  1. Looks like its going to be a fantastic wave. The Hulkbuster, Quinjet and Avengers Tower are definitely the highlights. The minifigures look great too. Vision and Quicksilver are spot on, and the updated Hulk is a nice improvement. Not sure what to think of Hawkeye, Black Widow and the Hydra henchmen without seeing them up close.
  2. It looks like the same type of fabric as Storm's cape. Batman is also using it in the new wave. They're a lot more flexable than the old capes so it should prevent them from getting crumpled and damaged when putting the minifigures into vehicles.
  3. Bolg being missing is understandable though. He was supposed to come in one of the Dol Guldur sets but got removed when the films changed his design late in production, By the time it was done it was probably too late to redesign him even for the final wave. Same reason why we didn't get an armoured Azog in the BOFA set. I think the Hobbit sets have done well with they're character choices. LOTR on the other hand - not getting Eowyn, Faramir, Gondor or an armoured Witch-King is inexcusable.
  4. The TIE Prototype looks fantastic. Would love to see the other TIEs from the OT redone in this style.
  5. I've spotted the Witch-King Battle at Myer a few weeks ago but none of the others. Toyworld is the only one I've seen with all four sets in stock. I think someone mentioned earlier that Toys R Us might also have a few of them.
  6. We've gotten military characters before though with Colonel Hardy in the Man of Steel sets and several minifigures in the Indiana Jones line. I don't think thats really an issue for a character like General Ross.
  7. I'm not holding my breath for anymore X-Men sets while Marvel's holding a grudge against Fox. They won't even release the latest X-Jet set to Australian retailers. The only way to get the set here is to buy it online.
  8. Toyworld, Toys R Us and Myer are all selling the new sets.
  9. Treebeard looks perfect! Fantastic work, especially on the face. Would love to see this on Lego Ideas. I would support it in an instant.
  10. Really happy to see Minas Tirith reach 10,000 supporters. If Lothlorien can keep the momentum going and stay on the frontpage hopefully it can do the same. Shame Edoras isn't doing as well. It could use a "Staff Pick" to gain some much needed attention.
  11. For me my preference would be: 1. Armoured Sauron 2. Bear Beorn 3. Bolg (although I'd prefer a minifigure based on his older design over the Azog 2.0 version) 4. Armoured Azog (don't particularly care for him to be honest) I know it wouldn't be the most accurate representation of the character, but I'd be completely fine with Sauron reusing the Witch-King's crown on a matching silver head. It would be a cheaper alternative to creating a brand new head/helmet mold for him.
  12. While its great to see Minas Tirith doing so well, it would be even better other LOTR themed projects could get some extra attention. Here's some of the ones that stood out for me: Edoras - https://ideas.lego.com/projects/36278 The Battle of Kazad Dum - https://ideas.lego.com/projects/70624 Lothlorien Swan Ship - https://ideas.lego.com/projects/51716 Nazgul on Fell Beast - https://ideas.lego.com/projects/41453 Fall of the Witch-King - https://ideas.lego.com/projects/19148 Cirith Ungol - https://ideas.lego.com/projects/70259 Battle of Osgiliath - https://ideas.lego.com/projects/84994 Destruction of the Ring - https://ideas.lego.com/projects/83657 The Forbidden Pool - https://ideas.lego.com/projects/45646 Doors of Durin - https://ideas.lego.com/projects/80650 Bilbo's 111th Birthday - https://ideas.lego.com/projects/69033 There were some other beautiful projects although many of them were far too large and complex to ever be realistically released as a set. Still supporting them does send Lego the message that there's still an interest in the LOTR line: Lothlorien - https://ideas.lego.com/projects/70260 Argonath - https://ideas.lego.com/projects/10944 Minas Tirith - https://ideas.lego.com/projects/70809 Barad-Dur - https://ideas.lego.com/projects/60514 Rivendell - https://ideas.lego.com/projects/72851 Would be great to see any other good projects people come across. Every bit of support counts.
  13. Love the new crocodile and modernized pirate wench. I probably won't be collecting this line since the sets are pretty similar to the last pirates wave, but I'll definitely be picking up some of those updated figures.
  14. Minas Tirith is now up to 7490 supporters. If it can keep itself on the Ideas frontpage it should be able to get to 10000 in no time. Hopefully the hype for the final Hobbit movie will help keep the momentum going in the coming weeks.
  15. Same here. Its nice to get characters in their comic book costumes as well as those who haven't appeared in any films yet like MODOK. Hopefully future waves can still find a balance between movie and cartoon sets.
  16. Maybe some Lego Youtubers can help promote it?
  17. A mask similar to the one in that pic would look great on Cap, but I'd prefer he had a regular flesh head underneath instead of a blue one. At least that way you'd also have the option of displaying him as Steve Rogers.
  18. Nice to see Minas Tirith hitting the frontpage: http://www.theonering.net/torwp/2014/10/26/93479-support-for-this-lego-minas-tirith-proposal-is-snowballing/
  19. The Hailfire Droid looks decent although still a bit small for my liking. The minifigure line up is horrible though. More brittle Super Battle Droids and a rehashed polybag Clone? Would've been better getting a new Jedi character, or even an updated one like Ki-Adi-Mundi without the anime face. The Jedi Starfighter and Ventress both look awesome. Still would be nice to have a non-anime modern version of her, but the microseries one is still good to have. Shame they're still using the same hairpiece for Anakin instead of taking advantage of Kanan's new mold.
  20. I rarely buy from S@H to be honest. Much easier and cheaper to just go down to the local Target or Big W store and pick up sets from there. It doesn't make any sense to hold it off that long though. It already should have been released months ago.
  21. No sign of the Hobbit sets so far, or the X-Men one.
  22. Hopefully the Avengers Tower won't be as skinny as what the Daily Bugle was. Something covering a 16x16 baseplate instead of 8x16 would be ideal.
  23. Did you see if Ventress and Anakin are based on the microseries or the CGI Clone Wars cartoon?
