  1. Crossbones set Crossbones is surprisingly very comic-booky and I like the look of his jeep quite a bit. Also nice to have an MCU Falcon along with Black Widow in a cheap set although its a shame they just reused the AOU figure instead of a new one more suited to this movie. Black Panther set Good to see Captain America's unmasked face has a unique print this time instead of reusing Obi-Wan's. The new hairpiece looks good as well. Black Panther looks great too and I'm glad Bucky comes with an unmasked face this time. The black jet looks well designed but I'm not as fond of the jeep. Airport set Giant Man looks fantastic! This is exactly what the Sentinel in the X-Men set should have been. Scarlet Witch also looks much better now with a more accurate hairpiece and its nice to see War Machine will definitely be included. Not sure I really need another Quinjet, but the rest of the airport looks well designed. While I'm glad we're getting Agent 13 it looks like they took a few shortcuts with her minifigure by reusing Princess Leia's face and giving her the wrong hair colour.
  2. Saw the movie last night. Some (SPOILER) thoughts on the new sets.
  3. I don't mind them reusing it. Claire's face suits her a lot better than the old Lois face did. Still would prefer a classic Lois Lane over another DCU version though.
  4. While I prefer Catwoman using a flesh head over a black one, its nice to see this face print actually lines up with the mask properly this time. Still waiting for her to get a proper update in the main line of sets though along with Two-Face.
  5. Glad to see I'm not the only one who loves these. I didn't have much interest in the racers at first but might pick them up now for the novelty of these figures. They look awesome!
  6. The Knight works surprisingly well as a Rohan Soldier. I'll definitely be picking up a few. The new mold for the Queen's dress would also work very well for some of Queen Amidala's costumes.
  7. The podracer from the rumour list you posted back on Page 6.
  8. That seems like a bit of a stretch, especially if the UCS Hoth set was originally supposed to be released before the AT-AT's retirement. Not to mention the videos on Lego's website often showcase multiple sets. Battle of Naboo for example includes both the Flash Speeder and Naboo Fighter. Prequel Battle features the Senate Commando battlepack, AAT, Battle Droid Carrier and Hailfire Droid in the one video. Just because the Battle of Hoth video features both Echo Base and an AT-AT doesn't mean they're coming together in one set.
  9. The set itself disapoints me more than Boba's head. The mechanism to lower Han is not only poorly executed but it prevents being able to expand the set into a full circular platform. That and the lack of any connection points crushes the hope of their being more Cloud City expansions to combine this set with. The play feature under the control panel also seems completely pointless. I have no idea what its supposed to represent.
  10. I don't think its too difficult. They have the right idea with the main gate as the centerpiece. For me the main problem is that the side rooms aren't substantial enough and the base feels incomplete as a result. A larger command center in addition to the Medical Bay, Tauntaun pens and power functions to operate the gate would go a long way to improving the set. Think 7879 Echo Base but with the main gate in the center where the hinges are, and the level of detail you'd expect from a set like the Ewok Village.
  11. It doesn't hurt to put it up anyway. Even though it will never be made, it at least shows Lego there's enough interest in the idea that they might consider their own version down the line.
  12. I like the build for the Probe Droid. Probably the best one yet. The colours seem a little random though and would look a lot better if it was all black like the previous versions.
  13. Definitely agree on more Jedi Council members. It was really a wasted opportunity not throwing in any new Jedi in the new Spider Droid thats coming out. Although Adi Gallia and Jocusta Nu are easier to recreate, I'd still say they're important to have official minifigures given their prominence in TCW/AOTC and actually playing a role in the story. Coleman Kcaj by comparison is a little too obscure even by background character standards. For me if it was a choice between the two I prefer the characters that actually did something. They could distinguish Adi Gallia from Stass Allie pretty easily by tweaking the costume, giving her regular eyes and changing the skin tone (dark flesh instead of reddish brown)
  14. I mainly want to see more X-Men characters: - Cyclops, Wolverine, Storm, Rogue, Beast, Gambit and Jubilee in their costumes from the 90s cartoon - Professor X - Jean Grey (preferably as Phoenix but the 90s cartoon costume is good too if she comes with an alternate unmasked head like Captain Marvel) - Iceman - Angel/Archangel - Colossus - Nightcrawler - Kitty Pryde And for the villains: - Mystique - Sabretooth - Juggernaught big fig - Mr. Sinister and big fig Apocalypse both based on the 90s cartoon
  15. One thing to consider is that the new Death Star may not be a complete redesign. There's a good chance we could just be looking at a re-release with minor alterations - the minifigures more detailed, some pieces substituted with modern parts, but the overall set being identical to before. Remember the situation with the Winter Village Toy Shop this year:
  16. I wouldn't mind seeing Amanaman but there are other Jabba's Palace characters I'd like to see first like Yakface, Tessek, Lyn Me, 8D8, CZ Droid, Klaatu Guard plus Droopy McCool and Sy Snootles to round off the original Max Rebo Band. Definitely agree on Zuckuss, 4-LOM and the Force Ghosts. At the very least it would be nice to have a Force Ghost Obi-Wan come with a new Dagobah set. Also I hope we eventually see Rey, Poe, Han and Leia in their alternate costumes from TFA.
  17. The design is different enough and the Inquisitor's TIE should be retired by the time the Summer wave hits anyway.
  18. Why stop there? New Classic Leia, R2-Q5 with modern head printing, Navy Troopers with updated officer uniforms, Tatooine Luke without cheekbones, a proper Imperial RA-7 Droid instead of a black C-3PO, new Stormtrooper Luke and Han... It will be interesting to see if they also throw in a few extras like R5-J2, Imperial Gunners or Imperial Crewmen who weren't released in sets until after the original Death Star came out.
  19. The current OT Stormies and PT Clones still have the black "T-crotch" on the legs. It was fine in the 90s where it added some colour variation, but it looks dated now and is completely unneccessary now when the black undersuit can just be printed on the legs. TFA Stormtroopers don't have the black crotch and they look much better without it.
  20. This is the first I've heard of it. I thought we were only getting the A-Wing. I do like the idea of Lego releasing additional smaller waves apart from the standard Summer and Winter ones. It worked out pretty well this year with the ROTJ/TPM sets.
  21. The ceiling is high enough that Leia has no problems standing up inside the ship. And the overhead shot shows there should be enough space to fit in 8 minifigures in addition to the pilot. For a set this size I think its pretty good.
  22. Both sets look fantastic! I especially love the amount of space in the interior of the Resistance Transport. The options to customize the Resistance Troopers helmets are nice and remind me a lot of the accessories the Clone Troopers used to have. I'm not too sure about the brown marks on Ackbar's head. I don't remember them standing out that much in ROTJ. Also nice to see Leia's head is indeed identical to the one from this year's Imperial Shuttle set with only a few extra lines to depict she's older. I always like consistancy among minifigures that depict the same character. Now bring on TFA Luke Skywalker!
  23. He's definitely long overdue for one. The classic hairpiece is dated and looks lazy compared to all the other main characters who have their own unique hairpieces.
  24. We definitely need a Mawhonic. His podracer has been out for what... 15 years now? And you can't have a racer without its pilot. Teemto and Ben Quadinaros would also be nice to have, along with other non-podracer Boonta Eve characters like Fode & Beed and the Gella Twi'lek twins. The new CMF queen really makes me wish we'd see more Queen Amidala minifigures. The dress piece would be perfect for the Senate, Funeral and Royal Starship gowns. The cape and shoulder pads would also be a nice way of replicating her dark overcoat from the senate hearing scene. Nice to see the sumo hair in dark brown too, although a shame its printed. Would be perfect on Medical Frigate Leia. Also now that Hasbro is releasing a Crimson Corsair (or "Sidon Ithano") figure from TFA, I hope Lego won't be too far behind on one either. I get the feeling this guy is definitely going to get his own following like Boba Fett and Aurra Sing did despite the limited screentime.
  25. She was seen piloting the A-Wing in the latest episode of the show so I think there's a strong chance we'll see her.
