Black Panther, Sharon Carter and Crossbones. -
I'm with you there. There's plenty of characters that could pick from - Dorothy, Eowyn, Catwoman, Poison Ivy, Batgirl, Supergirl, Marge and Lisa Simpson etc. Most of those have already been made too so there's no excuse not to include them at some point.

Backprinting is the only thing I think they can improve on R2. But yeah other than that he's pretty definitive now.
-
I'd be up for that. Classic Leia is long overdue for an update. She's been using the same torso print since 2000! Although the Krayt Dragon skeleton sounds like a nice idea too.
-
It would be nice to get a new AOTC Jedi Starfighter, but the site did say "ROTS Obi-Wan Jedi's Interceptor". Sounds pretty specific.

The previous Carbon Chamber wasn't that large either though. If the new one is modular in its design and Lego is planning to expand on it by releasing the rest of Cloud City at a later date then the scale won't seem as bad. Again remember the original Cloud City was also a modular build. You had four different areas you could arrange anyway you wanted (Carbon Chamber, Dining Room, Gantry/Duel Area and Landing Platform). Now imagine that instead of all these areas being included in the same box, Lego decides to split them up into multiple sets. Suddenly the size doesn't seem so bad. Another thing to keep in mind is the minifigures. A large retail set rarely ever includes more than 10 characters. While a D2C set like the Ewok Village and Death Star can go beyond that, it comes at the expense of no new molds. Releasing multiple Bespin-themed sets at retail means we're getting the best possible representation of the desired characters. 2016 could be looking at something like this: Carbon Chamber - 4 minifigures Cloud City - 8-10 minifigures Cloud Car - 4 minifigures Thats double what we got the first time around with 10123 and 7119. I'm staying optomistic until pics show up and we hear whats comming in the Summer wave.

That hairpiece would look great on Tarkin. Doesn't it also come in dark brown with one of the Ghostbuster minifigures? I think it would be perfect for a custom Ric Olie too.
-
That would be a shame. It would be nice to at least get Eowyn and Faramir at somepoint. Just throw them in a teampack with an existing minifigure. Faramir could come with either Boromir, Pippin or Gandalf the White, while Eowyn could come with Aragorn, Merry, Eomer or Theoden (although Eowyn vs Witch-King with a minibuild Fell Beast would be ideal)

I don't think its a waste of time. Even if an idea has no chance of passing review, its still a good way to show Lego what consumers would like to see from an existing licensed line. Although I do think people should stop putting up projects that are ridiculously oversized and aim for something a little more realistic as a Lego product.
-
Remember the original Cloud City was modular too. How much do you think the Carbon Chamber from that set would've gone for had it been release seperately? It might give us a bit of an idea what to expect.
-
I get the feeling that if there's only four minifigures they are likely to be Luke, Vader, Han and the Carbonite Block. Lando will probably get skipped over along with Boba Fett, Ugnaughts, Bespin Guards and both versions of Leia. But hopefully the Carbon Chamber is just the begining and we'll see those minifigures appear in more Bespin themed sets in the Summer wave.
-
Now that we know Bespin is coming next year I hope we see a collection of sets like Jabba's Palace. Carbon Freezing Chamber Areas include the freezing chamber, room with the breakable window and gantry Minifigures include Luke, Vader, Han in white shirt and Carbonite Block Cloud City Areas include the dining room, torture room, trash room and landing platform Minifigures include Bespin Han, Bespin Leia, Lando, Chewbacca, C-3PO, Ugnaught, Boba Fett and Stormtrooper Twin Pod Cloud Car Includes Cloud Car Pilot, Bespin Guard, Lobot and Bespin Escape Leia

It would be great if Lego did release actual sets based on this game and just not the minifigures. I'd love to have that Balrog!
-
If there's any truth to the Carbon Freezing Chamber being a small set thats going to be very disapointing. There better be more of Cloud City in the Summer wave to make up for it. Interesting there's going to be a new version of Anakin's podracer. I didn't think an update was needed since the last one was so well done. Still hopefully this version will finally give us a Shmi Skywalker and TPM C-3PO. Won't complain about another Padme either.

I'm very interested in seeing how Leia turned out. I've been wondering how the new face would look on her other costumes from the past couple years. Both the Snowspeeder and X-Wing uniforms are available fairly cheaply in the Microfighters so it wouldn't be a bad idea picking up a couple when they're on sale. Although when it comes to upgrading any minifigure I think its best to focus on the characters that are unlikely to be released again in the near future, like Porkins. For someone like Luke you're better off waiting for the next X-Wing he shows up in.

Not a big fan of the Shock Stormies. Rainbow Clone Troopers are one thing but I like my Stormtroopers nice and white.
-
This is only the Winter wave. I'm sure we'll see more DC sets in the Summer wave, but we usually don't hear about those until late December.

There could still be some proper Rebels sets we don't know about. Usually when we get the initial rumour list for the Winter wave they don't include the retailer exclusives. Those set names usually pop up a month or two later.

Marvel Superheroes 2016 Rumors And Discussion

Only one set for Civil War is very underwelming, especially with the number of heroes that are supposed to be in the movie. I'm curious what the last two sets could be. Hopefully Loki will have a unique face this time around. The previous one from the Avengers sets didn't really suit him. -
Prison Island sounds very interesting. Usually in the past they have always been a part of the police station, but it would be nice to have an actual prison complex for a change.
-
I do hope the Jedi Interceptor is the blue one mainly because the characters on Utapau are a lot more interesting than the ones involved in the Battle of Coruscant. The constraction figure for Obi-Wan has actually got me wondering if they'll change his hair colour from dark orange to dark flesh/nougat? It would certainly look a lot more accurate, yet at the same time if he does get a drastic redesign I do hope they leave off the pilot headgear so he isn't so scene specific. That would be my preference. The Carbon Freezing Chamber on its own is nice, but getting the rest of Cloud City as an expansion in the Summer wave would be even better. Throw in the Cloud Car as a third set and you've pretty much got Bespin and all its characters covered.

They could improve the Sandtrooper by getting rid of the black crotch piece on the legs and printing the black undersuit like the 2004 Stormies and Force Awakens Troopers. Not all the Sandtroopers had the black pouches on the chest armour either, so they could always do a torso variant with it. Other than that the only changes I can think of is having an orange/white pauldron instead of the black one from the Cantina. As for C-3PO the Sandcrawler version was scene-specific with the restraining bolt on his chest. I'd prefer the Escape Pod used the regular C-3PO torso while keeping the printed legs of the Sandcrawler.

True although Palpatine's Arrest was about the same price and included six minifigures, so I'm staying optimistic!
