  1. C-3PO is supposed to be coming in a polybag later this year.
  2. The joints on Smaug's wings are made of plastic, but the bulk of it is made of rubber. While its nice having that high level of articulation and posability, the downside is that the rubber is very likely to deteriorate over time and will be difficult to replace in the long run. I'm happy with the current solution Lego's been using on Batman and Hawkman. Its more posable than the regular ABS plastic on Falcon plus we have the option of displaying characters in "flight" and "landed" mode.
  3. Rey's Speeder Love the colour and greebling on this. I didn't think the vehicle itself was all that appealling in the trailers but as a Lego set it looks very nice. First Order Snowspeeder Probably the least exciting set but still nice in its own right. I think they did a nice job on the angles and implementing the stud launchers on this one. TIE Fighter I LOVE this set! Lego took the best from the previous TIE Fighter and the Inquisitor's and perfected the design here. Almost makes me want to see another Imperial version in the near future. Nice to get a bit of diversity with the First Order Officer, even though the hate does look a little goofy compared to the Imperial Officers. First Order Transporter Love the design of this ship and the way the front opens up. Looks like the tower can be opened from the back and used as the cockpit. Phasma looks perfect with her cape and the new Stormtroopers are great too. Nice touch with the Flametroopers backpacks and giving some individuality to the Resistance Soldiers. The female looks an awful lot like Toryn Farr in the Echo Base video on Lego's website. Kylo Ren's Shuttle Looks so much better now that we've seen proper pictures of it. My favourite part is definitely the extendable wings. Makes the set much more shelf-friendly. Nice mask piece for Kylo Ren. The cape looks a little short though. I just noticed the First Order Officer is a woman, and an older one at that. Love the diversity we're getting here. Overall looks like a fantastic wave. I'm really impressed how these turned out. Its a little disapointing there's no Luke or Leia in the wave but its understandable that they'd want to avoid spoilers these early before the film's release. Hopefully they'll both show up in the January wave.
  4. There's no denying the line was incredibly mishandled. The lack of anything Gondor was absolutely ridiculous. I was also thinking its a shame NujuMetru's Edoras project is no longer on Ideas. It was a great looking set at an affordable price range that was actually getting a lot of support at one point, but unfortunately got overshadowed by his Minas Tirith project. It would be nice to see Edoras be given another shot on Ideas with stronger campaigning this time around.
  5. I actually thought NujuMetru's Edoras was a great project for Ideas. It was affordable, looked great and was getting plenty of support. Unfortunately it lost steam when it got overshadowed by the same creator's Minas Tirith project which had a lot more campaigning. It'll be nice to see Edoras given another shot on Ideas.
  6. I'm fine with Winter Soldier showing up in the new sets. The exclusive minifigure was good for either a masked version or a comic variant of the character, but Civil War should give us a proper Sebastian Stan one without the face covered up. If the sets come with two different costume variations then even better! Just2good I don't suppose you know if Sharon Carter, Black Widow or Scarlet Witch will be in any of the Civil War sets?
  7. Definitely agree on a new hairpiece. They already have the perfect one available:
  8. But they were still normal looking clothes you'd see on a civillian. No different to what she was wearing when she was with Ultron and Hydra. I was thinking something more superhero-ish like the costume she wears in the final scene of the movie where she actually looks like she's a part of an elite superhero team.
  9. I'd say in Scarlet Witch's case I prefered she didn't. She came wearing civillian clothes in the Age of Ultron sets. Lets see her in a proper Avengers uniform this time around.
  10. I'm fine with that. The Hobbit was pretty well covered with the three waves it got and I can't imagine Dimensions would've brought anything new to the table. Shame there isn't anymore LOTR on the horrizon though.
  11. There does seem to be some differences with the head prints. Gollum looks similar to the Hobbit version but with more of a smile this time. Gimli's eyebrows are raised higher as if he has a surprised look on his face. And the cheekbones on Legolas are smaller and at a different angle to both the LOTR and Hobbit versions.
  12. It wouldn't be the first time Lego has done this. Don't forget the 2014 Snowspeeder only came out a year after this one:
  13. We're already getting a Snowspeeder from TFA in the Septmeber wave. More than likely the 2016 Snowspeeder is from ESB.
  14. I'm definitely up for a New 52 Catwoman. That or a Michelle Phieffer version from Batman Returns. Either one would be an improvement over the previous Catwoman minifigure. I wasn't too keen on the purple lipstick or that the non-goggled face didn't line up properly with the mask. The smirk was kind of awkward too. I'm glad we'll be getting the 60s version though. Its not my favourite version of the character, but its just nice to finally see Catwoman show up in a new set for once. Its ridiculous that a character as popular and iconic as her has only made one appearance in the DC Superheroes line thus far while Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy have made numerous appearances.
  15. Another option could be its a remake of this set. We did see a new Wampa Cave and orange coloured Snowspeeder in the video on Lego's website. There's always the possibility both will be released seperately from the rest of Echo Base.
  16. Another Snowspeeder? Safe to say it will be an easy pass. Hopefully this means we also won't be getting another one included with Echo Base. Seems a bit soon for another Spider Droid as well, but at least that might offer a potential new Jedi like Adi Gallia, or at least update the one of the Clone Wars characters without the anime faces. The A-Wing sounds interesting. I'm guessing this is going to be a Rebels version? Would be a nice set to include a grown up Ahsoka Tano and one or two of the new Inquisitors.
  17. I'm sure we'll see more characters at some point. I can't imagine they'd leave out Frodo and Aragorn as playable characters. But I do really hope we see some new characters as well. Eowyn, Faramir, Sauron and the Witch-King are the four big ones for me. I won't be happy if they start rehashing minifigures like Azog, Arwen, Tauriel, Mouth of Sauron, King of the Dead etc before them. Does anyone know how frequently the new waves will be released?
  18. Four sets sounds like a good number. Should be enough to cover all the important characters.
  19. That was the one thing that disapointed me most about the line. She was one of the characters I was really looking forward to the most. I think getting every heroine except Eowyn made it even more disapointing considering she was easily the best of the four and actually got involved in what was happening in the story. Arwen just showed up in a 5 minute-per-movie sideplot in Rivendell, Galadriel mostly made cameos as an exposition device and Tauriel's only purpose was to chase after one man because she couldn't have another. If Lego is to add any female character from the series to Dimensions, I hope Eowyn is the one they pick first. She's long overdue for a minifigure. Its still pretty early though. Aside from DC each theme only has a couple minifigures each. In the case of LOTR they still need to get a few more core characters out first like Frodo and Aragorn before new characters become a possibility.
  20. Not Coulson again! I'm so tired of his character that I'm in no rush to see a minifigure of him anytime soon. Bring on Peggy Carter instead.
  21. Its not just the Lego sets. Myer's been clearancing off those Hasbro Inquisitor figures for half price as well. Rebels merchandise in general doesn't seem to be selling too well down here.
  22. Thats probably why we're getting the Carbon Chamber released seperately - its the only room that can hold up on its own as a seperate set. I doubt Lego will release the rest of Cloud City as individual sets though. More than likely they'll deliver one big set that covers the remaining areas together (duel area, dining room, junk pile, landing platform etc) for around the same price point as the original Cloud City or Jabba's Palace.
  23. Again... the original Carbon Chamber wasn't that much bigger. I don't think the size is really the issue. The real concern right now is whether this is going to be a standalone piece, or a modular one that can combine with a larger Cloud City set down the road.
  24. Glad to see I'm not the only one who wants Eowyn! But don't forget about Dorothy too. It feels like a missed opportunity getting the rights to the Wizard of Oz and not including the main heroine (and her friends) as a playable character.
  25. I wonder if we'll end up getting that flying monkey? Its the only figure on that artwork that hasn't gotten a physical release yet.
